If she hasn't realized how foolish she is at eighteen, and still haven't figured it out at twenty five, the law doesn't need to be changed because some people never get smart or don't get their sht together before thirty. There are people who are mature at fourteen but it doesn't mean we should wonder if the age of adulthood should be lowered. Infantilising adults and babying kids when they should know better is how people like her are created.

You know, OP, what I have to wonder is: what’s worse, a parent that did only fans and got their child bullied, or a parent that believes it’s not child abuse to give their child sugar and cannot explain to their child why sugar is a poisonous drug?
I never, ever heard a single one of my classmates call out another classmate for their parent having been in porn.
Of course, I’ve heard “your mom’s a hoe,” but that’s not “LOL your mom did porn and I’ve seen it.”
You know what I heard all the time? How fucking disgusting I was for having been morbidly obese. I remember once asking in my health class “if sugar is so bad, why are we also told we need sugar for brain function?” and I was LAUGHED AT. If a thin person had asked the same question, I doubt they’d have received the same flack. Of course, the teacher didn’t have enough understanding of science to explain that while the brain needs glucose, that glucose can be created from proteins during a process known as gluconeogenesis, which creates glucose from protein, but only if we don’t consume carbohydrates, or consume very little in the way of carbohydrates.
I had to learn that on my own.
Now that I know what I know about the deadly effects of sugar, and especially fructose, it’s almost hard not to be resentful of my parent that worked for Pepsi for a decade.
My parents let me drink that stuff. I get the feeling that at least an OF parent is less likely to allow their child to partake in their… line of work, when compared to a parent working for a soda company, fast food company, ice cream stand, processed food factory, etc harmful “foods.”

When people choose the “crying in a Ferrari”, I always wonder why crying isn’t the first problem they try to address. I have a feeling that our generation as a whole seems to have lost hope in the idea of finding true happiness. The further we stray from God as a society, the more impossible true happiness and life seems because the only way to reach it is through Jesus. I say that as someone who have struggled for 14 years with depression and anxiety. Once I truly gave my life to Christ, that's when I started living and got set free from everything. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life" and that his yolk is easy while the yolk of the world is heavy. To interview the men would be as depressing as interviewing drug addicts, those men are very lonely, isolated and desperate, and the women profit off of the mens blatant struggles to cope with their loneliness. That's often why we call it "lonely fans".
You should be aware, a growing large percentage of men cant get a relationship, women are picky, we know the majority of men never get picked, they are deemed unattractive and feel invisible to women on day 1, and society shows it does not care, in fact society benefits from allowing women to fleece these men for all their money as these women waste this money just as fast on vanity items and overpriced junk.
Make no mistake, if we painted a scenario where women were getting taken advantage of by some "super sexy man", he would get lynched and rightly so, but when women blatantly do it to men, so many people refuse to blame her for her disgusting behaviour.

The onlyfans sphere is dangerous because it sucks in mostly young women in a tough place who think they can better their life this way and don't understand that most of the creators on onlyfans are not even in the top 5%, they're that 95% that you never hear of that doesn't break out. When they finally figure that out they're earned no cash, have no dignity but have a bunch of porn floating around the internet with no way of deleting it.

    • @ZacksRockingLifestyle
      @ZacksRockingLifestyle Рік тому +9

(I’m not for OF, but I believe you’re mathematically off and may be looking at this problem from the wrong direction).
Aren’t there only 3 million creators and about 190-something million users?
How can that be “mostly young women”? If Only Fans is mostly women, are there really that many gay and bi femcels?
      How does that work?
Perhaps I’m being a contrarian here, but what would the existence of porn matter if nobody cared about it or wanted it anymore? I believe the problem with porn is the consumer. Demonizing porn is like demonizing alcohol. Are you familiar with the horrors of the prohibition? I don’t drink anymore, haven’t had a sip of drinking alcohol in over a year now, but holy fuck, if it gets outright banned, I won’t stand for that. Same with sugar. I so barely consume sugar now. It’s POISON. …shouldn’t be consumed but shouldn’t be completely banned.

I will say, since there are so many creators, people are talking like once you put something out there, it's automatically out in the internet forever.
Only way that happens is if someone takes your content and consciously posts it on a third party site. The smaller following you have, the less likely that is to happen.
I'm in no way advocating for OF, but this idea that "once you post (no matter how small your following is), it's on the internet forever" is a little misleading.
Reality is, the larger following, the more money you make, the higher the chance your content is on the internet forever. Elle Brooke? Oh yes, that stuff is on there forever, no doubt. Jane from Idaho with 48 subscribers? I mean maybe, but maybe not.

Being poor and happy is a really hard thing to achieve. If you don't have food to eat, a house of your own to call home, access to healthcare and education, you probably aren't gonna be very happy. I wish developing countries could still rely on big families and communities but the reality is most of us have to work harder to not just succeed but also survive. She's 25 and hasn't realised she's going to lose the majority of her fans (and income) when she hits 30. "Cry in a Ferrari" was a smart comeback on her part. Regardless on what we think of her career, she made very quotable lines that out-manuvered his question whilst being respectful on other's opinions. That's the real reason she's the top porn star. If she agreed she felt shameful, she would've got attacked. If she became too prideful and complained about people's hate on her lifestyle, we would've hated her.
The less addressed issue is, her reward is exceptionally good for the sacrifice because she is the top of the top. The rest of the girls will probably only cover part of their monthly rent for their dignity.

It used to be where it would be considered slightly acceptable to be a stripper if you were using it to pay your way through school. Now it is considered ok to drop the school part and pursue the sex work full-time.
As a parent now (whose mom a long time ago told me she was okay with me being the stripper to put my way through school) I couldn't imagine being supportive of either scenario for my own daughter.
Societal, I think we have become innundated with narcissistic selfish toxic people. Ironically, my mindset has been drastically changed by the discussions around the new little mermaid movie (this will relate to this video in a second, bear with me as I explain). The new movie was advertised as a girl who doesn't go to the land for a boy anymore, but it seemed to miss the mark on the original movie. Ariel always loved land, she went to land not because of a boy but because a witch took advantage of her naivity around love. Still, Ariel uses her own agency to achieve her wants and desires. In the orignal, love and self-sacrifice for someone you deeply care about is important. Sacrificing your own wants and desires and giving them up for others in a life of servitude and compassion is a big theme in the little mermaid. You can't have your cake and eat it too is also a message, where Ariel gives up her voice for legs and still uses her opportunities to get to know Eric, enjoy land and achieve her dreams. When I was a young teen on Tumblr, I viewed the disney princess movies through a similar lense as the modern one; the princess always needed to be rescued, especially Ariel. But after the heavier discussions around the remakes, it's simply not true. I have come to learn the importance of living a life of servitude for those around me, for those I love. I find greater fulfillment and purpose in helping those around me, in nurturing loving relationships instead of career goals (and I'm a civil engineer) or getting the best clothes or doing whatever I want. My mental health has sky-rocketed. I'm more empowered than ever. It's a shame the values of femininity have been lost in the face of "women can be as cold-hearted as men, and greed and selfishness are good values to have."

"what a bunch of spoiled babies!" "sound like a buncha communists to me!" etc etc. in the U.S. we've turned everything into a market: religion, journalism, health care, politics. it's all done for money. people have gotten rich flooding communities with opioids and the right says nothing about it. people have gotten massively wealthy selling jesus and conservatives think it's great but a woman claps her cheeks online for some $ and suddenly our culture is in decay.

I'm 34 and things I thought were a good idea when I was 25 are things I would NEVER do today. You dont really, truly think about what your future self would think ten years from now when youre 25. You're still very self absorbed and in the now when you're 25. That is just how it is. You're a newly hatched adult and your world view is still very egocentric. The broader perspective, the more humbling mature adult idea of the world starts truly coming into view at the tail end of your 20s.
I was 28 when I, for the first time ever, even considered asking my parents what the 20s were like for them. I had just always assumed that my parents always had had their shit together and made all the correct decisions while I was a huge, massive disappointment. It never even crossed my mind to talk to them about it. And when i did, i learned that they had been just as stupid, selfabsorbed and chaotic as me. That the put together, prepared and calm people i have always known, was soemthing they perfected for decades.
There are so many things you dont consider when you're 25 and to throw your whole life into a hole for quick money in exchange for yohr dignity, is somwthing that will haunt you for the rest of your life. The closest i ever got to this type of shit was to tip toe into drawing erotica. I thought it would be awesome and it wasn't the same as pornography, right? I did exactly ONE gig as an erotica illustrator and then i quickly realized that, that is not for me.
Still, I sometimes get asked at cons to sign the book I helped illustrate. I do it with a smile, but if i could, i would love to go back in time and tell my younger self to not take that job. Barely anyone has read that book and it is very underground, but I still wish it didnt exist out there.
I cant imagine the girls who actually sell their bodies for cash online. It will never go away and it will be the first thing to pop up when your name is searched. Like fucking hell... there is a life after the 20s and its a lot more serious and important than you think.

Having more money can make your life more comfortable and, in that sense, it can make you happy by solving the day to day problems that come with living in society. So many people are depressed and distraught because they feel heavy burnout trying to struggle against the cost of living. It's deeply demoralizing to feel like you simply can't afford to live. Money is the cure to that plight.
But if you pursue money at the cost of relationships, family, community and your passions you can end up wanting the things that money can't buy. Being rich and feeling alone is a special kind of hell.

@@marenkendall7413no, just realistic how people change. All the women said the same thing when I was young. And later, most changed their mind. Same with dudes even. Only difference now is, saying basic facts is seen as "cringe". "oh no, he said a statistical truth that women want kids." you know how many adult stars say what she did? And they all end up with kids.
Hell, I said the same thing at 25. I did NOT WANT KIDS. I was vehement about it. Only difference is, you can still say things to men. Say it to a woman now, and people become sensitive.

I think lower depression rates in underdevelopped countries have more to do with having outside needs than anything else. If you have to worry about how to buy your children clothes, you won't wallow in misery. If you have outside problems, problems that you can at least try to solve with hard work, then you're less likely to dwell on your mental/spiritual problems. Another thing is that if you don't have the money for a psychologist, then you'll never get diagnosed.
Edit: I've just remembered a great line from a pastor in my community: "Money should be a tool, and never a goal."

The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. The sad thing is, eventually the money will run out, the young age, the nice looks, all of it, will evaporate one day. By then it will be too late to reestablish yourself.

I kind of appreciate her honesty and ability to accept herself as she is. There's not many people nowadays that can do that so it is refreshing to see every so often someone who is actually acknowledging their truth and if that's what made them successful they kind of just work with it they don't have to apologize for that. Something I almost forgot to mention as well and this goes hand-in-hand with the being successful part actually liking your job. She's genuinely seems like someone who actually enjoys her job I think that's another thing about our generation it's one thing for us to be successful and all of that but as I mentioned we want stability so it's not just getting rich it's also do we love what we're doing? Because what's the point of getting rich if you're not enjoying what you're doing?

Personally, as a millenial my stance on OnlyFans has broadened in the past year; in the sense that I don't judge those who do it as harshly as I did in the past. Reason being is that there are outside forces that aren't fighting fair either. The Education-Industrial complex and student loans being at almost $2Trillion now, car notes are looking like mortgages nowadays, home prices and thus the mortgages on them (while they have dropped somewhat recently) are several times more than what the homeowners make in a year, which didn't used to be. So now, I understand if people (because it's not just women on OF and the like) want to go the OF route for a little while just to get their pockets right.

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 valid points - thank you! I couldn’t agree with the “money don’t buy happiness” (among others) because sure yeah, I guess not. But, it gives you the resources necessary to attain happiness. I grew up in poverty, I know this! All of a sudden it’s a problem when women want to capitalize on their own sexiness.

    Honestly Patience,
I think things are going to reverse & the kids who's parents either did not make it big or did not get involved with OF are going to be teased by those who's parents did just because there are more females doing an OF account than are not. I'm not a fan of OF personally and will not join into that world myself, but I do understand the curiosity about joining the community. Thank you for covering this topic & yes I think women need to be made aware of both the pros and cons of the business.

I think class needs to be accounted into all of this. My impression is that most people creating and consuming the only fans content are middle class people who are not satisfied with their lives and keep imagining moving up the class ladder, into the heights where they will not have to work anymore. Lower class/poor people have actual long lasting existential problems and don't have the luxury of abandoning their law degree in order to move into something as short lived as online porn.

    • @cmm5542

Yep, well put. People like to pretend class no longer matters to them, but it actually IS a defining factor for a good number. And spot on that people in real poverty cannot afford to make these kinds of decisions; they have REAL problems to deal with.

A lot of girls start OF knowing only the .001% of creators and thinking that it is easy. The reality is that it is extremely oversaturated and they are going to earn 20$ a month and quit, and their "content" is going to be online forever. It is like the female version of guys starting to stream on Twitch thinking that they are the next XQC.

This is why shame is not always a bad thing. Having a sense of shame and modesty says a lot about you and instantly gives you value. You may be proud of this now but you will regret it later.
