I feel like JYP was trying to go outside the box hoping for a big hit with something different but this was all over the place. Hopefully they’ll get to settle into there own style next comeback.

Honestly I don’t know if this is an actual song but I feel like jyp was trying to show a preview of the different sides nmixx will/can present in the future which are cutesy, rock, badass.

I mean if they only took Ateez's pirate concept then it wouldn't be that much of a big deal, but they straight up copy pasted Ateez's Illusion, Don't Stop, Turbulence and The Real's mv AND they had the audacity to say that they can be some common stets. I mean since when did the pirate concept get common in kpop? Ateez got made fun of for the pirate concept at their debut but now all of a sudden is a common concept barely 3 years later I guess

I DEFINITELY agree with you. The middle part of the song is so promising and would have been such a great debut since it showcases the rap AND vocals. The rest of it fell flat for me.

If you're not SM you can't make songs like SuperM's "One" and SHINee's "Sherlock." It's not easy to put 2 completely different songs together without bumbaclot.
That was like four attempts at songs. Once you thought you hit on a melody, they changed it all up and it just didn't mesh.
I'm a YG stan and I understand what you are saying. SM is in charge with that kind of style of music

The first time that I listened to this song, I was so confused with the beat but, the more I listen to it the more I'm liking it...

I have the impression that jyp wanted to try a new concept for nmixx, but it wasn't executed very well. the music itself isn't bad, but the melody changes don't intertwine and bring this feeling of mess and confusion. The issue with this comeback is very complicated, because the girls are great but the MV seems to have many parts similar to several other Kpop MVs, people are talking a lot about Ateez because it's the most evident (I swear I noticed about 5 scenes that is identical to other Ateez MVs), but there are several others that if you look at it, you can't even tell that they are different MVs. The b-side is way better than the title, and I hope they see that they screwed up on their debut and bring a worthy comeback, because they are so talented. Kisses from Brazil. 💋💋👏👏😍

The fact that many kpop stans are calling out jyp for plagiarism is telling what a mess this comeback was. I hope the girls get something better and off of this mess, they're still young.
You’re right, the beginning and end were not good. But the middle was quality. That middle should have been the concept for the whole song. I get they were hard core, but then fell into some alternate universe, then brought their hard core to that universe too (blah, blah, artsy stuff, blah), but it just wasn’t good and confused everyone.
Yeah I agree, I thought the beginning and ending were really weird and not pleasant to listen to. The only part I enjoyed was that middle part
The song and the MV itself kinda felt like a “Trailer” of some sort. They tried to introduced 2 genres in one music and it works in a way, but at some parts it doesn’t and I really think that JYPE did it this way. They are trying to introduce 2 different styles of the group and given that it’s a single, not a full on album, I really think that they have something big coming. It’s JYPE, they’re full of surprises, who knows?
Exactly how I feel. Flower section should’ve been the whole song, it was actually really good. The rest? And the lyrics? I’ll seriously pass. I hated it.

I have the same feelings like you about this song
it just feels like jyp tried to pull the same thing sm has been doing for years, but the difference is that sm does it cohesively and this wasn't. along with the fact that jype had the group plagiarize parts of ateez's storyline and concept as well, not just the mv. he pretty much set those girls up which is sad because they're actually talented and it must suck to train for years to end up with this debut along with the plagiarism. it sucks for them and it sucks for kq/ateez because jyp being apart of the big3 and kq being a small company means that jype is gonna get away with it.
My honest opinion: There's so much going on. Kinda noisy and messy😐 but the visuals and performance is 👌

It’s a big N.O from me . It was so bad I was so surprised. It’s worse than NCT’s STICKER. I like their song “TANK” that’s experimental but it’s way better. This song was just messy and all over the place. Purely hated it. Some ppl keep talking about how they liked it which is fine but are saying those of us who didn’t are “attacking” the girls… bruh the only one who attacked them is JYP for thinking that putting a song out like this for a DEBUT was okay??? Then there’s some ppl who liked the MV but hated the song. So it’s like really either someone hated it or not. But yea I agree with you. You should listen to their song TANK tho. Also, who knows maybe this song will grow on us lol.

Same dude, I feel if they released both songs individually it might have been a little different. Middle section as the title and the other 2 parts as a B side with a spicy rap and I think more people would have gotten behind it. The last switch up was unnecessary. I feel like they tried to pull an SM move since they seem to be ahead of everyone in musical trends and it didn’t work right. You can clearly tell their vocals are KILLER but I didn’t feel like we got to experience it the way we should have.

When you first listen or watch it..it makes you confused yeah! Maybe you're confused at the first part when the part that has "baila baila" lyrics.. And that's a Spanish word for "dance/dancing" 😊 it's like "watch out, dance dance" "watch it, how nice how nice?" And also, when you watch it with lyrics you can understand what was going on😊 I also have the same reaction as you . but when you listen to it over and over again.. It's so, awesome.

It almost sounds like they were going for the level of switch ups in Girls' Generation's I Got a Boy but it wasn't as cohesive. Also the fact that it's their debut song doesn't exactly help. They're not bad singers or dancers. Just a weird concept.
