I know Donny, the beautiful soul and artist, is in a heavenly dimension, free of the pain he endured on earth. Despite his torment, he gave the world so much joy and beauty through his artistry. Everttime I listen to his music, his spirit touches mine, as well as all the other beings who love him, and all our spirits are elevated. Thank you and Bless you forever.
He could have put his hands in his pockets for the rest of his life and still had a career as a singer, and he could have sewn his mouth shut and still had a career as a jazz/funk/r&b keyboardist. It's such a shame there seems to be very little of his work preserved. He deserves a heck of a lot more respect, that's for sure.

When i saw this on TV Land, i didn’t know who Donny Hathaway was and i took this clip for granted. Fast forward a few years later, I’m into Donny’s music now! What a GREAT singer and musician he was. Flip really put a lot of acts on his show and gave them exposure.
