- Happy Canada Day fellow Canadians! Welcome back to my channel and online 1/64 scale diecast museum. In this video, the first video in a new series I will be uploading on a regular basis, we go hunting for a MYSTERY BOX full of awesome diecast collectible vehicles that have been in storage for a long time here in the basement. With over 60,000 cars and trucks in my collection, most never see the light of day, and many have been packed away for years, just as is the case with today's Mystery Box - featuring a wide variety of Hot Wheels RLC, Neo Classics, mail-away, and Mystery Cars featuring premium paint jobs, rubber Real Riders tires, and exclusive packaging from Hot Wheels Collectors Club. Most of these items cost a fair penny when first sold to collectors, and now are worth hundreds of dollars in many cases. Join me as I take a deep dive into the history of these toys, there approximate value on the secondary markets, and a close up look at all of the sweet details Mattel put into there premium line collection. Enjoy a candid look at my diecast museum, thoughts on unscrupulous selling practices, some foul language, and a chance to weigh in on the content of my future video production! Thanks very much for stopping by, I hope you like my video and consider subscribing to be notified of upcoming stuff!

Good to see you are back. No horrible background music and lots of detailed info! Thank you
WOW nice cars 🚗 and trucks. 🚚
Good to have you back
I enjoy the video. I do like the Mystery box and it would be nice to see race track setup. Thank you for sharing this video. Stay cool and safe.
Great to see you back dude! I'm super looking forward to this series. Much love from a fellow canuck collector.
Another AWESOME video. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your uploads & knowledge on the cars.
love a good mystery box, especially vintage stuff
Creative or no creative is always worth it to see your displays, recalls, backyard, mistery boxes, and of course what's going on with your lovely cat (Nina(?))....:)) Regards...
Thank you! Nina will make her appearance again soon :)
What happens is you buy 2 items from the same seller. They charge you 2 individual shipping costs which are high. Then they ship it in the same box
And they proceed to pocket the rest of the money. Not sure what this comment's point is.
@@MrWolfSnack the guy is talking about the high cost of eBay shipping. I just mentioned another thing that eBay does to grab more money from you. Understand?
That green Datsun 510 is the first car with Neo Classic Wheels with RealRiders that car is special in a way. Great Video 💪
Preachhhh about the eBay thing
I'd love to see what, if any, Fast Fortress cars you have. That's one of my favorite castings!
That is very cool
I believe the 50th Anniversary 510 Red Line club car was the first with the Real Rider Neo-Classic wheels.
That was an excellent mystery box, some very nice pieces in it. I enjoyed the show, there hasn't been one that I didn't enjoy brother.
Thanks for watching and I am very happy to hear you are enjoying my shows! Happy hunting Brother!
Yeah, RLC is still like that. BTW, JTC collectables does free shipping if you buy 5 or 6 items (don't quote me on that amount) , plus they're good guys and will respond to your questions right away. A couple items were backordered last time I ordered from them so they totally comped me a Boulevard #25 Moon Eyes VW Drag Bus, and had the missing items shipped to me in just over a week.
Super Cool stuff. i think you have too many boxes 🤣🤣🤣✌
The super special edition 83 Chevy Silverado looks like it'd done in The Fall Guy truck (The original series NOT the new movie). I remember joining the Hot Wheels club back in the day and at that time the car you got was The Boss Hoss Silver Special.
Cool to see you F'N back brother! 😆
....I hear ya shipping is so stupid now nothing like it once was .
Digging though your own stuff is smart ..as I'm kinda a same way ...open a box an I'm ....Whoa totally forgot I own that .almost like seeing it first time again .
Or not even remember buying at all .
We all just can't display it all can we.
Actually took a break from new stuff ..kinda ..unless you find coolness out there .
So took a break ...still flea market on weekends if weather doesn't ruin it .
An yeah did the smart thing an jumped into the more expensive hobby an did some LEGO.🙄
.....I became a bit hooked on mini figures im not a addict i swear .
It all started by finding a big bunch at the flea market lol.
Great stuff as always.
I get where your coming from on postage prices, you have tons of interesting stuff that I would love to see, the HW Classics are my vote, I have a lot of them, but there were so many, not many collectors have them all. I have never joined RLC, but I do keep an eye on what comes out, I have never seen the need to join, as there are not enough cars made by them, that I really want, to justify the joining fee. The two I have bought on the secondary market, are the De Temaso chrome and the Chevy tradesman van. In my opinion the tradesman van, is the best 1:64 van ever made, but the R/C vans with the opening back doors, are also something I collect, if you have any of those, I would like to see them, as I love van. I have two M2 G10 vans on hold for me at the moment, I cant wait to see them in person. I dont buy much either these days, just one online store I use and the toy shops/supermarkets. I do have around 20 other RLC cars, but I bought them a few years ago, when prices and shipping were a lot lower.
Hi Canada man great diecast video and as collectors I'm sending full peg vibes to you tak care Canada man!
In regards to videos we'd like to see, I remember you had a bunch of old stop motions that are missing and would love to see those again.
Stay tuned for a mystery box comming from ronald the final box be sure to have your yatming cars and transport trucks ready to be in this awesome video
Amazing and awesome! I will have all on the ready!
Great stuff as always. I think it’s cool if you take us for a walk through the diecast museum and pick a box with all of us. But do whatever works best for you.
That's a great idea! I shall do that for each video in this series. Thank you for weighing in on the ideas!!
@@wtffor I agree with the idea, it will make a good stop-gap until you can figure out a plan for your new carded car videos. Maybe have your guy at Orillia Diecast act as a broker and give him a list of what you're looking for or the links to the eBay auctions and he can order and import them for you and you pay him a commission/finder's fee/shipping/etc. I'm sure he can bundle orders no problem with his day to day store shipments. That issue with eBay is their new payment rules, they no longer allow combined shipping due to them wanting immediate payment on everything to prevent scammers. And a lot of sellers are trying to cheat the new $600 tax rule too.
all the best from romania

There is a hot wheels diecast show at the 400 flea market Sunday July 7th hope you all can make it. That goes for you to Owen.
Costs $4 per hotwheel here in New Zealand you guys dont know how good u have it
sooo.. matchbox year by year? ive been waiting years for that series!
Im a new subscriber. Wicked nice collection. When does the museum/open house open to the public? LOL
Hey you’re back! What’s up man!
Great vid like always
My suggestions on vids are do anything you like I watch it
Diorama vids sam salvage yard
Car meet and more mystery box vids
The matchbox year by year you said you were going to do ages ago
Plus do a vid on your top 100 cars in your collection plus a vid on the rarest diecast you have
Thanks for the great ideas, Pete!
I hear you about price gauging and the postage in the US is ridiculous now but its mainly due to Evilbay using their own postage services which won't allow sellers to combine postage was also known as International Shipping Program so that's probably why the diecast business as drop lots in the last 18 month I use to import 300 plus boxes per year but only about 35 in the last year now, that Chevell is better than most STH I reckon but people worry too much about chase cars or STH and anything in between that they can gauge you for lol, love your vids m8!
I can tell you with 100% definite answer the $600 tax limit is what killed eBay through and through. The fees have killed it off for the past 15 years. But the tax reporting rules have destroyed it.
Would love to see you do some peg hunting I think would make great content and review.
The pegs are so bare here in my area, although I may do a video at the Orillia Diecast store, that has long been an idea... Thanks for the suggestion!
Finally
MANTAP👍👍👍
F*cking Awesome O 😉 👏
I still find people who combine shipping but i always make sure first before buying. Im in the usa though so it might be easier than shipping to canada
Canada has extra import duties and taxes that need to be paid which cant be done with the new eBay checkout.
It’s still hard to get RLC’s hit and miss.
i think a cool video series would be to go back to your red lines cars 74.to 78 . you listed a price on all those cars . now do one with todays values . 7 years later .
Excellent idea!
Hi
Quit RLC ... felt like a store opening with a bunch of runners. Expensive too.
I've never been in RLC, i just get the cars on eBay when they depreciate in value to $20 a pop or less.
@@MrWolfSnack excellent strategy.
Thanks for sharing, what are the names of the cases on you wall for your hotwheels? Do you have a model number?
Plano 5324
Got to ask what car was you tuning up for summer 😀
Also with the amount of hotwheels you have do you insure them 🤔
Awsome collection you have 👍
I was tuning up my 1985 Pontiac Bonneville, my dad and I had to clean up the carburetor and replaced some vacuum hoses and now it's running great!
I don't bother insuring my collection, I just make sure the house is good and safe and save the money for more cars and not putting my cash into giant corporations pockets. In the event of a disastrous loss of all the items, I would stop collecting and move on with my life.
@@wtffor
Sounds like a great car you have 😀
I live in the UK
Cars over here are not so great unless its the 70s fords or old mercs .
I don’t like to feed the giant corporations as well .
I was looking at your collection and thought to myself it must be worth a tidy fortune .
I collect and when i sell my Collection i plan to buy my dream car .
Although I am very attached my hot wheels 😂😂
& I thought I was mad.
How close are you from the border? Get a PO box and let it build up and take trips to it lol
Nearest US border town to him would be Youngstown, NY. A 160 mile trip. Not a easy task.
Do you have any oil can hot wheels??
No I do not, unfortunately
@@wtffor I bought 13 from morrisburgh flea market a few years ago for 5.00 a piece...eBay is asking 50.00 to 100.00 a piece ...there was even 1 for over 600.00 think it was a Ferrari
I like your car toys red and black
I LIKE YOUR CAR TOYS RED AND GREEN, BLACK
Awesome stuff, Owen! Glad you're back. I sent you an email to the address in your profile. Just wanted to make sure you got it. It's about some new diecast stuff I think you'll like.
I found your email, but the link to your video wouldn't work for some reason. I'm not sure what it is that is up for review, potentially... Any further info so I can look it up?
