We’re all accustomed to seeing Gal Gadot portrayed as a very nice person both in movies and in real life. When she plays an antagonist, the protagonist typically has to overcome her, which doesn't seem to be the case here.
The protagonist's appearance doesn’t compare to Gal’s; she actually looks more like an antagonist. I'm speaking purely from a movie perspective. This portrayal is likely hard to digest for most of the audience, as evidenced by the reactions in the comment sections of all the movie trailers.
If Gal Gadot's character could triumph in some kind of twist at the end, it would be fantastic and something everyone would love to see. After all, movies are a business focused on audience satisfaction.

However, what about our feelings as fans? Many of us might find certain aspects of the film cringeworthy and could end up feeling disappointed while watching it in theaters. Just because Gal is happy in real life shouldn’t mean we have to endure a movie experience that doesn’t resonate with us. Isn’t it the responsibility of the filmmakers to consider fan expectations during the casting and production process?
I’m not alone in this perspective; just take a look at the like-to-dislike ratio and the majority of comments online.
If you enjoy the plot regardless of the cast, that’s fantastic-bless you for finding joy in the movie.
