  • Polishing results aren't always what we want. Here are a couple of ways to keep on going to get what you want. Some rocks or fossils are not good candidates for the process, this we discover. Some rocks or fossils just need a little more time or a different process to look their best. The main thing is, keep trying. #rockhounding #fossils #polishing #petoskey

Tim I know how it goes when you want a shine on certain fossils and try everything with no good results. The floor polish did wonders 👍 I put epoxy on one and it shined very nice. I really like what you did. Thanks for sharing😊

Good rocks, great effort. I knew a gal in my 20's that would have loved the "too shiny" rock. She had three words of English - "Shiny" and "Five Dollas" but I digress. I live in TN and we see license plates from up north passing through and we guess at where they are going - now we know.

Yes, we pass through TN on our way to Florida, but we love TN too, especially the motorcycle trails, music, history, etc. Thanks for watching and also the comment.

I see you have some train videos. I worked for the Rock Island when I was in college and my father-in-law was an engineer on the Norfolk and Southern.

@@timtalksaboutrocks....most6644 Thanks for checking out the vids - I mostly do randomness, I hope to do more fishing vids soon. I see a train about every third walk to the post office so I film them. In my working career I did two short rail projects as part of industrial plants I designed and built and I designed some tank cars. Now I listen to engineers on the scanner talking about turkey hunting and whether or not the taco truck is in town when the stop at the siding. I am easily amused.
