What do you guys think??
His befriending of the dog paid off, showing that the Dev Patel character is also intelligent and thinks things through thoroughly. I loved this movie so much.
Glad you loved it!
Not a shaky cam fan at all but I'll give this film a go. I agree with you, "it's how you tell the story." Nice review and nice hair blow out👍
Haha thanks man! I call it "just getting out of the shower" look hahaha
Looking forward to checking out Monkey Man soon.
'Boy Kills World' with Bill Skarsgard looks pretty great too!
I haven't heard of that one! I will take a look! I also will watch your custom clip cover video soon!
Its a 7/10 for me. Given the budget and devs 1st movie as a director I'll give it a pass. Honestly movie is way better than big Hollywood budget
Yea it was fun!
Great review Brandon, thanks
My pleasure!
I admire Dev Patel’s passion behind the camera and emotionally charged performance in front of the camera. The action was fun at times but a little shaky and choppy more often than I would’ve wanted. The movie also dragged a lot for me in the middle. I liked it and enjoyed my time, but I think it is being a little overhyped. Thats just me though. Great review!
We're on the same page there Zach! Thanks for stopping by :)
09:59 . You are welcome :)
Thanks :)
I'm a bit concerned about the overuse of shaky-cam and the pacing issues mentioned by you and others. But I hear the fight scenes are too good to pass up. The blows are so visceral you practically feel it in your teeth. So yeah, I'll be see "Monkey Man" along with "Late Night with the Devil" in theaters. It does sound like this movie would've benefited from a more ruthless editor though. It's almost like we got the unfiltered 'Director's Cut', which is usually the better version, when instead a more focused & lean 'Theatrical Cut' would've been superior.
Hopefully you like it when you see it
Gave me kickboxer vibes, fun martial arts flick with cool style.
Totally!
I gave it the same score and i definitely felt it in the middle. The camerawork is a big reason as well why I can’t love the movie overall. We’re on the same page here.
It's really too bad hey?
@@BrandoCritic yeah I also heard they broke a bunch of cameras filming and ran out of money and had to film on an iPhone.
Hahaha really? Well, props to them for making it work!
Movie is awesome
Glad you loved it!
