      「ああ…こんにちは。道に迷ってしまったのですか?」
The shrine maiden dressed in red and white was working at her shrine, obviously in the middle of something you just interrupted. She startles forward, stands straight up and looks at you dead in the eyes.
      「さあ、出口を教えてあげる。ついて来い…」
      "Nah, I'd win."
      「えっ? ごめんなさい、私は英語が話せません――」
She is cut off at the end of her sentence by the sudden explosive force generated from your legs as you begin your backwards long jump. She starts again, but realizes that you probably would be fine on your own as you vibrate on the ground intensely, building up speed and skipping like a rock across the dirt and sand path.
      「あなたは食用人間ですか?」
Along the way out, you find a little girl hovering in a strange pose who asks a peculiar question, but you ignore it as you are speedrunning your bug-ridden exit. You speed past her as she menacingly faces towards you, shouting strange sounds with her child mouth. Eventually, the vibrations of your body reach the speed of sound, producing a burst of air that people from even the farthest reaches of Gensokyo could hear. The strange girl backs away, astonished. All of the residents of this fantasy world now know your location and IP address, but it's not like they can go to your house. None of this matters to you. All you have to do is keep backwards long jumping until you break out, and before you know it, you're out.
The air is cold. The chill of the non-existent wind rushes down your skin like millions of hairs that feel like they're there but aren't. You look around you, but all that meets your eyes is nothing. Your sight is silent, and your hearing is dark. You are confused. You are a bit afraid. You went too far in your backwards long jump and popped out of bounds! But congratulations! You completed the challenge. You did your speedrun. You escaped Gensokyo. And now you're stuck here.

It depends. I agree that if you get alienated from the village to the point where they start fearing you or spread rumors around you, she might spare you because it's a somewhat natural process and doesn't necessarily imply intent.
Whats way more dangerous is the scenario of casting the abandon food spell. Since this is freely throwing away your humanity, you will probably make enemies with the human village and inspire special hatred in Reimu. (As far as I understand she draws the line at humans *wanting* to become Youkai, which she considers deeply unnatural)
Having Reimu be determined to exterminate you might be one of the more dangerous scenarios.
You only need to achieve some limited danmaku abilities to fend off weaker apparitions and you can learn to handle mid-tier and stronger beings, but if she's serious there's almost no way you're going to beat Reimu at any point below danmaku mastery, and if she's like that you will die if she beats you.
You can only survive Reimu if her hearts not in it, or if you've evaded her long enough that she maybe starts mellowing out on you.

      @hi-i-am-atan 3 місяці тому +12

@@marzipancutter8144 i feel like magicians aren't a concern like that, actually. after all, the core prerequisite that we know of is a spell of _abandon_ food, which means ... well, not needing to eat. which means you become a yokai that does not eat _humans,_ removing a lot of the risk in letting you do as you wish or even in terms of allowing you to stay in the village. you might definitely be casting aside your humanity, but it's in service of becoming a non-human existence that isn't actually all that distant from humanity. considering more yokai-like yokai very much visit and even sometimes live in the human village, i doubt a simple magic user that doesn't seem to age would be more than somewhat unusual around there, albeit you might end up being a bit unpopular with most of the population
and, hell, this is all on the assumption that you can even tell someone who has abandoned food from someone who hasn't. the unaging part of a yokai magician would make it obvious eventually, but that's _eventually_ - unless you managed to pull off the transformation as a kid, it could be literal decades before anyone notices that "aging gracefully" stops being a believable excuse. and even then, if you practice magic publicly, you might just be assumed that you're using said magic to maintain your appearance by the magically illiterate. if anything, the abandoning of food is perhaps _the_ part you'd actually have to be careful about, as should people start to notice that you rarely eat human food? well, they might just start suspecting you of subsisting on _human_ food, and suddenly whatever mysterious disappearances had occurred during your stay find themselves gaining a plausible explanation. which will likely lead to the villagers either running you out themselves, or calling on the local miko to investigate ... and then you likely still having to move out even if she doesn't think you're a concern, because rumors like that don't dissipate easily and continuing to live in the village would be living as a pariah
also, on the jinyo: while i doubt reimu is fond about the idea of humans becoming yokai, it's worth noting that the guy was only _technically_ not a vengeful spirit. he was still a resentful dude who resurrected into a yokai through the power of a _grudge,_ so even if he avoided becoming a vengeful spirit through "controlling his emotions" ... how long would that last, really? guy was walking a razor edge and became a yokai to _join the ranks of individuals he _*_saw as oppressors,_* dude prob had an aura of slimy malevolence that you could experience with all five senses. it makes the "ultimate sin" of humans becoming yokai feel more like a metaphor tossed at him than a hard rule; he saw humanity as something weak and exploited by the powerful yokai, so he used extreme, dangerous techniques to become powerful and exploit the weak. i dunno 'bout you, but to me? seems like that makes him a pretty significant threat to reimu's wish for peace between humans and yokai
hell, if you want to dive deeper into the subtext, the guy did all that and _thought reimu would agree and take his side._ frankly, i wouldn't blame her at all if she was originally planning on just running him out of the village to work out his issues away from the villagers, but then his goblygook was _such_ an insult that she no longer felt like giving him a chance

    • @marzipancutter8144

@@hi-i-am-atan Magicians aren't really yokai I think. Not only do you not eat humans, you also aren't bound by their fears or beliefs.
iirc becoming yokai happens if people are ostracised by society, become feared and have rumors spread about them. So it is a much more natural process that doesn't usually happen with the exileds volition.
Of course this could also happen to you after becoming a magician, but it could also be avoided.
But I think Reimu has way more principled beliefs against giving up your humanity of your own free will I think, and it is my interpretation that this is because she strongly cares about things following their natural order as the keeper of balance in Gensokyo.
She also has a terrifying intuition so she'd probably find out if and why you abandon your humanity. If you were to become a magician for the pure passion and love of the craft, that might be something different, but since we're being strategic here... let's say I'm not willing to bet my life on her lenience or ignorance. ig her reaction really comes down to your personality though.
But I have to say it is a funny thought trying to explain to her that you had to yeet humanity because you need to bed your favorite Monster Waifu.

I want to add some points:
    - Learning how spell card system works could be a huge step up in your survival as the rules in perfect memento in strict sense states that the opponent can't kill the human opponent when they lose, and no matter how powerful a youkai is in gensokyo they must adhere to the spell card rule, so you can have some chance even against someone like Yuuka. Just be skillful enough to put up some fight so whoever you fight can have some sense of excitement when they win.
    - Like in planescape torment, faith, or rather, belief is power in Gensokyo. If you could gaslight the population of Gensokyo you can do a certain thing e.g. fixing things that falls from outside world, you will eventually able to do that thing e.g. fixing things from outside world even if you have zero idea how it works. Be warned to not do this to upset the powers in Gensokyo or a certain shrine maiden will come visit you.
    - Follow up to above rule: Do not teach science to the human villagers. Belief is power in Gensokyo, and the more humans learn how the world actually works, the risk of them disbelieving things will be greater, as how yamabiko almost extinct when the rumor how sound echoes spreads in the village. If you disturb the primary source of faith for youkai, ALL the youkai will come for you, and the gap hag will kick you back to the outside world at best.

From what I remember, Rinnosuke remarks that Gensokyo uses currency, but it's just whatever drifts in from the outside world. What would drift in is likely yen since it's Japan, but only small amounts people have lost over small amounts of time.
You have to be around Gensokyo's barrier to enter, so even if you're a tourist, you should be carrying some yen on you.
We can assume these yen notes are more valuable than normal in Japan because not much yen would pass through the barrier.

I have a theory re: language fluency in Gensokyo:
Considering its origins as a sanctuary for youkai, it's evident that not all youkai that live there are Japanese in origin or background. If they're not allowed easy access to resources in the Human Village (or even with each other), they don't have an easy means of learning Japanese either -- extended lifespan or not.
Yukari would've likely accounted for this. She could easily do away with language barriers, as a measure of promoting diversity among supernatural beings.
Also, common sense doesn't apply in Gensokyo. That alone might allow for linguistic coherence. :P

Yeah surviving here is much easier than in Gensokyo, as fending for yourself is much more accessible (just commission Haiji) and there are more """"helpful"""" individuals that know English, and much more amicable youkai (debatable) but god bless you if you try to climb up the ladder: raising your Magic/Fighting and Money stats are WAY important than raising your knowledge level (as your average Mugenrian as dumb as you are, if not below that). And the only safe option is the human village of Mugenri, or Devangara if you're a law abiding citizen since you wouldn't want to get an audience with diabetes kid; though Youkai Shrine maybe a safe option depending on how looking forward they are for residents. I think the main rule is to be able to stand for yourself in the winner-take-all world and not get the attention of the wrong crowd (especially Suzumi/Tsurubami: the former will kill you, while the other will make you wish you were dead)

Plus, gotta add that flight is seemingly less common in mugenri, to the point where Jun is surprised to see a flying human.

This is a great video! Normally a lot of the responses I see to the question "Could you survive in Gensokyo?" are quite pessimistic, so to see a more realistic approach is amazing. Personally, an idea I thought of for any quick money-making strategies would be selling off any technology specifically to the kappa or the Moriya Shrine (probably the Moriya Shrine if I'm aiming to do it as fast as possible due to the aerial tramway and how easy getting to the shrine would be) as they'd probably want the resources and be able to use them better than I'd be able to use them.

The Lunar Capital might not be entirely out of the question... if one somehow manages to get a hold of the Ultramarine Orb Elixir to rid themselves of unwanted impurities (ignoring the potential side effects that consuming it could incur).
Even without that, there are a few instances of humans staying at the capital for a while (Reimu for roughly a month; the fisherman Uranoshimako for several years...), so the Lunarians might not be entirely closed to the idea under the right circumstances.
Matter of fact it, could even be a saving grace in the worst-case scenario where one gets stranded in Gensokyo *at night* and during a Full Moon, though it'd take a bit (a lot) of luck for them to get transported to the Lunar surface via the Moon's reflection on bodies of water.
Still, even the slight possibility that this could turn a hopeless run into a major success is pretty interesting I think. Being spirited away into Gensokyo is rare enough on its own so there's no harm in being hopeful; everything is based on probabilities, after all.
Besides, the worst that could happen on the Moon is being sent back to Earth since people up there dislike needless killing, making it a much safer place than most other locations in hindsight.
Let's be honest, between the Watatsukis' inability to kill an old fisherman and Sagume's unlikely savior of the firework festival in the Grimoire of Usami, I'm willing to bet most Lunarians (excluding Chang'e) are a bunch of softies who couldn't cope with the Earth's survival of the fittest nonsense and went on to build their perfect home in the Pure Land while still influencing the Earth's History from a safe distance, and maybe even aiding in times of dire need as Amatsukami. I'd much rather stumble into a silent yet sober Sagume than a drunken, irritated Reimu on a bad day because unlike the former, the latter doesn't particularly mind needless killing.
Labor, food, currency, resources, and even time would cease to be an issue given how advanced their civilization is, so it'd definitely be worth a shot.
One major drawback is that learning their language would likely impossible, which is a shame considering the invaluable knowledge that must lie within their books and scriptures.
Uranoshimako's journey to the Moon led to him becoming a Kami, so the possibilities truly are limitless in the end. Plus I'm really curious about the criticisms Lunarians have of our flawed human society. Their games of Shogi might be a lot of fun, too.

I remember how we used to discuss and fight over these things 10 years ago, wars were fought concerning interpretations of paragraphs of lore, it was a time of blood.
But watching this video was kinda fun, because it surely is a better presented and lighthearted version of those old debates. I feel one thing that must be emphasized is that, to survive and - perhaps more important than mere surviving - wanting to survive in Gensokyo is to learn to think like a person from a traditional society. Charles Taylor wrote a 900 page book about the difference between traditional and secular societies and, in my opinion, 97% of the people who survived the first week would be begging to return to the modern society, missing wifi, air conditioned and refrigerators (not gonna lie, I'd totally be one of them). If you want to become part of the 3% that actually wants to stay there or has a binding clause and can't leave, you'll have to change your entire mindset (also, as a personal note, I think I said in a previous video, but learning academic mythology made me appreciate Touhou so much more, because it makes us aware of these differences) - even Sumireko doesn't STAY there, only visiting when she's feeling like (and it's unclear if it's her or her doppelganger youkai).
Also one thing that I feel it should be said is that no one in Gensokyo should be taken in face value. Even Akyuu's Gensokyo Chronicle has some things that count as exagerations or understatements. This is why learning the mindset is even more important.

    • @brickstonesonn9276
      @brickstonesonn9276 7 місяців тому +3

100% agree on that last part. Learning Touhou lore reminds me a lot of reading primary sources for historical events.
Like, you can't just read that shit & take everything at face value. You have to use a lot of your own analytical skills to find the reality within the fiction and separate them. Doing that requires knowledge & understanding of the culture that primary source was written in, as well as understanding who the person that wrote it is & knowing why they wrote it.

If I found myself spirited away, I’d probably do my best to make a living in the human village for a while, learning as much as I can about Gensokyo and magic, and I’d probably make my goal to be a sennin, pursuing the Taoist arts from wherever I possibly can get knowledge from. One of the main reasons I want to be a hermit is for the long life-span. I do not wish to become immortal. I am content with the idea that I will die one day. However, I would like to extend my life for as long as possible, not for the sake of power or to be the smartest sentient thing in the world (I assume I can only use so much magic and religious practices to embolden my mind before I start going crazy from the hundreds of years worth of memories) but I would love the opportunity to experience seeing the world change over the course of a few centuries, providing guidance to both people and youkai so that they may live better lives. I would think that the path of ascetic training would be hard and arduous, but I think the end result would be a soul-healing experienced that’d give me a clear, serene mind. Finding peace with myself and who I am as well as imparting peace into other people is something I strive for, and something I am very much not perfect at (far from it). I don’t want to do anything to change the way how Gensokyo works, so I plan to at the end of the day keep a low profile, exploring everything that Gensokyo has to offer in terms of sights, sounds, and wisdom.
So uh, yeah, although giant laser fights and harem power fantasies have their appeal, if you asked me what I’d really want realistically, I’d take the slow ascetic life. I’d feel like that’d be the best use of my time in Gensokyo.

What if instead of building/buying a house I'd move into an abandoned one? Like the abandoned monastery on Yokai Mountain, who the tengu massacred the residence of. I'm sure there are other uninhabited buildings scattered around Gensokyo made by unwise humans, but I'll be different because I'm better. One issue I see with those is that'll constantly be accosted by tsukumogami and the like, but hey, it's free real-estate.
Another option would be the old tree house of the Fairies of Light, but the chances of not only stumbling upon it but also noticing it's a house are quite astronomical. Though thinking of that, fairies are quite good at building dwellings; Cirno, Larva, and the three fairies all have fairly cozy homes. So maybe I'd be possible to -trick/scam- convince some fairies to make me a home, I'm sure their demands would be much more reasonable (Like some broken coloured glass or something).

An interesting concept is what happens if, after you thrive in Gensokyo, you want to visit the outside world again.
It is stupidly difficult but if you've become an excellent magician or something of similar level and set things up in a way that will not make the local humans and yokai aware that you went outside, the sages will most likely allow it.
BUUT with new knowledge the outside world becomes possibly one of the most lethal places imaginable for you due to a simple reason:
Beyond the yokai, fey and overall beings of fantasy unfortunate enough to not be in a wonderland, powerful beings also frequent there temporarily (like Yukari does)
So going back to the outside world exposes you to all shorts of menaces from multiple cultures.
From Djinn that have reached the state of a Marid, to "primordial" devils like chorts or biedas to the beings that mustn't be named from America
By Touhou's logic, they are out there, granted, only temporarily before they retreat back to their own realms, like the sages do. But now you know they lurk there. And since you know, they'll know you know.
The outside world is a shifty place that at some point of awareness changes from "boring but safe" to "The place most of the extra scary beings operate in".
The only way you will avoid trouble is if you get Yukari or Okina (or maybe Eiki) to explicitly protect you, but good luck doing that.

It would not only net you an income, but Kosuzu would be your go-to translator, making learning about Gensokyo a bit more accessible. Plus, working in a book rental store would be a safe, quiet enough environment for someone to settle in comfortably (assuming you can get passed the low but potential risk of encountering demon books.)

Though on a completely unrelated thought, I know it will never happen but god I wish there were characters or even a touhou game around Jewish folklore. Touhou has done neat stuff with other religious practices, and it wouldn’t have to be too western given the history of having to move. But really my main thought is that one reoccurring idea of Reform Judaism is looking eastward. Sure that’s in reference to Jerusalem, but there’s also how some medieval thoughts came to the belief that the garden of Eden was in the far east. So there could be something spiritually wholesome in allowing characters that reference Jewish folklore to live in the eastern Wonderland of gensokyou.

Well, for anyone that makes it to the village, be it from the Shrine, or otherwise, there is one approach that stands out as the best possible option early on, and one that I'm surprised you didn't even mention: Eientei.
First of all, the residents there are human-friendly, settling on the "human side" after Imperishable Night.
Reisen makes regular visits to the village, and might be persuaded to bring you along when going back, eliminating the dangers of traversing the Bamboo Forest, and while Reisen _might_ know English, Eirin *definitely* does (she'd be more proficient and knowledgable than any human, in any subject, really.)
Not to mention... Eirin could, no doubt, make some medicine to address the language barrier, should she have incentive to, for those who'd need it.
In short, heading to Eientei would have a lot of potential payoff, simply because Eirin is literally the single biggest source of information available, and she's not hostile towards normal humans in the slightest. Hell, Toyohime gained her power just by actually understanding one of Eirin's lectures.
Although... I guess that requires some degree of meta knowledge, assuming you don't stumble onto Eientei's existence by sheer luck, and then somehow realize that it's more than some weird pharmacy out in the woods.

I got... Pleasantly surprised by the use of Dance with Wolves at the end there, great song choice.
Aside from that, amazing video here. I always pondered about something like this, since this always seemed like an interesting topic to delve into/ I just unfortunately didn't know enough about Touhou lore to comfortably do so. The way you tackled it here was engaging, and I know I sound monkey oo-oo-aa-aa video game brain right now, but it was a genuinely good way of showcasing the information! (big wall of text if you press read more)
There is another way for progression that seems interesting, and that's using technology to substitute for magic or any mystic art that you may learn. Imagine this, after ending up in Muenzuka, you manage to claw your way to Rinnosuke's shop with his help, where the abundance of technology ignites a spark in you. Moments before Rinnosuke takes you to the Hakurei Shrine, you take note of the location for the future. After doing the entire song and dance of wanting to stay in the Human Village, you manage to convince Reimu, somehow, and you stay there.
As you do work and improve like in the video, you instead spend the off time you have tinkering with whatever materials you may have rather than learning magic, creating primitive inventions. You may still end up going to Kosuzu to see if they have any books about technology available.
Anyways, you manage to sell these inventions of yours, making a quick buck while improving your own tech making skills. Once you get fluent enough in Japanese, scrounge up enough money, and plan your expedition, you make a quick trek to Rinnosuke's shop, and maybe barter some things there, finally getting yourself some tech.
After getting your first piece of modern technology, you simply stare at it in delight. Quickly getting to work, you use all the experience you've obtained from the limited supply of books and your own inventions, and you manage to create a copy of it from whatever scrap material you have. Wonderful, but it just struck you... how will you power it?
Thinking on the things you've learnt, perhaps you could use one of the many forms of generating electricity and apply it here. Regardless, you manage to do so one way or another, and now you've achieved a huge milestone in your technology-filled career. From here on, your life will continue as usual. Learning, working, saving, hopping over to Rinnosuke's shop every now and then to see gadgets you can reverse engineer, and the like.
Eventually you'll manage to help improve the quality of life at the village with your inventions. You're a well-known name there now, and you manage to get yourself a good house and a lot of cash by selling your inventions as well as using these inventions in your work. Maybe you'll attract the attention of some kappas, which will be another important aspect for your journey.
Thanks to your time in the village, you know what kappas are capable of. Packing loads of cucumbers, you somehow meet a kappa by chance. Maybe during certain festivities, or by making the dangerous trek to the Genbu Ravine. Either way, you meet with a kappa, and you manage to bond with them over your love of technology... and maybe a few cucumbers.
Once you do so, I myself don't know if this would happen, but maybe you could learn how to create kappa-technology, while providing your own knowledge of modern-world technology to the kappa. Perhaps the kappa will introduce you to other kappa, or perhaps they'll just happily collaborate with you so long as you provide them information and cucumbers.
Regardless, with the combination of kappa and modern technology, as well as a load of cash from your work in the Village, you would finally have the ability to create technology that may enable you to fly, all without magic. From here, you'd mostly follow the same path as the video, instead replacing magic with your superior technology.
Maybe you'd share this technology with the village, or maybe you'll keep it to yourself. Who knows? Though, perhaps modernizing the human village so quickly might not exactly be in your best interests, one way or another... either way, the future is uncertain from here. Certain characters like Marisa could take an interest in you, and you'd find that your path of progression would differ greatly as a result.
I might be completely wrong about this and the kappa would actually just take your buttball and leave you to die, but writing all this has been really fun, and it only goes to show how much fun this topic is to ponder about! Sorry that I just made a wall of text here though, like I said, I just really like this concept...

Outside technology my wife and I have which is valuable to the village:
    - Modern techniques for vertical farming.
    - Incorporations of old permaculture with new farming methods.
    - Modern advances in mushroom cultivation.
(We intend to retire as farmers)
    - Being lesbians.
    - Being actual career Linguists.
(Neither of us know Japanese very well)
    - we got mandarin, French, Norwegian, Russian, English, and Spanish going for us - as well as being really good at picking up and teaching languages.
    - We're both great cooks and bakers.
    - her specialty is macarons
    - mine is sourdough
    - and various misc skills that I wouldn't really count as "important" outside advancements
    Downside:
We are of comparably poor health. Though this mostly is trouble with our bones, weak immune system, and general tiredness. We appear youthful, externally, however.

I did a scenario exercise (roleplay) with an incident in gensokyo, I have a character who's a Nam vet and he's basically a handyman. Not really serious about the language barrier. But doing these scenarios helped me develop the character. Gensokyo however has some leg room for interpretation. Pretty cool video.

"man eating youkai" proceeds to show a friendly werewolf, a corpse stealer cat (she wont eat you youre going in the reactor), the singular most harmless Touhou ever, and a fox thats more likely to literally stab you than eat you. Mmm nothing wrong here.

Damn I just realized...when Rinnosuke mentioned taking things that "fell from the outside world" for Korindou he wasn't talking random items getting caught in the border fluctuations, he was talking about corpses to loot after the Youkai got finished eating the people. At best he may just be blissfully ignorant, but I find it hard to not notice bloodshed on various items and torn clothing in Muensuka
This video continues to warp my perception of Gensokyo and I kinda dig it

Another thing to mention with the animal realm is the primate spirit garden. Usually this would be an extremely bad move as that's just the hunting ground for all the beast spirits there, but there is a chance that Keiki would be there and would probably help you out.... by turning you into a clay idol but that does come with some benefits. That being an extended lifespan, immunity to spiritual attacks and the fact that you wouldn't need to eat, sleep, or drink anymore. That plus the fact that Keiki probably knows some English (if her little "Oh! Create!" line is anything to go by) and so communication will be solved as well. Bad news is, you'll probably end up being added to her Haniwa military, and you're strength will most likely depend on how loyal you are to her (if Mayumi is anything to go off of) so you are somewhat restricted in your power with this option.

So CoLA is one of the few official works I haven't consumed yet, but the points in this video about Muenzuka and how Rinnosuke gets his wares there. . .
Is he basically looting corpses for his merchandise? Or at least a portion of them?

It is said that not only does humans spirit into gensokyo (either yukari or whatever reason like sumireko/Maribel (ability)/Renko(as a dream), but items also spirit into gensokyo, the thing about the border of gensokyo is anything that people no longer fears/forgets/defied is sent to gensokyo, whether its gods/youkais/objects, pretty sure they are sent to border where rinnosuke finds them
This is based on my understanding

    • @GensouChronicle
      @GensouChronicle  9 місяців тому +9

Very possible... As for the rest of it, the barrier isn't super concrete, so a lot of junk is just found sitting around like old computers and such.

    • @benquinnobi6461
      @benquinnobi6461 9 місяців тому +4

I'd already heard from random sources over time that Muenzuka had a lot of junk from the outside world, and Rinnosuke went there to stock up. I also knew stuff could just come through the barrier from time to time, so without knowing about humans likely getting eaten in the area fairly often, I just left it at 'stuff ends up there' up until now. Just a little extra context to make Rinnosuke seem like just a little more of a weirdo.
I really need to read CoLA.@@GensouChronicle

I have two new scenarios for this...
    (Edit: Rephrased the first one.)
Can you survive Gensokyo as a bloodthirsty maniac, killing any human you see, including inside the village, no matter if it was man, woman, or child?
    Or
Can you survive creating a cult in Gensokyo?
(Sorry if that 1st one sounded too terrifying.)

1: pretty much everything and everyone there is somewhat of a sociopath, you'll fit right in!
2: As long as it doesn't challenge the major religons and shrines of Gensokyo, go ahead!

    • @superdude2468

Honestly, if you somehow did create another village, your gonna be in for the long haul. Reimoo isn't exactly merciful if the first idea goes through.
On the other hand, it would be a interesting incident. The Human Village Civil War.
