If there’s one implement from one brand I associate the most with Midwestern ag and the corn belt, it’s the Glencoe Soil Saver. Nothing even comes close.

Those were great tractors. When I was a kid we had a 2-135 fwa and a 2-180 2wd. They traded for a 160 2wd and 185 fwa both had the 8.3 Cummins. Loved that sound. Later traded the 185 for a 170 workhorse. And added a 2-155 and a 120 2wd with the 5.9 Cummins. That 5.9 sure was snappy too. Great tractors

I remember talking to White engineer Dean Barker. He felt that proper care and use, the 100 series should go 10,000 hours before any major work would be needed. Simple yet effective. Great video, Jason.

The reason I don’t not mention engine horse power is because the sales brochures from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s only listed pto hp for marketing. From the 20’s to the 50’s belt hp and plow size were the marketing focus. It was only in the past 20 years that engine horse power became the focus on all tractors and not just 4wds. All of my modern tractor videos share engine horse power. Each video I makes is based on the original sales literatures specs and focus.
