I just ordered 56 oz of green beans for tomorrow as my caseworker is sick and I had a horrible fall last night! I got some red potatoes the green beans I got some sausages to go with my fried cabbage. All simple things I can do myself because you don't have to peel red potatoes. :-) I have bacon grease and better than bouillon garlic I have everything to make these.

I rarely comment on YT but you deserve more than a thumbs up, a subscription and a share! You’re my new favorite cook! I Love your authenticity! You’re unpretentious and have a very likable personality! My husband brought to my attention yesterday that our stock of canned green beans would be expiring soon. (I always prefer fresh but keep cans as a backup) So I decided to search for a good recipe to use them. Like you, I’m not a fan of right outta the can! I’m making these tonight! Thanks for the video! Ok.. 5 things I ❤️ about her and her video. 1.) No ADS! Thank You! 2.) Normal family noise in the back ground. 3.)How she rubbed that little bit of bacon grease into her hands VS on a towel. I’d do the same thing. 4.) Her funny personality. 5.) That wonderful looking recipe which I’m definitely going to make. 😊 And yes, I’ve seen many people just dump a can of green beans into a pot, salt, butter and serve when hot. Squeaky rubber beans I call them.EW!

The reason why I am on this channel is......I do commercial HVAC, and yesterday while throwing dirty air filters in a dumpster, there was roughly 12 plastic bags filled with ALL KINDS of groceries. I checked out a few cans and some were 1 month past date and others had a couple of months to go.
I loaded all these bags into my work van with the intentions of dropping them off at a homeless shelter. I called around and found out they could NOT take any of it. What a disgrace.
All the cans were in truly prestrine condition. Anyway, I NOW have a dozen cans of green beans along with ALOT of other canned goods,as well as boxes of pasta, rice and so on. I HATE......
I DISPISE WASTING GOOD FOOD !
This truly angers me. We ALL know there are Wayyyyy too many people in this country going to bed starving and we are throwing away truly good, edible food away that is a little past the "use by" date. Again ,homeless shelters and churches were not interested. I guess I need to get cooking and your video is gonna help ALOT ! THANK YOU !

Becky could you edit your ingredient list and add amounts for the 6 lb can I get at Costco. Your video made the best green beans I have ever made. I only saw it on my Roku TV. I had to go look for it again the next time I wanted to cook and it didn't come up so I had to try my memory and that wasn't so good. HA! Thanks Marcia@stpeter5925

Thanks Marcia! I’m not real sure about the 6 pound can, I would do it to taste. The one thing I try to be most cautious of, is not getting them too salty (bouillon). With all the other ingredients, the amounts are to your liking…onions, garlic, bacon/grease…
