We had a friend solo sailing up past Somalia to get to the med with buddy boats. He lost the other bots and was boarded by 3 pirates while he was checking the engine in the aft birth. 2 of them boarded the boat and he fought them off with a cricket bat. Broke one of the guys arms with the first blow and he fell into the water the other guy got got the willow to his head and shoulder and jumped off and they retreated. He was so lucky and then after it was all over he realised he was nude. The pirates didn’t want to deal with a crazy nude 65 year old Aussie bloke with a cricket bat.
Both sailors had an extremely level-headed and professional response to the emergency. No useless screaming or panic, no grabbing the camera to record, just immediate action plan, clear communication, and execution of the necessary steps to survive. Absolutely incredible, and so happy you're safe. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us all.
Speaking from a woman’s perspective, Yevette you did amazing! You did two critical things immediately- turning on the engine (s) and notifying Darcy with few words as possible. Then you went straight to the deck to confront intruders. I find that amazing and you a lot of credit for acting and not freezing.👍 well done! Robin sv Dulcinea

Don't beat yourselves up. Sure you may have made a few mistakes, but that's how you learn. Under the circumstances you both did amazingly well. Glad you both OK, look forward to next week's episode 😊
What a terrible thing to happen! You both acted extremely well given the circumstances. Nice to have family there to help you process the event. Lots of love to the family and Coconut of course!
Thanks for this update, guys! I’m sure it has been a rough week for you guys dealing with the emotional aftermath of the attack, and then reading some of the upsetting comments to last weeks video. I was actually nervous watching the first part of this video, knowing what was impending. So glad you guys are okay. Hopefully, visiting family, and of course, Coconut being back will help with getting things back to normal. Looking forward to seeing more happy times and smiling faces on future videos! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Congratulations, you represent well Canada. Don’t be to critical and humble. You handled horrific events that few people will ever handle. Bring us back your beautiful smiles.
Hahahaha. Thats what you believe??? Someone gets attacked by Pirates and then says absolutely nothing about it? If you were attacked by Pirates and you had an audience that you knew would wanna know what happened. Would you not say something about it? Does that even sound logical to you?
I first read about this in the Grenada Cruisers group which is how I found your channel. I'm so glad you're OK and I hope our lovely country of Grenada is treating you well during the holiday season. Thank you for taking the time to let everyone know about how great Las Roques is. I hope lots of people go visit. I hear it's amazing from others as well.
I can tell you’re both shaken up, especially Ivette who is always so smiley. It really is an eye opener on the many dangers that sailors can face. Stay safe! Can’t wait to see Coconut ❤
Considering you're fairly new boaters, you did great. You don't have to explain yourselves to others; especially people who don't understand boating life.❤
I think the both of you did an amazing job protecting yourselves in that situation. These arm chair sailors have no clue how they would handle an attack like that. You guys should be very proud of yourself for way you reacted. ❤️❤️
This has certainly knocked the smiles and giggles out of you two. Stay safe for the rest of your travels. You did an amazing job of protecting the boat and yourselves. ❤
The fact you are so Humble and have taken a moment to assess it all and go over your actions/reactions , shows that you are learning everything needed to be seasoned and safe and self reliant. One suggestion is investing in a wailing siren with a remote control worn by whomever is on watch at night. These 200+ decibel sirens are a bit louder than an ambulance or police vehicle and designed to disorient anyone in its vicinity. Just testing it after install can bring on panic attacks and heart palpitations. Check them out. ps. Venezuela Sucks. its overrun with gangs and bad people nowadays and the " good " times are few and far between. Most cruisers avoid it like the Plague. Take Care Guys !!
How ANYONE could say the attack was fake or staged is just BS. First, these two are the most genuine people I have encountered with my UA-cam fascination with sailing. Second, you can clearly hear the approaching vessel, the look on Yvette's face cannot be "acted". If you really need to try to discount this terrifying situation, maybe just SAIL ON or as we say on land, KICK ROCKS ". YOU TWO ARE THE BEST!!
The people who say this are low self-esteem people who dislike any great action of others. They are the flat-earth demographic and are also sub-average intelligence. Just ignore them
Water thugs come onboard firing in the air and shouting threats. Females scream. That's a 99% for sure. Anyone asleep awakes a bit disoriented as the brain boots up. That dude was silent, waking up not answering her or making a sound. How strange. That was the quietest, dumbest thugs I have ever not heard. 😂
You really are gullible. You don't know these people at all and just believe what you are told. Why was the camera on and then there was only about a minute or two of what was supposedly going on? A boat could be heard in the distance and that was about it. Why didn't the camera at least record the audio of someone boarding the ship and getting grabbed by the neck and then disarmed, or of them fleeing the situation, or even video of them after the incident when they're still upset?
Someone tell me where in the video is the attack? Did I miss something and why are they talking nonsense after the attack? Did I miss something really confusing
Thank God yall came out safe at least physically, I know it's taken an emotional toll. I just wanted you to know my thoughts. And prayers are with y'all, and we enjoy your videos very much.
Yvette falls for a beautiful sensitive soul who is also a physical badass. #legend. Thank you for putting your hearts out and sharing this remarkable, terrible story. You are both so strong.
I would like to suggest that Y’all don’t read through or comment to this or your last video. There are too many comments and why go through it? You don’t need to. Spoiler alert: About 95% of us support you♥️ The others are not worth mentioning and certainly aren’t worth reading. All of us who follow you know you; we understand that it may be healthier for you to not have the stress or expectation of reading and responding. Onward and Upward! Y’all are AWESOMENESS personified!
I'm new to the channel but you make this sound like some sort of cult. I have no clue about what the presumed criticism is about, but this is a freaking youtube channel. This couple clearly understand this, for them engagement probably is just positive for them. Don't turn yourself into a spokesperson for these people trying to make a business out of this, and PLEASE don't make this critism about you either. Glad to see everything went well and wish you Supernova speed for the couple!
I’m so sorry this happened to you. But your experience and how you handled it all has taught us all so much! Thank you for posting this video, and please don’t let those horrible pirates suck out any of your beautiful enthusiasm. You are heroes to all of us!
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with this video, and especially for your ending comments about Venezuela. If you don’t have scary experiences, you’re probably not spending much time afloat. I would hope that we would handle the situation you found yourselves in as well as you did. Smooth sailing…
Thank you for sharing this wild, intense experience. So glad to see and hear you're both safe. 💓 You're both such beautiful souls. So much love your way! 💫💫
Thank you for sharing your experience. I travelled alone throughout Canada, and carried "wasp" or "bear" spray as a method of defense. It sprays in a pretty straight line for many feet away and will temporarily blind an attacker, wasp, bear or human. It's legal in most countries. Another thing that I did when I had nothing else, was a can of hairspray and a lighter. It's a makeshift flame thrower...both made me feel a little safer under extreme circumstances. I hope you heal quickly, both emotionally and physically. xoxoxo
sailing life can be tough but you both got through it admirably, i first watched when you rescued coconut and binge watched all your videos before and since. glad this hasn't dampened your spirits, snuggles for coconut 😻🐈
I wouldn't characterize your actions as "luck", you guys did a lot of stuff correctly and with purpose, so you should give yourselves more credit because a lot of people have no successfully navigated the same situation. You both responded with the correct amount of speed and aggression, you both worked as a team, you made some great decisions like making yourselves invisible with no Nav lights, no interior lights and no AIS. Really important though, is that you are having a perfect debrief, and it sounds like you have developed and will continue to refine what you'll do next time this happens and how to avoid it entirely. Experienced sailors run into these situations, just don't be hard on yourselves, you did great.
Glad you guys are all OK. I would never criticize anyone for defending themselves, you did very well under the circumstances. Keep safe and all the best.
Most importantly is you both are okay and escaped the situation the way you did. Reflecting on events means you’re learning and will be far better prepared if this ever happens again. This video was very well done and you came at it in the best way possible. Second, please dismiss negative comments and don’t give them any thought, there are always people out there trying to knock down anyone they can. I think you both did great given the circumstances, hope all is well and continue on the amazing adventure.
Okay so I am new to your channel, but I do have the unique pleasure of binging your episodes from the beginning, and it's been an amazing experience watching it unfold. Please, please, please stop beating yourselves up over what happened. It's not your fault that people did this to you. Victims remorse is a very real thing. Glad you both are safe and hug Coco a little tighter :)
Hi guys. I'm so glad your family is with you. They'll help you get back to a sense of normalcy. I'm sorry about your back, Yvette. I hope that it's getting better by the time you read this. Sending love and healing thoughts. ❤ Lauren ❤
Crazy. Glad you folks are ok and sure is impressive how well you are recovering and getting on with things.Gotta just smile, right? Life is what happens while you're making plans. Cheers and smooth sailing!
Guys it was a tough watch so I cannot imagine having to go through it in person. I am happy that you came through it and came out with good results. Lesson learnt and continue to grow from strength to strength.
I am sorry for the scare you experienced but very happy to have found your channel. I enjoy watching sailors who are well prepared and humble. It is so nice to see crew wearing PFD’s and tethers. You two were very impressive with no panic and screaming! Go Canada!
Thank you for producing this very informative video. I have always wondered about pirates, guns and similar incidents. I am looking forward to watching more of your videos. Merry Christmas, stay safe and my prayers are with you.
You guys are both badass but bro took out 2 armed pirates SOLO now I'm a firm believer that any man should step up and try in that situation but the fact you pulled it off is crazy!!
@@redux467 I think lots of pirates don't want extra troubles so as soon as they noticed any resistance they chose to pass than board. Not to mention lots of times the pirates will only board to steal what you left outside like dingy engine, etc. Assuming you lock the companion way in time...
@@Septix You’re thinking wrong, most pirates have Aks, they’re known for being ruthless not scared of an unarmed man and woman with an expensive rig they could steal and hold them hostage for ransom.
I continue to be so impressed by both of you. Your inherent kindness and gentleness is amazing. That north coast of South America has a real reputation.. You both did fabulous work dealing with the situation. i am looking forward to seeing Coconut again next week. A few days ago a little kitten walked into the grounds of my family house in Runaway Bay Jamaica. Needless to say the little creature has made herself at home, has been accepted by the four dogs and the six other cats are making up their minds as to what they think of the little beauty.
So not a word on what really happened?? How many boats how many pirates did they take anything?? You went from pirate attack to talking about your sails arrangement?Like a journalist investigating a bank robbery - and talking about the price of ice cream price.
You seem exactly like richardp; same sentence structure, same illogical statements, same irrelevant questioning, and the same type of leading statements...
🇨🇦 amazing !!! And love how you basically feel 'one bad apple doesn't reflect on the rest of them'. Fair winds are wished for you as you sail further along ⛵
I appreciated this video and enjoy following your adventures as you gain experience. Pre and post assault segments are great. What’s missing is a clear chronological description of the attack and how you repelled it. There are references to injuries and the effectiveness of emerging from the forward hatch but no actual narrative of the attack. I think all us sailors would benefit from a clearer description of events. What kind of boat, how many assailants and most importantly, just how you drove them away. I am so glad your safe and wishing you fair winds going forward.
Their previous episode addresses this, & in the dark on a rough night, they have no idea how many or what weapons. Other than one guy with a gun & another with a fish killing bat trying to come on board. Most likely opportunistic fishermen smelling an easy target, possibly with only one hand gun on board, which went into the water. We will never know, except that they probably weren’t expecting two such strong sailors!
Glad you posted this one. The reactions on my comment to your previous vid on this were very toxic, as if it was fake (duh). If there is any people in this world that are NOT fake, it must be you two. Please, ignore the negative comments please and keep..... smiling!!!! 🙂 We all follow you for your smiles, so keep on going! 💚 The only difference now is we are all now very afraid of "bad-ass" Darcy that neutralises Pirates with his bare fists 🙂😜. thx for your free-to-watch content, appreciate it.
Agree 100%. The people who stated that is was fake obviously haven’t watch these two since the beginning and witnessed all of there actions. These two have always carried themselves with the utmost integrity. Unfortunately, the naysayers are probably people who’ve turned into cynical dummies from wasting too much time watching junk on TikTok. Ignore the poor fools. So grateful that Darcy and Evette are okay and will continue to share their wonderful and genuine sailing journey with us! 💙
We are built to flight, fight, or freeze and even trained people sometimes do the exact opposite of what they are trained to do. Anyone whom says different has lived a very blessed life.
Thanks for posting this. So glad you made it through without more serious injuries or worse. Happy New Year from Wasaga Beach 🇨🇦 🍁 Canada and Happy Sailing!
Geat to hear you both are ok. Hope her back gets better. The quick reactions from both of you during this was amazing. The kind of people I would want on my team if facing something similar. Having a small screw driver at all times can come in handy for unexpected situations that need "fixing", be it boat related or other.
Ivette and Darcy, sorry you had to go through this, but congratulations on handling the situation with decisiveness, determination, and to a good outcome. It could have gone quite differently. The fact that you could get back to sailing after notifying the authorities shows you are right where you should be. It wasn't 100% pretty, but it never is and you are handling this like champs. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn. You are one of the few lucky ones who may just have done both. Great job!
I am not familliar with the usual protocols. But in my opinion, you both did great. This is an incredibly stressful, and traumatic incident to have gone through. I am so thankful you are both safe, and alive at this point. With what happened, that could have ended quite different. Y'all were levelheaded, took action, moved forward with a plan immedieately, and have assessed what you did right, and what you could improve on. Seems to me like you both are pretty darn awesome and i am glad things worked out. One Love and keep those sails up.
Absolute legends. It's horrible that it happened and I'm sure you're both shaken up. But in terms of response you both did brilliantly. It sounds like you both experienced some fails in the aftermath with the sail. But you had just been boarded by pirates, give yourselves loads of grace and let that sht go. This was as successful an escape from a violent attack as you could ever hope for. Well done. May you enjoy your family time and Christmas, heal physically and mentally, and sew a new badge on your scouts uniform - "survive armed pirate attack". ❤
Just something you might want to consider if you haven’t already is to create code words that are can be used in emergency situations as you might hear in a hospital. Yelling out multiple words in a stressful situation can turn chaotic. For example… code red, code blue, code green, code yellow, code black could all have distinct meaning to the two of you. Glad your are safe and well.
You are THE BEST TEAM!!! I really love how genuine, smart, funny, clear and honest you two are. What a blessing it is to have you here! Both of you are tough as nails, though tempered and honourable souls! Stay as you are….. you do you! ❤
You are both two brave souls! I work in the security industry, on land, and in my capacity as a security consultant, am often call out after a burglary event, I have been with people who have been through such experiences, the only advice I have given to them is DO NOT LET THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE consume your life. Love you’re channel, please continue to enjoy your life, routing for you both, keep going Xx
Stumbled upon your video. Now subscribed. You guys are awesome and told a very educational story. In the aftermath....what an adventure ! Will follow your journey now and hopefully many more GOOD adventures for you !
Stumbled on to your channel by accident. I am now subscribed. I had no idea pirates were a real thing outside of the Somalia area. Wishing you safety and good health.
Thankfully, you are both safe, which is the main thing. I was getting frightened by the countdown clock to the attack, but I was assured you were both okay because of the video being made. I have now subscribed and will be watching your adventures, hopefully not as dramatic on this occasion. Thank you also for going through the good, the bad, and the ugly, which has been definitely helpful.
You guys are doing your adventuring amazingly. You try to plan and prep for unfavorable circumstances . You react and handle yourselves in the situation. And you evaluate what you can do better in retrospect. I salute you! Sorry that this happened to you, but as I stated in the last video; car jacking, mugging, kidnapping happens on land a lot more than people are informed about. Don’t let people convince anyone that sailing is anymore dangerous than any other life. Bless you both and I hope that this terrible event doesn’t keep you from enjoying the wonderful world of great people and cultures.
You both sprung into action very quickly and did amazing! You had a plan in action and also learned new things. It will take some time to get back to some normalcy. You both should be very proud of yourselves. So glad you both are ok. You guys are doing what most couldn’t do (lol especially me😳) God is watching over you both and protecting you. Have a Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you for the update! I am so glad you two are safe! It is very evident that you two are very shaken/upset, and for good reason. Try to not let this experience take the joy and excitement out of your lives and travels. It was simply amazing to see how quickly you two handled the situation, working in tandem. You make a great team! You talked about having discussed how you would handle different situations. Don't ever stop! My wife and I are avid divers, and have had many situations that we sat down afterwards and discussed thoroughly, not just with ourselves, but with our other dive buddies we were diving with. Having no intention of finger pointing, but to analyze what happened, good and bad, and how we can do better in the future. Not trying to sidetrack this with diving. I'm just saying, I think it's great you two talk and plan ahead of time, and also talk post incident to analyze the situation, looking at the good and the bad. I love it! It may take you two a while to get your infectious smiles and excitement back...that's OK. Take whatever time you need! Enjoy the holiday with the family and Capt. Coconut!🙂
Life at sea can sometimes be challenging. However, being blessed to travel the seas and all the natural beauty along with meeting amazing people make sea life worth it. Remember the good.❤❤❤
So happy you are ok! You are such a positive couple. This is the first of your videos I have seen and am already hooked. Much Love to both of you. Can't wait for the next one!
Your reaction what excellent and your explanation of the events was well prepared. Now you have to put this event behind you and your keep this as one of life’s stories that ended well for both of you. Grow from it and dont let it slow you down.
I’ve done thousands of miles so can I ask why she was inside making UA-cam videos? It’s against the law not to keep a proper lookout. It wasn’t just a cup of tea, she was making UA-cam footage.
That was a nerve wracking story as it unfolded. First time watching, and was great to see your channel,so was worried for you both. I think you handled it,and the aftermath, extremely well. Your response was immediate, and that was probably your biggest advantage, you had a plan and executed it perfectly. All the best, look forward to following your adventures.
I am very moved by this video. I don’t sail at all and do not know anything about sailing or follow sailing content, but I came across you on TikTok and was moved by how respectful and collected you are despite how traumatic this must have been. So I came to follow you on UA-cam. People can always say in hindsight what one should have done better, like those in your comments, yet everyone of us go through life still constantly making certain decisions we wish we hadn’t. There are some people who don’t even reflect on their decisions and learn from them. It is easy for someone to judge but hard to actually responded the way you guys did on the spot. So hope you are not too affected by any disrespectful comments on here. Thanks for making the video, I will probably never sail but I learned a lot from this video and found it very interesting 😊
I don’t know you two or your channel, but I’m just so happy you made it through that with very little harm to you both. Keep doing what you love! You seem like really good people! God bless.
You guys did it all right. Walking aka sailing away from that encounter means it all went well. You also learned from it and are humble and honest with your comments. Good on ya.
This was the only really dangerous pirate attack I've seen. I've seen people in places as bad as this but they were really booking, no lights, everything set up for no detection. No ais, nothing. I think you admitted the correct problem, being in that particularly bad area. The other attack was by one singular guy in an anchorage actually swimming to a boat and boarding. This was far more serious. I've started the playlist and need to find the attack (if you want to call it that) in Madagascar. It will be in the playlist soon. Plus this one.
Not sure which video you were watching but I saw no "pirate attack" in this video. A thirty second clip of some running about and lights being switched off is pretty unconvincing stuff.
*Everyone should watch the PREVIOUS VIDEO (ep72) for details on the attack as that’s the video when they first announced they were attack. At **27:20** they should have inserted a link to view the previous video for the attack details but I’m sure they were a bit frazzled when making this video as this was a very real and nerve-wracking experience for them to say the least. At **27:20** after the attack, you can see Darcy clearly upset and out of breath before taking care of the problem with the sails which occurred during the attack. If you have watched them from the very beginning then you’d would know that these two are very kind and genuine people who carry themselves with the utmost integrity. Also, in many of their videos they repeatedly state that they are rookie sailors inviting feedback so please be kind. I’m sure this incident was a very hard learning experience. It took away their constant smiles that we’re all used to seeing. Obviously they couldn't film defending themselves when being attacked but much appreciation for them sharing the incident with us to forewarn us once again to not navigate toward the Venezuela mainland.*
I'm glad that the two of you came out of this relatively unscathed. I do wish you had described the actual event in more detail, including how you managed to fight them off. Stay safe and happy new year to you both.
Merry Christmas to you both. Just stumbled on your channel and am subbing. You both kept calm and did what needed to be done. Hats off to you both-most would have been a mess. Don't beat yourselves up for this... other than route planning including routing planning with crappy weather. Your good, your together and you are both safe!
You guys are amazing, period ⭐️ Thank you for being so open, honest and authentic, we learn with you and it's such a genuine honor, again, so glad you are both ok and I wish you continued success and safe travels ❤ love and blessings
Idk why your video came across my feed i have NEVER watched anything on or about sailing but im sure glad it did because you two seem like amazing people and just this video alone has sparked my intrest in your channel and sailing all together!!!! You two are bad azz's!!!! Subscribed!!!!
Great episode, glad your ok 👍 I really love your content, I love how you take ownership for the incident even though it wasn't your fault, Venezuela looks beautiful and what you did for that lovely lady, sharing your food and promoting Venezuela as a safe happy place with good people was very nice of you guys.
OMG! glad from the fact this video that I am watching as proof, you both made it out safe and sound! all the best and I am watching the video now!!!
Glad to see you guys are OK. I wish for you a quick recovery both mind and body, sending good vibes your way!
Just ignore them
Who were the pirates attacking them for 30 seconds, Captain Crunch and his crew?
I'm glad to know the two of you are safe. Mistakes occur and we usually learn from them. Life is an incredible learning curve you won't soon forget. 😊
I hope you heal quickly, both emotionally and physically. xoxoxo
Cooking spray can also ward off a dog attack... not tried a person but worth keeping on hand.
No offense but would you please erase? Subway issue. Bad people learn things too.
@@LV-wl7ch If bad people use methods that don't cause permanent damage, isn't that better than knives or guns? Help me understand...xo
sailing life can be tough but you both got through it admirably, i first watched when you rescued coconut and binge watched all your videos before and since. glad this hasn't dampened your spirits, snuggles for coconut 😻🐈
I agree 1000%
Glad you guys are all OK. I would never criticize anyone for defending themselves, you did very well under the circumstances. Keep safe and all the best.
What exactly did they defend themselves from? There was no description whatsoever of the "attack."
And thats the exact reason why alot of people think this is staged, viral video = more subs. I dont buy it.
@@Trez1238you don’t buy what?
You did an awesome job contending with this all!! Your thoughtfulness for the locals effected by this incident is noted and very kind. 🙏🙏
Watch what? There was nothing
How they never had any physcial contact? This has to be fake.
@@redux467 I think lots of pirates don't want extra troubles so as soon as they noticed any resistance they chose to pass than board. Not to mention lots of times the pirates will only board to steal what you left outside like dingy engine, etc. Assuming you lock the companion way in time...
I must have missed that bit
@@Septix You’re thinking wrong, most pirates have Aks, they’re known for being ruthless not scared of an unarmed man and woman with an expensive rig they could steal and hold them hostage for ransom.
Watch the first video they posted a week ago talking about it this is just a more indepth explanation
I hope you both have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thanks
You went from pirate attack to talking about your sails arrangement?Like a journalist investigating a bank robbery
- and talking about the price of ice cream price.
You seem exactly like richardp; same sentence structure, same illogical statements, same irrelevant questioning, and the same type of leading statements...
Thank you
This region is known for pirates. One should take precautions or avoid traveling there.
I know!! I feel like I wasted an hour of my time watching this garbage !
This post speaks truth. SPILL THE DAMN TEA.
Thank you for reviewing this very scary moment and thank God you are ok!
🇨🇦 amazing !!! And love how you basically feel 'one bad apple doesn't reflect on the rest of them'. Fair winds are wished for you as you sail further along ⛵
I can tell you're Canadian. The correct saying is One bad apple will ruin the rest!
💚 The only difference now is we are all now very afraid of "bad-ass" Darcy that neutralises Pirates with his bare fists 🙂😜. thx for your free-to-watch content, appreciate it.
on the previous video I didnt doubt them. But this doesn't really show any more than what that one did.
@@CuriousHumbleMarie where's the "Pirate attack video" ?
@@BrianHallmondit occurred in the blackout of the night. Did you miss it? What’s wrong with you?
We are built to flight, fight, or freeze and even trained people sometimes do the exact opposite of what they are trained to do. Anyone whom says different has lived a very blessed life.
Thanks for posting this. So glad you made it through without more serious injuries or worse. Happy New Year from Wasaga Beach 🇨🇦 🍁 Canada and Happy Sailing!
Glad your both ok and can't wait to see Coconut again
I think you guys reacted perfectly. Great team work and survival instincts. Thank god you’re ok.
I'm glad you're both safe, love your vibes!
Appreciate your openness about what you felt you could do better.
Very helpful honest description.
Thank you.
Great job!
Great episode! Glad you are both are ok. Thanks for talking this out and sharing this experience! 👏👏👏
I am happy to know you are ok. I just started following your channel and I appreciate all the time and effort you put into it.
Damn that's a lot of codes to have to memorize and then remember clearly In the Heat of the Moment
Love you’re channel, please continue to enjoy your life, routing for you both, keep going
Xx
I'm sure they're loving the views this fake story is providing them.
Same here!
As terrifying and potentially traumatizing this experience was for you guys, at the very least this is a crazy story to tell the grandkids
I know! Crazy tier dad lore! 🤣
You are both fast tracking sailing experiences. Another lesson learned- and you both responded well.
I am SO glad you are safe!
Under the circumstances you did really good. The what ifs? Would be driving me crazy. The hugs at the end are what really matters.
Thank you both for your in-lightening yet gracious way of describing a life changing experience…….well done!
Your reaction what excellent and your explanation of the events was well prepared. Now you have to put this event behind you and your keep this as one of life’s stories that ended well for both of you. Grow from it and dont let it slow you down.
I’m so glad you guys are safe you did a great job in a scary situation keep your chin up and keep making great content and we will all keep watching ❤
You don't need to be answering questions about why you were inside. Some people in the comments are couch sailors.
I’ve done thousands of miles so can I ask why she was inside making UA-cam videos? It’s against the law not to keep a proper lookout. It wasn’t just a cup of tea, she was making UA-cam footage.
@ no you can’t James.
@@Steve-qn8gn It’s the truth. If you don’t like it, that’s not my problem
I really hope you two are all right and won't have much PTSD. So sorry :(
I am very moved by this video.
Happy Holidays, happy sailing & Happy New Year’s to you both. 🎉🎉🙏👍😺🎄☃️🌊

My first introduction to you guys. Great job and I can’t wait to see more of your journeys ⛵️
You guys did an amazing job protecting yourselves and the boat!
Merry Christmas to you both. Just stumbled on your channel and am subbing. You both kept calm and did what needed to be done. Hats off to you both-most would have been a mess.
