Great detail on explaining how the air gap works and where the possible source of leak could happen.

Can someone please tell me what that metal piece is called? Or how I could replace this part??
It’s not in the parts manual and GE said they can’t help unless it’s in the manual.
Mine has cracks in the side of the little metal piece so even with a new oring it’s still leaking!
It’s thay metal part with 2 black tubes (one end goes to the drain and the other grows to the filter). I’m happy to replace the part (both lines with the metal piece) but I don’t know how to find it… any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for watching Kayla, that may be a tough part to find. The manufacturer will usually not sell that part as they would rather send you a new faucet with all new parts.
We recommend checking eBay periodically, we checked a moment ago & didn’t come across anything. Please keep us posted.

Thanks for watching, the best thing to do is do a google search. If your RO is the exact same as this one, it’s a 2012 model & purchased from Home Depot.
There are several 3rd party online plumbing websites that you can find parts from. Definitely keep us posted.
