The title of the concert is just a selling point. The two greatest fusion bands in japan, getting together live! I have the DVD and throughout the hole concert you can clearly see that it's not a competition. These guys are so skilled on their instruments that they have a huge amount of energy left for joy and pure exitement. Jimbo was once asked why he smiled all the time. "it's so much fun to play drums" he answered. It's in a theater, but the audience is on their feet the entire time. Great!!
They released only 3 of the 30 or so albums they made to America and toured here briefly in early 90s to small crowds while rockin the rest of the world with fairly large audiences like this. Hard to find some of their older stuff but I got some from CDJapan...Just an awsome group!

This is fucking sick. One of the drummers keeps the beat and the rest of the band can keep a groove while the other drummer solos. A true drum solo.
For 2020 this is still amazing performance. Super skills and the sound works are amazing combining them together. Quality in every aspect!
