To me, this is meant as a means of giving said final ring/zone a sense of spectacle to it. The fact that its a more expansive ring/zone (especially with sc's) compared to its counterparts, the ring gives a sense of intimidation, which, as the final area in a world, is quite proper. It really almost coins ring 9 and zone 10 themselves as the "finale ring/zone" of their worlds.

in my opinion Ring 9 should have 14 towers divided this way: 7 SCs and 7 Non-SCs. Have 3 or 2 Intense, 4 or 5 Remorseless, 1 or 2 Insane, 2 Extreme, 2 Terrifying, and 1 or 2 Catastrophic. IMO that is a good way to balance the difficulties in Ring 9.

if the range is between 12-14 towers, 12 towers ideally the best thing would be to confirm 2 towers for each difficulty in any case i do want to see both tocp:r and tocr coexist in game, it does more good than confirming only one would do because if only one of them got in there would be a group of manchildren creating an uproar over the one that didnt get in. plus having two polar opposite cata towers (one is relatively short and basically purist and one is very long and uses lots of really unique cos) would be pretty cool in my opinion lol

I think having intense as a starting difficulty is fine because when someone makes it to Ring 9, most likely that person has beaten a few intense towers and are likely enough to take down the intense towers of ring 9, although I do understand why you think challenging would be better because it would mean more towers would be beatable for people who maybe have only one or two intense towers.
If space is a problem with having 2 cata towers, why not just make more space? I really have no idea if this is even allowed but this just seems obvious to think of.

ToAAA was actually low catasthrophic when it was released (and when it was reviewed) but it got nerfed (and voted) down to high extreme. this marks just how difficulty it is to have a CAT difficulty tower since the boundaries betweeen extreme and CAT are way too blurry. with the only thing standing between them is the ammount of bullshit moments it can have. and also the opposite the barreir between CAT and joke tower are also very slim making the catasthropic tower scene a very niche standard due to the sheer challenge it poses building one. ToAAA was going headfirst into being CAT (wich was its intention to be the hardest tower ever on jtoh) going trough countless versions and revisions in an almost 2 year development time and still with all that effort it got voted out of CAT and had to be nerfed to fit the modern standards of world 2.
This is what I think should happen for ring 9, this is my opinion: I think that both ToCR and ToCPR should be in ring 9. I think this, because there is a part of the community that enjoys purist towers or doesn't mind them, and the other part of the community that likes client-sided objects. I do know that this IS a ring, therefore there are probably going to be 12-14 towers and half of them would be sc. And for the obelisk, I think that there should be 2 safety nets and it would be high remorseless. Having the obelisk be low sc would cause controversy in my opinion.
I personally am looking for ToCP:R to go in bc I find it a lot more fun, also, everyone loves fren so if ToCP:R does go in people won’t be as mad as you’d think. Also, Ring 7 is a lot more popular than you’d think, it’s a whole lot of people’s favorite ring, and it’s definitely one of my favorite.

Okay, this IS a ring NOT a zone. But, Ring 8 has 12 Towers and 1 Citadel so if it becomes Intense to Cata then both towers can get in with 2 towers per difficulty. Or, make one long Citadel for Challenging so 12 Tower and 1 Citadel just like Ring 8.

And the point about the difficulty definitely wasn’t concrete fact.) 2) It has been stated numerous times that Ring 9 will most likely be around 75% SC. 3) I don’t think 2 catastrophic towers is a bad idea. It is, the final ring, and the greatest challenge of W1. It is more challenge for the experienced players. Yes, that is a small percentage, but that group is certainly there. The less skilled population already have a ton of content (over 90 non-SC towers in W1), I don’t think adding more content for the more skilled playerbase will do any harm. 4) Honestly, I don’t think your point about ToCR being more popular than ToCP is accurate. ToCR only seems more popular because it has been around for much longer. Overall, I wouldn’t be surprised if a decent majority of the community prefers ToCP, for numerous reasons.
Point A: I pretty sure at least 50% of the community have already unlocked Ring 9. Point B: adding more and more content can be harmful is because of too many towers like me right now, should i try to beat ToDC and be done with Ring 2? Do i try to beat Forgotten Ridge? Should i try to beat ToIII? Point C: ToCP:R is the one that the commnity has their eyes on the most and Purism being hated as it is seen as a lame way to not use COs or the Kit, This was said in the video. I fell like there should be only 2 cata scs, not only ring 9 should not be so hard for people who suffer on hard towers still in ring 1 and it is not fair.
I think whether the obelisk should be sc or not depends on whether it is required to progress in the game. This is because sc towers are not required to progress through the game and are only challenges fro those who are willing to take them head on.
About two thirds should be soul crushing, I don't see a problem with having 2 intense and 2 remorseless towers. My skill level would only let me beat 2-3 of the towers in the world where I decide but I wouldn't care because it's the final ring. My DC: Intense Intense Remorseless Remorseless Insane Insane Extreme Extreme Terrifying Terrifying Catastrophic Catastrophic Low Insane Obelisk with one major safety net (and outside protection for about 3 floors) If there was just one cata I would never vote for ToCR because it just feels like a bad tower to me even though I generally like purist towers. There are more ways to make cata gameplay than truss spam.
What I think the Difficulty Chart should be: 1 Catastrophic 1 Terrifying 1 or 2 Extremes (most likely 1) 1 or 2 Insanes (most likely 2) Total: 5 SCs 3 Remorseless 3 Intense 2 Challenging (if considered) Total towers: 13. I think the Citadel should be possibly the hardest one in all of JToH (above Peril) or equal to Peril so at least the hardest Great Inferno Citadel.
To be more specific, Mid-High Catastrophic (Not harder than unnerfed Elongated, just below) Mid Terrifying High and Low Mid Extreme Low and High Insane (These seem okay as they equal out each other with other SCs imo like you can do the terrifying before or after Impossible Movement.)
For non-SCs, I'd say a High, Mid and Low Remorseless and it would be High and 2 mid Intenses but two High Challengings to make it more like the Original Ring 9 DC.
Personally, I think both ToCR and ToCPR should be added, but one of the should be nerfed to mid cata, (thats not gonna be likely) But as in personal preference, both are amazing towers, with ToCR making purist towers not boring and bland, and ToCPR (revamp) pushing the limits of wacky jumps and non-purism
I have 2 ideas. 1. Put both towers in ring 9, with tower of champion's road as a palace-tower that makes sure you have showed your skill and proved that you are ready for the FINAL STRETCH (ring 10). 2. Turn one of the towers into a citadel for the ring 1 sub-world(for the first catastrophic in a sub-world), and the other into a palace for one of the zones. Also... ----------------------------------- Ideas for now types of towers 1.Palace-Tower: this tower is a tower that has a boss fight in it 2.Centarians: This type has towers with 100 floors and has checkpoints that let you return to the last checkpoint you reached after you head to the tower portal and enter when you die and respawn in the lobby.

1) Gamma’s message on TFS wasn’t a concrete fact. I was there during numerous discussions about TFS. It was more-so a possibility (though a somewhat high one. And the point about the difficulty definitely wasn’t concrete fact.)
2) It has been stated numerous times that Ring 9 will most likely be around 75% SC.
3) I don’t think 2 catastrophic towers is a bad idea. It is, the final ring, and the greatest challenge of W1. It is more challenge for the experienced players. Yes, that is a small percentage, but that group is certainly there. The less skilled population already have a ton of content (over 90 non-SC towers in W1), I don’t think adding more content for the more skilled playerbase will do any harm.
4) Honestly, I don’t think your point about ToCR being more popular than ToCP is accurate. ToCR only seems more popular because it has been around for much longer. Overall, I wouldn’t be surprised if a decent majority of the community prefers ToCP, for numerous reasons.
I agree with these statements
Point A: I pretty sure at least 50% of the community have already unlocked Ring 9.
Point B: adding more and more content can be harmful is because of too many towers like me right now, should i try to beat ToDC and be done with Ring 2? Do i try to beat Forgotten Ridge? Should i try to beat ToIII?
Point C: ToCP:R is the one that the commnity has their eyes on the most and Purism being hated as it is seen as a lame way to not use COs or the Kit, This was said in the video. And the reason is because of ToTL being one of the worst SC towers and ToHH having no other colo(u)rs other then black and white.

I think whether the obelisk should be sc or not depends on whether it is required to progress in the game. This is because sc towers are not required to progress through the game and are only challenges fro those who are willing to take them head on.

About two thirds should be soul crushing, I don't see a problem with having 2 intense and 2 remorseless towers. My skill level would only let me beat 2-3 of the towers in the world where I decide but I wouldn't care because it's the final ring.

If there was just one cata I would never vote for ToCR because it just feels like a bad tower to me even though I generally like purist towers. There are more ways to make cata gameplay than truss spam.
Ring 9 will not have an obelisk.

What I think the Difficulty Chart should be:
1 Catastrophic
1 Terrifying
1 or 2 Extremes (most likely 1)
1 or 2 Insanes (most likely 2)
Total: 5 SCs
3 Remorseless
3 Intense
2 Challenging (if considered)
Total towers: 13.
I think the Citadel should be possibly the hardest one in all of JToH (above Peril) or equal to Peril so at least the hardest Great Inferno Citadel.
To be more specific,
Mid-High Catastrophic (Not harder than unnerfed Elongated, just below)
Mid Terrifying
High and Low Mid Extreme
Low and High Insane
(These seem okay as they equal out each other with other SCs imo like you can do the terrifying before or after Impossible Movement.)
For non-SCs, I'd say a High, Mid and Low Remorseless and it would be High and 2 mid Intenses but two High Challengings to make it more like the Original Ring 9 DC.
and above CoQ since CoQ is harder than CoP and they are both in the game

Personally, I think both ToCR and ToCPR should be added, but one of the should be nerfed to mid cata, (thats not gonna be likely) But as in personal preference, both are amazing towers, with ToCR making purist towers not boring and bland, and ToCPR (revamp) pushing the limits of wacky jumps and non-purism

I have 2 ideas. 1. Put both towers in ring 9, with tower of champion's road as a palace-tower that makes sure you have showed your skill and proved that you are ready for the FINAL STRETCH (ring 10). 2. Turn one of the towers into a citadel for the ring 1 sub-world(for the first catastrophic in a sub-world), and the other into a palace for one of the zones.

Ideas for now types of towers
1.Palace-Tower: this tower is a tower that has a boss fight in it
2.Centarians: This type has towers with 100 floors and has checkpoints that let you return to the last checkpoint you reached after you head to the tower portal and enter when you die and respawn in the lobby.
Why would you need to beat a high catastrophic tower to prove you're ready for a remorseless obelisk. What kind of logic is that.
And palaces are a removed tower type.

imo, ToCP should be in Ring 9, and ToCR in the zones, because so far the only "purist" towers are in Zone 1 and zone 3 (ToTL, ToHH)
