wthomasw2 so you're saying it needs a built in hose system to keep the rear tires wet throughout the duration of the burnout, a kill switch for when the engine temp exceeds 120F and a 3000 rpm rev limiter then?
thats just it we Ozzys want the yanks to start building crazy burnout cars, we can have a world championship of burnouts every year, that would be epic
Mike Dale .... buddy our Summernats has been going for over 2 decades and our burnout comps have been the shit ever since... the kiwis are dam good too, but yanks are a LONG way behind.... pick ya game up lol
Lost Pants considering I’ve spent a bit of time in the country mate I still have no idea where these guys are hiding. And tell me, which state do you hail from?
fozpringle1 because of all the “hoons” as the news calls us tyres are getting harder to get well they’re getting more expensive because of some people doing skids on the street
I think its just more down to tyre sizes that cars come with now. Most cars probably run an 17in wheel at the smallest with chunky tread not with thin walls
OLD GUY RACING is that actually the case? I mean, where there’s demand, there should also be supply? But if you really need more tires in Australia, I guess I should start shipping you boatloads :D
Sydney boy here. That alternator everyone was mentioning? Thats the magneto he was mentioning, isnt it. Also this car is famous and this guy is crazy, even by our standards.
Altenator is driven off the driveshaft as theres physically no room for it in the bay. Also if you look at the cowl below the windscreen you can see the magneto there. Basically a high curent high voltage ignition coil/distributor in one.
basically does the speed of a 7 second drag car crossing the line, doing it almost stationary. in the process making wild fire amounts of smoke , drinking about 1 liter/.26 gallons of alcohol every second , destroying two tires and grinding rims, sending 200mph rubber shrapnel into any unsuspecting sod, I want one!!!
Dan, I mean, I'm sure I'm not the first to say this, but after seeing all these Aussie tire shredders, you all need to build one. I mean, you kind of have to do something insane, not to beat the Aussie's, but to at least be in the same league. Who knows, if you take it to events and shred, maybe it will take off in the US? (edit: lol, I swear I posted this before you all talked about it.)
@Darian Murcott-Istead haha very true. It's funny seeing all the American youtubers fussing over JDM goodies like old school corollas, Cresidas, Laurels etc, but yet as kiwi kids we grow up learning to drive in them and go on to mod them and customize them as we grow up.
Doesn't strike me as the type of fellow that would gravitate towards hearing protection. Especially at least when he was younger and wilder, since most people mellow with age. And he's still wilder than most young people.
Merrill, Michigan had a sick burnout contest for 3 years at the annual “farm fest”, they were held in the empty parking lot next to the fire station. After three years we raised enough money to build a new fire station...right on the concrete slab where the burnouts were held...three years later and there isn’t even a farm fest. Badass rides kept us coming together. Got rid of it and the foundation of Badass car owners went elsewhere. Those summers were the best I remember and I will cherish those memories until I can no longer waste a set of tires on my 2wd pick up.
I am surprised that no mention was made of that unique setup driving that alternator under the passenger seat. There is a large drive belt at the front of the driveshaft running over to it. Did anyone else notice this? I want to know about this.
Its a design that is pretty common in race cars and some speedway cars due to confined space normally but can be also because some driveline speeds are less than engine rpm and which no size pulley would be able to reduce the ratio and on circuit cars it helps with weight distribution.
I know some people probably have seen it but honestly one of the wildest parts that wasn't hit on in the video to me was the fact the alternator is under the car and powered by basically a supercharger pulley and belt coming off of the tail shaft of the transmission!
My dad had a ‘79 Corolla with a 4 speed stick, it was so underestimated and under rated, but it kept the tires lit through 4th. I outran mustangs, cops & eventually lost my license because of the bullshit I pulled in it. Of all the pissed off hot rods I’ve built and driven, I got in the more trouble in my dad‘s little Corolla. It’s so cool to see these guys raise hell in one.
Coming from cali and seeing the car scene from jdm and usdm and muscle, I went to new zealand and Australia for vacation these guys are way ahead of us lol trust went to a car meet seen a r32gtr guy was pushing 600hp daily driver
after further review (pausing frame by frame cause these guys hold a camera with hands shaking like they're about to touch their first boob. yes clearly an alternator.
i love the channel and the content you guys make, but i keep coming back to the aussie burnout videos. these guys are completely crazy, you need to bring them on again as soon as possible!
The real question is, Why you dont have already started a project like this? Its about time that hoonigan start to do grown men burnouts! Ps: i would use ken's Ford escort
That’s absolutely insane.... goose bumps! That thing rips! Frame, smaller the better, see if you can track down a Holden Gemini TE chasis. Something shortbase... this whole project is about tyre smoke.
What chassis would you use to build your own burnout car?
ford probe
Datsun 510 - Dream Car!!!
TheHoonigans it depends on my budget and how crazy I would go by the love bad daddy brad hert and danger dan
FC RX-7 , with a big chunky 9" rear end of course
Mk1 escort
The rubber flying out the hanger door, thats a Hoonigan first! Be sure to save that clip for the best off at the end of the year!
Alec Fleming hoonigan first but Aussie standard ;)
Thaaaaat was the sickkkkkest burnoutttt! 🤘😎🤘 Oy Oy Oy!!!
Definitely build one. We need a proper burnout car from the states.
Jacob Weed Burnout only but gotta add American touches
Build it.
You'll need an Aussie to build it for you...
wthomasw2 so you're saying it needs a built in hose system to keep the rear tires wet throughout the duration of the burnout, a kill switch for when the engine temp exceeds 120F and a 3000 rpm rev limiter then?
It will never be proper from the states unless you mean the aussie states Queensland
When you smoke out a warehouse and make an entire crew wear ear and respiratory protection, you don't need to wrap it. You win.
Yeah but that dude would have wrapped it better than anyone
I was waiting for a Wayne and Garth meets Alice Cooper moment "We're not worthy" lol
Proof that you never let a crazy Australian with a burnout car loose in your shop. Lolz!
DUDE THE AUSSIES ARE THE REAL SHRED KINGS
For now
thats just it we Ozzys want the yanks to start building crazy burnout cars, we can have a world championship of burnouts every year, that would be epic
Ron yeah they should make it an olympic sport and formula burnout
Mike Dale .... buddy our Summernats has been going for over 2 decades and our burnout comps have been the shit ever since... the kiwis are dam good too, but yanks are a LONG way behind.... pick ya game up lol
Major Chaos lol yeah
I'm an Aussie, there''s lots of characters like this guy in Australia. Mad Bastards.
Patrick Archibald I’m a fellow Aussie and I’d disagree. He’s a rare breed indeed.
@@2005blackpearl mostly exsist over in qld and im in wa, many stuck in a time warp haha
Uinsean Obriain I live in WA and yeah there’s a few of them but I don’t know many who would put those kinds of resources into burnout cars.
Shaun you've obviously never been to a Summernats. There's 1000s of these crazy cunts.
Lost Pants considering I’ve spent a bit of time in the country mate I still have no idea where these guys are hiding. And tell me, which state do you hail from?
"Tyres are gettin hard to get in Australia" im not suprised dude 😂😂😂
fozpringle1 because of all the “hoons” as the news calls us tyres are getting harder to get well they’re getting more expensive because of some people doing skids on the street
I think its just more down to tyre sizes that cars come with now. Most cars probably run an 17in wheel at the smallest with chunky tread not with thin walls
ryver4lyfe gaming so they tax tires more?
The go a pair of tires every 90 seconds! Thats why there getting hard to find.
OLD GUY RACING is that actually the case? I mean, where there’s demand, there should also be supply? But if you really need more tires in Australia, I guess I should start shipping you boatloads :D
Been waiting to see this build since the Aussies smoked out the donut garage lot in les then 5 seconds
Took 1 episode for the burnout Aussies to be living legends worldwide 🔥
Hodenkobold They already where unless you live under a rock
3 seconds actually.lol
Omg that shot from outside just watching chunks of tire get thrown from the shop 👍👐💪👌🤘
13:01 i love the thought that there are tire shortages in Australia due to everybody constantly doing burnouts
That motor has a Corolla attached to it lol
"shes ugly unda there mate shes uglier than a 2 dolla hooka" i love this guy
WarriorPaxo that was my favorite part of the whole breakdown
It’s a V8-powered smoke machine!
The best kind of smoke machine.
Hadn’t seen concrete in the back of a car since my fathers old Holden lol.
ULEGAL is Craaazy.
Concrete in the back is wild. So rad.
Soo, what’s the Ute doing? Any plans? 😏.
@@TheHoonigans so rad.....you must of been living in Australia in the 80s.on ya mate.
"its called maitenence" lol best roast ever to noobs in the auto world
FAX
don't tell Scotto he'll get self conscious xD
guy on the bike at the end trying to get some XD
he rode up thinking 'wtf is going on in there?'
Build the Rolls Royce into a burnout machine on the next knuckle busters....i would give my first born to see that plus it something different
Do this @TheHoonigans , it's the right choice.
Alternatively railcar has the right wheel width..
A Rolls with a fat blower. I could see that.
You sir just spoke my dirtiest dreams.
oh man thats EXACTLY the type of build the royce needs. we just gotta give it a good name.
Ohhhhhhh myyyyyyy gooooooddddd!!!! I gave up. I thought this episode was never coming out. It's finally here!!!
We aim to please.
Been waiting for this Biology since Lynchy thrashed the yard. Such a badass Corolla.
Total beast.
The most impressive part was seeing bad daddy braddy completely shell shocked. I didn't think it was possible.
Basically a high curent high voltage ignition coil/distributor in one.
crazy but a bloody legend
The Ute is the perfect build for a proper Aussie burnout car
El Camino yeah baby
Or an Ls swapped Ford Ranchero... now that's aussie American style
No it aint...
john moser I smell shit burnout cars and gay men...
You would have to add ballast weight on the back. I'm guessing thick wheel well armor might not be enough.
The Aussies are too crazy even for Hoonigan, Bad Daddy Brad left the car almost crying from the smoke 😂😂😂
I mean he did say it was meth injected i think, so yeah it's gonna fuck up your eyes
The dude on the bike on the other side of the fence tryna peak through lol
SnickleFrits Pickle “Wtf is going on I gotta put my bike down for this.”
Yeah yeah noticed old mate on the push bike trying to get a look through the fence to see what’s going on.
he would be thinking i dont know whats going on in there but i want to be apart of it.
"We've had enough fires"
Yeah, oof
I've never had this much satisfaction before! EVER! Thanks for sharing and as always Keep Building👍
Ummm.....you don't need to tell them to keep building...that's just what they do..
It's basically a big engine stand! I love it ,smash as set!!!
Basically!
basically does the speed of a 7 second drag car crossing the line, doing it almost stationary. in the process making wild fire amounts of smoke , drinking about 1 liter/.26 gallons of alcohol every second , destroying two tires and grinding rims, sending 200mph rubber shrapnel into any unsuspecting sod, I want one!!!

If anyone's curious, 330kmh wheel speed is 205mph.
Ridiculous.
Thats Aus and NZ for ya! JDM goodies, big power, right hand drive and KILOMETERS! haha
@@Synthetic-Chicken Plus Aussie and New Zealand measure in real horsepower. 630-650hp equates to 750hp American 😂😂
We measure in kilowatts lol

Every one was running from the smoke and had respirators on and dude was just basking in the smoke and fumes he is a beast
@bitterman co well hang inmate, these hoonigan boys come from California, they have had worse
@bitterman co Is your name ment to be ironic 😅
@bitterman co ok mum
@bitterman co yo, I'm Aussie too mate. Happy New Year 🤙
cause the corolla is meth injected i think, that aussie is just fuckin built different he's used to the smoke burning his eyes and shit
uhh..... I bet the state of California really loves you guys.
So that dude had to be in Road Warrior or something. Did his scenes and kept on driving. Even kept the haircut.
LOOOOL PMSL
@Kevin Hibbard COTY right fucken here ^
Loving this new upload time. Perfect with my lunch break.
👊👊👊
The Guy on the bicycle at 16:00 mins trying to figure out wtf is going on, now that's classic!!
16:08 the bits of rubber literally come flying out the shop. What a mighty shot. Artistry and damn craftsmanship. Super happy Build biology is back!
Appreciating the Aussie's bringing their machines over. Cool stuff.
It's cool to see Australian cars they're never really showed off. Also what happened to the ute?
I wonder if that dude has tinnitus at all.
At this point? Probably.
WHAT?
Doesn't strike me as the type of fellow that would gravitate towards hearing protection. Especially at least when he was younger and wilder, since most people mellow with age. And he's still wilder than most young people.
sirgallium Australians don’t mellow regardless of age 🤷🏼♀️
Is anyone gonna answer that goddamn phone?!?!
We love you Mick!!! Thanks for the vid guys Aussie Aussie Aussie oi oi oi
Dear fellow Americans, I say we need burnout comps! Bring it to the USA! Lets build em!

Check out Powercruise. Started in Au and they brought a couple here stateside
Thanks for finally giving us Americans some Aussie Burnout goodness!
I am surprised that no mention was made of that unique setup driving that alternator under the passenger seat. There is a large drive belt at the front of the driveshaft running over to it. Did anyone else notice this? I want to know about this.
I saw that, probably doesn't fit in the engine bay.
Its a design that is pretty common in race cars and some speedway cars due to confined space normally but can be also because some driveline speeds are less than engine rpm and which no size pulley would be able to reduce the ratio and on circuit cars it helps with weight distribution.
On top of all of that it’s only 90 seconds of fun. Hell put it on the battery chargers
Been telling fools for 20 years; the Australians Been going Super Hard!! Respect Due y'all!!! ✊
America: Drag Blunts and Drag Races and Drag Tires
Japan: Smoke the cherry mountains
Australia: *HOLD MY BEER!!!*
I dont think we would ask that, WE WOULD GET PISSED WHILE DOING IT
I love that. He says we gawk at them, and he’s like yeah we gawk at you guys for not doing what we do. 😂
Big respect he did it for the culture
i think an "1978 AMC Gremlin" would make great burnout car. thanks for the video guy and big love from london. :)
Glane the pre 75 ones look better
I know some people probably have seen it but honestly one of the wildest parts that wasn't hit on in the video to me was the fact the alternator is under the car and powered by basically a supercharger pulley and belt coming off of the tail shaft of the transmission!
I've seen some racecars with that setup. It makes the engine bay look cleaner and it's easier to put a bigger motor in a smaller place
love this guys personality. bring him back please!
I love the drone shot showing all the rubber being scattered across the yard. It almost got hit a few times!
Three words. O m g!!!!!! I need one of those.
You need a crazy australian? Id force mine to build cars..
Thats 3 letters
Hoonigans go to Australia and build a burnout car with mighty car mods
Nah wrong people for that
Skid factory would be the crew for that.
lol @MCM. Come to the Street Machine and Carnage boys
Adrian True 😮 that would be epic.
lol MCM are noobs
you BETTER build one like right fn now!!
great to see all the love and no haters for our good old aussie burnout cars. cant wait to see and im sure it will get big in america.
I like the honesty of aussies...doesn't talk his car up or down...tells it the way it is and why then shows what he can do...
This guy is like the final boss
Cleetus Mcfarland is going to have a Aussie Style Burnouts at one of his events this fall
Cletus drove THIS car at Summernats last year
Tommy Amann wrong car mate.. Cleetus drove “Thelma” it’s a white 4 door 1976 corolla..
Nic Hugo thanks for clearing that up. I knew it was a gnasty white Corolla. Being there in person is on my bucketlist
This new time actually is helping my sleep schedule lol thanks Hoonigans
Get that sleep!
Mike you are the man, simple and straightforward ........ Loved your car and performance
The rubber flying out of the shop was the most glorious thing we’ve seen all year. BRAVO AUSSIES we have much to learn from you
I don't understand why Hoonigan hasn't built one yet.
This is a study break...
Haha I learnt to drive in a 74 Toyota Corolla! Aus and NZ Have A LOT of JDM goodies, all right hand drive too.
The Wizard of OZ!! Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain of smoke!!!
This guy should host a show. He talks well and all that knowledge.. cool guy.
Yes you guys should really build a hoonigan burnout car that would be so cool
That's one heck of a beast
concrete ass, tire shredding, rim grinding, alcohol guzzling, rubber shrapnel sending .. beast
“Far from good, good from far” haha that was good
which is more Bad Assed- the Aussie himself-or his ride. Damn.....Wang Factor!! 🤔
Wank factor not Wang what does Wang factor even mean ?
This is seriously the weirdest comment and replies on UA-cam ever.

Top bloke, really knows his stuff and it shows
Privileged to see under a different type of tuner. Thank you for bringing this to us Hoon.
And thank you for gracing our tubes!
Please oh please turn the Ute into BURNOUT SMOKE MACHINE.

Brad had tears of joy! So wonderful
I love the videos of the Australians keep doing what y'all guys are doing it's freaking awesome
No comment on the driveshaft driven alternator?
was that the alt? didn't see one up front, that belt is pretty serious for an alternator.
Interesting
signl sirchir
Thats a pretty serious engine lol
after further review (pausing frame by frame cause these guys hold a camera with hands shaking like they're about to touch their first boob. yes clearly an alternator.
might be because it's a pretty standard race car thing, less parasitic drag to have it on the driveshaft
Thankgod there's a more in depth look at this savagery lol
oh savagery is for more interesting when looked at in depth
Real in depth, like mentioning what was driven off the propshaft near the trans, Glad ya'll showed what ya did.
Absolute MADNESS!
