It is time now for us to honor ourselves and each other and not wait for others to deign a touch on the shoulder as a show if appreciation.
We, the talented ones should now cut the strings, remember who we are, and do the things that divine self awareness and self love inspire.

I can't remember the first time, but I do recall that song causing me to grieve Sasha's death in The Walking Dead show, which was a character I wouldn't have otherwise grieved. Which ultimately proves my theory that music ABSOLUTELY AND UNDISPUTEDLY influences emotions, and emotions influence actions, especially the actions of the inexperienced.
That being said Modern day POPULAR blck music is mostly self destructive denigrative trash, and it IS influencing our kids and young adults, and this is facts no matter how many times people disagree. BRING BACK RREEAALL BLK MUSIC✊🏾

When I first heard Luther Vandross sing, I could hear that he was inspired by Donny after singing background for him and Roberta Flack. An agent was to assassinate someone, who was a problem. 2 men worked together on a project. One of the men was becoming concerned about the work. He became a mark. He eventually was said to have jumped from a hotel window. But the UA-cam video revealed he had been pushed. One agent was quoted as saying, the pushing method posed little problem, being labeled as suicide. I immediately thought about Mr. Hathaway.
I also remember stories of Mr. Hathaway saying they want to take over his music He adamant about concerns of being targeted. He was eventually diagnosed with being paranoid schizophrenia. 🤔

@@MultiSuperguy101 There is a giant body of information that you have apparently never encountered. Try approaching this topic with a little more curiosity and a smidgen less intellectual comfort. ( Reflex-Deflecting ideas from people who are less articulate) There ARE military intelligence applications for mis-used psychiatry. Please study in depth first and then come to your own conclusions later : you can start with the handiwork of Harold Alexander Abramson, psychiatrist & pediatrician-allergist. He was the Supervising psychiatrist for Frank Olsen the target discussed above. Harold A. Abramson was notorious only for his LSD experiments but..... He was financially involved with founding child research facilities and was a consultant to many inpatient research centers similar to C.A.R.I.H. for the apparently "philanthropic study" of (aka studying trauma reactions to Total Liquid Ventilation, or waterboarding) of pediatric asthma patients. Hence the connection between immunology and psychiatry. His dual qualifications were later on smudged over and erased by disambiguating and dissociating Harold Abramson versus Harold A. Abramson. There are SO MANY other examples like this. Please study the handiwork of Louis Jolyon West, who had control over Mario Savio, an instigator Campus Free Speech movement, while Mario was interned at an inpatient facility at UCLA neuropsychiatric. See page 499 "Epilogue" to 2012 book by Seth Rosenfeld "Subversives", a book that uses no anonymous sources and no fictionalized accounts -- only FOIA documents released by FBI after three decades of legal battle. After that, please furthermore take a look at the handiwork of Martin Orne, a founding member of FMSF, false memory syndrome foundation. A foundation whose express purpose was to establish in the public mind the falsity of memory aqcuired under traumatic conditions. Please study the legal and scientific handiwork of Elizabeth Loftus versus the testimony of Nicole Taus, please look at the handiwork of Pamela and Peter Freyd - compare against the testimony of their daughter Jennifer Freyd. Richard A. Leo, an interrogation specialist aka False Confession specialist. Richard Ofshe, formerly professor at UC Berkeley. Colonel Michael Aquino, not reprimanded for Presidio Daycare Scandal of 1991 but instead transferred and promoted into the N.S.A. The horrifying fact is that, YES, Academic studies *can* be biased or falsified by people who need funding to further their careers. Science under these conditions is no longer actually science. So please dont feel overly comfortable with everything you think you know.

I was being driven home from work with my dad and he had bought the local paper I was reading it and saw the article that said he had committed suicide. My stomach dropped, I thought Nooooo please not Donny Hathaway, I couldn’t believe it. He wasn’t well known in the UK only by the Roberta Flack duets. When I heard his voice with Roberta Flack I knew he was someone special and bought all his albums. He had one of the greatest voices ever and was an immense talent. A great singer, writer, keyboard player, producer, arranger, a genius. Mental illness is a horrific thing to have, it claims so many lives. He was under "mind control" is the reason why people say he had schizophrenia. He was having a mental breakdown because he was breaking through the "mind control" and his "handlers" couldn't handle him anymore. It was because they wanted his music catalog. His sickness took a terrible toll on my parents, myself and anyone close to my brother. Life is incredibly cruel at times.

The live version of 'I love you more than you'll ever know' that, in my opinion, is one of the greatest vocal performances of all time. He was before my time, but when I heard it, it stopped me dead in my tracks, and I immediately clamored to figure out who it was. It's a shame his music isn't more popular amongst people my age, because his voice is absolutely perfect.

😮I really don't believe Donny was killed. This beautiful man suffered from a mental illness that is so cruel it spins the person who suffers from it in so many directions. It is heartbreaking to watch.❤ My brother was diagnosed when he was 20 yrs old. One time I saw him sitting on my mom's bed. She was trying to encourage him in some way and then I walked in the room and saw tears streaming down his face. I'd never seen my brother cry ever. I knew then that he was tired of the fight, and the meds which he was initially taking at the time sucked
and didn't help. I knew why. This was my big brother who would come to my rescue whenever someone would pick on me. I don't know if Donny fell or he jumped but I just know in my heart that he had to be tired.😮 It's one thing to be tired in body but quite another to be tired mentally. Many of us have been there. But no, I just do not believe he was killed. It's so important that we educate ourselves about mental illness and be willing to see it for what it is so that we can get in the fight, not forcibly but lovingly, athough at times the loves gonna have to be a bit tough. We have to pay attention when we notice things are off with them so that we can talk to them about it and really listen and offer to go with them to talk to someone. We want to help them find effective treatment early before they're so far gone that getting them to get the help becomes more difficult😮. My brother passed away some years ago, but he let me pray for him as he accepted Christ into his heart. I know I will see him again one day and he will be perfect, even more beautiful than the big brother who left us.❤❤😊
Rest in paradise brother until we meet again. I love you, man!!! Glad you're at peace❤

Just my opinion but I don’t believe he took his own life. I believe due to his schizophrenia he jumped in part due to the unwanted horrible perceived feelings that he was having, but I don’t believe for one second that was intentional and wanted to end it all. I feel really bad.

I’ve always thought the same thing too. I think the voices told him too or he was trying to escape the voices and stuff. Mental illness is such a horrible disease. And they didn’t have the resources, meds , etc back then that they have now. And like most ppl they take the meds till the start feeling better. Then stop once they think they’re ok. It’s sad. He was such a talented musical genius. In such a short period of time. He left such a powerful impact on the musical industry and the world honestly. He’s definitely one of my favs!

DONNY RAN INTO A CORNER SAYING THAT THEY WERE TRYING TO STEAL HIS MUSIC MAY HAVE VERY WELL BEEN TRUE. THE FACT THAT HE MISTERIOUSLY COMMITED SUICIDE MAKES ME WONDER ABOUT THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY. THEY KNEW DONNY WAS TALENTED AND KNEW HE HAD SOME MENTAL ISSUES AS WELL. PERHAPS THEY TRIED TO MANIPULATE HIM $$ WISE AND HE REFUSED. IM THINKING... THEY KNEW HE WAS BIG AND LOVED BY FANS SO HE DIDN'T NEED THEM AS MUCH AND COULD DO IT ON HIS OWN. THEY DON'T LIKE YOU BEING TOO INDEPENDENT. JUST LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED TO SINGER, SALINA. THEY NEW SHE WOULD NOT SUBMIT AND SELL HER SOUL BUT HAD ALREADY HAD A HUGH FAN BASE MADE ON HER OWN POPULARITY. SHE'S GONE TOO.....IJS.
