i would not mind spiders as long as they don't bite or attack. if spiders were big and docile as a dog i would love to have one as a part of the family even! but i'm never sure with spiders.. i will try not to harm any that visit my home and let them out! atleast there are no big ones here where i live..

The next morning, I looked and he was in a molt. I tried steaming the room and warm blanket around his aquarium. No luck. I've cried so much. They are a big part of my life. I rescue them and even if I'd had it one day, I'd love them forever.

This happened 2am in the morning when he was shedding in pieces. I was up until 3am. While a snake is easy to help, tarantulas are so delicate. The things we do for love.

no, they have no idea who you are and they don't have the brain capacity to have complex feelings. she was laying like that because she is stuck. Her body doesn't have blood flowing through it properly and she was stuck inside of a hard shell of old skin that was keeping her soft, larger body locked inside of it. the spider is soft inside and after it comes out of the old shell it hardens up again. she would have hardened inside her old shell and it would have killed her.

Way to go! I've only ever had to help one of my T's molt before, and he just needed to flipped over onto his back so he could straighten out his legs. Great to see people with enough care and passion for their inverts to do this :)

This Video might just have saved the life of our geniculata. She got stuck with to opposite legs and one pedipalpe. We just removed the molt, but she ripped one off almost entirely. She's in ICU right now and my boyfriend and i are really anxious about her... hope she'll last over night... and will live... but she's a real fighter... so sad over Sammy, but I dunno what we would have done without these Videos... Certain spiders are known to socialize, but none are scientifically known to form social 'bonds'. However, several spiders are known to have different 'personalities' - or at least individual responses to different stimulations. Saying that a spider is friendly would be a... relative term. But if I were you, I'd look into jumping spiders. They have a, by spider standards, particularly developed brain, so if any spider is to grow conscious enough to be 'friendly', it would probably be one of the newly evolved jumping spiders.

Her body doesn't have blood flowing through it properly and she was stuck inside of a hard shell of old skin that was keeping her soft, larger body locked inside of it.
the spider is soft inside and after it comes out of the old shell it hardens up again. she would have hardened inside her old shell and it would have killed her.

This Video might just have saved the life of our geniculata. She got stuck with to opposite legs and one pedipalpe. We just removed the molt, but she ripped one off almost entirely. She's in ICU right now and my boyfriend and i are really anxious about her... hope she'll last over night... and will live... but she's a real fighter... so sad over Sammy, but I dunno what we would have done without these Videos... Thank you so much...

Certain spiders are known to socialize, but none are scientifically known to form social 'bonds'. However, several spiders are known to have different 'personalities' - or at least individual responses to different stimulations.
Saying that a spider is friendly would be a... relative term. But if I were you, I'd look into jumping spiders. They have a, by spider standards, particularly developed brain, so if any spider is to grow conscious enough to be 'friendly', it would probably be one of the newly evolved jumping spiders.
