Welcome to the extraordinary sound of Diana Ankudinova! Diana was only 18 years old when this performance took place during the 2021 season of a Russian vocal competition called the "ShowMaskGoOn". This cover of the Elvis Presley classic "I Can't Help Falling In Love" now belongs to Diana and it really demonstrates that Diana Ankudinova has a true contralto sound. A contralto is the lowest female voice type and is very rare. But it's not just how low you can go, it's in the quality of Diana's tone in her lower range, it's also in her timbre, the roundness, and the depth of her voice along with her resonance, further define Diana as a "dramatic contralto", the rarest of the rare contralto voice types. Diana is also a true polyphonic singer which in itself is also a very rare talent and it's defined as a vocal technique that creates two different tones at the same time which adds to her harmonic overtones that make it appear like two different voices at the same time. Welcome to the extraordinary sound of Diana Ankudinova! Diana was only 18 years old when this performance took place during the 2021 season of a Russian vocal competition called the "ShowMaskGoOn". This cover of the Elvis Presley classic "I Can't Help Falling In Love" now belongs to Diana and it really demonstrates that Diana Ankudinova has a true contralto sound. A contralto is the lowest female voice type and is very rare. But it's not just how low you can go, it's in the quality of Diana's tone in her lower range, it's also in her timbre, the roundness, and the depth of her voice along with her resonance, further define Diana as a "dramatic contralto", the rarest of the rare contralto voice types.
Diana is also a true polyphonic singer which in itself is also a very rare talent and it's defined as a vocal technique that creates two different tones at the same time which adds to her harmonic overtones that make it appear like two different voices at the same time. This polyphonic sound is why some people mistakenly think she is using autotune, a voice synthesizer, a vocoder or pitch correction software, or some other artificial form of voice manipulation to alter or adjust her sound. Others think there's another person singing off stage in the background, or she is singing over a pre-recorded vocal track, or she is lip syncing. There is nothing artificial going on at all that is manipulating Diana's voice in any way. What you hear is all Diana Ankudinova.
As you know, the majority of female singers usually don't reach their full vocal maturity until they are somewhere around 24 to 28 years of age and I am looking forward to what Diana will sound like when she reaches her full vocal maturity, and when she does with more years of voice training with her voice teacher plus more years to hone her on stage performance skills, there can be no doubt that Diana Ankudinova will be a wonder to behold on stage and a vocal force to be reckoned with.
Finally, this competition took place over nine days and the jury was a panel of professional singers that compete with and against each other and also judge each other. Diana Ankudinova is also a part of this jury and is judging the other singers and being judged by them. By the way, the judge on the top row that stands up first is the famous Russian opera singer Yusif Eyvazov that's an Azerbaijani tenor who is well known in Russia. The blond woman in the red dress that also stands and looks totally shocked at the end of Diana's performance and puts both hands on the top of her head knows she has to compete against Diana Ankudinova. And finally, Diana won this competition.

1. “Dusty Springfield” from the UK who passed away not long ago. Most people were not aware that she was the first to help bring the “Mowtown Sound” to the UK ( all the great individual and vocal groups that eventually became world famous.
She herself is not a Mowtown singer ( but a pop-soul singer and the songs I recommend you listen to has nothing to do with Mowtown. Here are the songs.

but unbeknownst to most music lovers it was the famous composer Bert Bacharach who wrote the song specifically for Dusty.
I recommend you listen to the 3 minute one posted by “Frans Janson” and not the 9 minute one posted by VeraCruz. It’s the same song but in the VeraCruz one they talk , then Bert gets on the piano and attempts to sing half-way through before the camera pans upward to Dusty.

But I would like to now introduce you to a vocalist who in my generation of the 1960s /70s had a unique recognizable voice that was quite mesmerizing.
Her name was Morgana king And she had a worldwide cult following and a Celestial heavenly angelic voice, When a song by her came over the radio, within the first 20 seconds you KNEW it was Morgana King and you stopped whatever you were doing to listen. If I may so bold as to suggest you listen to the following 4 songs that will silence your mind and open the floodgate of your heart. They were posted by a “ Morgana fan” with remarkable imagery which he added that enhanced the emotional impact!! You’ll love them.
