After the asteroid belt you were on before, you go upwards onto the fondly remembered now dwarf planet, Pluto. The cold, freezing atmosphere is burning though surprisingly not as bad as you were expecting. Surprisingly, it seems like life thrived much more in the cold desolate lands of Pluto. There's plenty of small little cottages and towns strewn about, with plenty of towers to explore too. You look above and see the wormhole above you. Its absolutely beautiful, with the only way you could describe it is if the sky were to just ripped itself apart one day, with no plausible reason whatsoever. Looking into it makes you sentimental, however. You think about how far you've come, all of the towers which you've conquered, and how you're nearly at the end of it. It's truly a bittersweet feeling. As for the towers, most of them don't look too spectacular. However, one is tetrominoes, ones a big fun house, and one is a.. Mountain..? How curious. It even seems like one of these isn't finished being built yet. With cranes and the such holding it together by a thread. However you snap back into reality, as you refocus back onto your goals.
There seemed to be a pretty decent amount of hype surrounding this song, and now that I’ve heard it both in game and here I definitely understand why. This is the best song that has been created for JToH thus far in my opinion. For me it really helps create the feeling of “we’ve come so far, but now it’s almost over”, especially the bits from 1:16-2:00 and 4:04-4:47. The Zone 6 leitmotif is super sick too, hope we see more of that used in the themes for later zones. Great job CalicooKitten, looking forward to seeing what else you make for other areas.
@@marbles3220 I feel as if it's more a motif of either the wormhole or just general ruin in the spacial system. None of the zones pre - zone 6 had anything that could be considered a ruin, but zone 6 Is a ruin, and zone 8, with it's proximity to the wormhole and a source to a source of the mysterious arcane area crystals (as seen in ToDE and arcane area before it) could be next on the chopping block, especially due to the wormhole (zone 9) to whatever zone 10 is being in the sky right next to it, which could lead ruin to the civilisation there. My point of ruin is further exemplified with the fact that it does not appear in zone 7's music. But what if it's a lietmotief of the wormhole, not of ruin? Introducing a theory I have about ring 6's state of ruin: what if it was caused by the dripping amalgam (ToTDA), and the tower is just it's resting state, or what it became after the destruction of zone 6. Due to the dripping amalgam looking like nothing else in either the rings or zones, I theorise that, unless the wormhole was a very recent development in the spacial system, it may have came through there, particularly whenever it was first opened, potentially as a mistake by the opener of it, whom is presumably the void, the primary antagonist of the spacial system from the evidence provided by CoCE and CoPE, and how the plan appears to be a relatively long running thing (or at least planned long since in advance), as trapping 10 spirits in a pyramid and keeping them locked up for quite a while sounds like a rather hard task, as does raising funds for a galactic conquest with just grape juice and furniture (and maybe tophats if the void is, in reality, the low quality .gif of vendetta06 as seen in hit tower CoTaW). TLDR: lietmotief implies things for JToH lore and a shiny pokemon speculates about it for half hour in a text wall.
@@apg8200 I'll preface with the goal of a lietmotif, a lietmotif is a melodic phrase intended to become associated with a specific situation, character, or place by the listener. When you look at this phrase, what do you the player connect it to? Is it meant to represent you, the player's goal to meet the ensemble of spirits, is it meant to represent how lost in space you are? For that, I consider it to fail as a lietmotif.
@@imd. I guess that makes sense... I don't really feel any strong connection to the motif either, I just think it's cool that they incorporated it/referenced Zone 6.
I believe the leitmof was used to show that zone 8 is dying, following the same path as zone 6.... ie... becoming yet another space wreckage in the solar system.
The fact that the background part is so similar to zone 7 ost and the main melody is similar to zone 6 ost makes it even better and show us how far we’ve progressed through the zones. Can’t wait for zone 9’s!!!! (if there is)

In 2021, I have lived some of the most genuinely enjoyable moments I have ever had in my life before some deep, dark, rough events that occurred the same year that nearly broke me forever. As time passed by, I would only restrict myself to repress the horrible memories and think about how to accommodate myself to an environment about all the good times I had. The nostalgic vibes from the peaceful snowy atmosphere, the ruthless throwback to Zone 6, and the way that Pluto is organized by three layers largely describes the mental struggle I've been having ever since I had to deal with few yet frightening situations where people I heavily relied on ended up being people I never should have trusted in the first place. Instances where I have created grievous mistakes... Day by day, week by week, and months by months, the regrets that I feel whenever I look back to those trauma-inducing moments haunts me even to this day. Explaining my deep thoughts of the lobby would be challenging to explain in this single comment. However, I can simply state that taking time to look around the lobby helped me delve into some thoughts cautiously and has helped me know how I should look at life, properly grow as a person, and deal with the vulnerabilities that I encountered throughout my livelihood. In short, this zone will have a place in my heart; it describes the feelings deep inside of me with great enthusiasm. As the cold rises, so does the warmth...
