The working man's song. Especially for those who walk in and out of a factory every day of the week. Many shine on the assembly line and never are noticed. Wing the air guns and the torque tools. Roll those tool carts and swing the wrenches as the conveyor and the overhead crane keeps rolling by.

Warrior Soul is a great band. And your totally right, they should have been HUGE! I used to listen to WS back in the day and they helped pull me through some very hard times. :)
Label mishandling. They sat on the first album too long, then didn't like Kory producing and never really pushed the band. The first 3 albums are fantastic, and I LOVE the 3rd (Salutations From The Ghetto Nation). Unfortunately, after that they were running out of money, changed labels after the fourth and also changed direction and band members at that point. What could've been...
Top quality band but never given the recognition they deserved. Hard rockers with a hardcore punk attitude who sure could play and put out brilliant, insightful and incisive social commentary in their lyrics. One of a kind with a sound they made totally their own that no band has ever come near to replicating. This track is a masterpiece and Warrior Soul are one of my fave acts of all time.
+willy286 I was there.... London......(only tour/gig I missed of their's was Donnington) Condition Human is none too shabby either, best thing in decades
Should they have been more popular? Yes, but it was easier to sell bland big-box bands with simpler, proven formulas or apathetic rage wrapped in flannel. More flash with less substance makes more money before people realize how quickly those songs get old. This is still appealing years later because the music and lyrics are both powerful. It's probably why their fans (myself included) still listen to their songs today.
Hell yeah, you're spot on. There's a ton of amazing bands out there that just didn't get their dues even though they paid them tenfold. I'll add Trouble and Raging Slab to the list.
i can only imagine how tough it must have been for these bands to maintain and survive back then.its not like your the beatles , whereas your so big you have to cease touring , and just record albums to maintain your contract.
Well said TheElvis, one of many quality, underrated bands who just never got the breaks. It goes to show how cras and superficial the music business is, always has been. Because if it was truly about music and just music alone then this band should have at least been given decent exposure. But as we know its not just about the music, its also about trends and fashion. WS didn't quite tick all of those boxes for the boys upstairs. Just look at how Geffen pushed Nirvana forward by comparison.
I was able to see these guys open for Ryche in Fargo, ND on '91 Empire tour. I knew their music because of Headbangers Ball. Kory was a badass & probably had the longest hair in metal. As a support band they weren't given enough time, but made the best of it. Ryche was awesome as usual. Another underrated band from that time was Dirty Looks. Cool from the Wire kicks ass from start to finish. Henrik Ostergaard had a unique voice (better than Bon Scott) & was just a cool lookin fucker just like Kory. RIP RJD & Henrik O.
