    Germany.
Various shots of the city of Frankfurt-am-Main, where Johann Wolfgang Goethe was born and grew up. Picturesque houses and buildings are seen in the city, and the Town Hall Guard walk about the narrow streets. We see people stopping to look at the exterior of Goethe's home, now the Goethe Museum. Inside we see his study. In Weimar we see the homes of Goethe and Herder Schiller and the castle and theatre. A statue outside the latter shows Goethe and Schiller standing together. We then see the room where Goethe died and his grave.
