Our Professional degrees place Nurses in positions our predecessors wouldn't have dreamt possible. The more knowledge we have , the better we can advocate AND effect changes . Don’t put that loom away without doing one more square….then maybe one more!😉 I swear it’s addictive as one more row on a shawl or one more stripe on a blanket. Happy weaving! Thanks for hanging out! I agree the pony cords do slip, I have used them for a knit garment that I am piecing together and have had to go back several times as stitches slip off, thank goodness I’m using no super wash 100% wool so the stitches are easy to pick up.

This was a much more pleasant listening experience. Kevin, the zoom loom swatches make great cardi or sweater elbow patches. Also beware! It started with a DIY zoom type loom, which evolved to a rigid heddle loom or 3, which evolved to a floor loom, which evolved into another more expensive floor loom, which evolved into 2 spinning wheels… and accessories anyways before you know it you have a studio with 20g worth of equipment because of a pin loom. 😇😂

Ray, I think your beautiful Kenyarn would make a striking Barndom shawl or you could add both colors to your frogged yarn from Twists and Turns and do the Aurora Cabin shawl (so fun and easy to knit). I can't believe two weeks have passed. Time moves too quickly. I knit washcloths for a friend who has a shop. She sold one to another one of my friends. She liked it so much but asked me to make a long back scrubber washcloth so I just made my prototype. Between washcloths and scarves I need a change. I have to make the hat my daughter wants. I looked at your thumbnail picture and thought that you must hate paying your power bill too!😊😂😆🤣. The friend who has a shop wants me to make fingerless mitts too. I am going to try yours, not the curling one. I think it will be safer for a shop. I sometimes like a neckline that curls down. I stopped watching tv 5 years ago! Welcome to the club! We can knit more now. I always love listening to you two. Since I am newer to your videos, I didn't know the story how you met. So sweet. Mine was boring. My co worker introduced me to her cousin. The rest is history. Next month will be 12 years without him physically but he is always with me. He passed with pancreatic cancer just out of the blue. He was never sick. Cherish every moment you have, I know you do. I love listening to you so bye until two more weeks!

Great episode! Thank you for the length of the video as well! I was pushing through attempting to finish a fingering-weight Musselburgh hat and this was a perfect pairing...it became a race to see if I could finish before I got too tired, before the episode ended, and before I ran out of yarn. I am using the Patagonia yarn (for the firs time) in light grey for a sweater and it is really nice and soft and blooms nicely (according to my swatch). Gorgeous purchases and you have my thinking I need to knit a Vertices Unite....

Hello from Toronto. I love your podcasts! Thank you for sharing your crafting, reading and watching. I had an issue with the “Reading Progress” information in the bottom left hand corner of my Kindle too. I was able to change it by tapping on the Font (Aa) symbol at the top of the page to get the Themes, Font, Layout and More tabs. I clicked on the “More” tab and then clicked on the arrow next to “Reading Progress” to select the “Time left in chapter” option. I hope this works on your Kindle.

Hello, guys! I use 9 inch circs for my socks, but the tutorial I used suggested casting onto dpns and then switching to the circs. I find that it works so much better and the slight gap is easily bridged when I weave in the end. Love watching you show your beautiful knitting. The beachy shawl recipients are very lucky women!

Hi Deborah! We haven’t purchase the needles, they actually have paused the production due to the smaller sizes breaking. We were able to snag one of the cords, but haven’t tried it yet. A few of our friends have tried the cords and do not like the join on them.

Last year my grandchild was in a high school production of Be More Chill. The play was based on technology and how it can sometimes control and influence people, especially teenagers. My grandchild played a drug dealer who sold the “technology pill “ through their job at a big box shoe store. They were also a “drunk at a high school party”. So different from their previous part in Mary Poppins!😂. I am going to contact the dyer to see if it is possible for me to purchase the January box for them, I know they would love it! Thanks for podcasting, I look forward to each one.

Ray, it is nurses are superheroes and getting an MBA in this healthcare environment is a great plan. The best of luck with school. I love seeing Kevin's old WIPs. This year, part of my New Year's goals is to make an effort to find all of my old WIPs and either finish or frog them. I have already finished one of them. And I want to thank both of you for helping me get stuff done. It took over 20 hours for me to get home from a trip last night and wasn't in the mood to do anything but watching you guys is making it much easier to unpack and to get ready for work tomorrow.. Ray, congrats on starting your MBA program. My MBA came with some GERD and an eye twitch brought on by exhaustion. They recommended no more than 2 classes at a time if you worked full time. So what did I do? I alternated 36 and 48 hour weeks, night shift at the hospital while taking three classes at a time. I'm sure you'll manage your time a little better though. Kick some ass!
