So "Young Queen but act like and unnie" = she's the youngest in the group (refereed to as "maknae") but she has an old soul/has a maturity to her essence and/or she's referring that she may be young but she still commands respect like a "unnie" (older sis) or a young queen (like how ppl had to obey 12 yr old queens back in the day if she ascends to the throne as a kid). This was the first song of theirs I’ve heard and whoa! XG definitely has a BRIGHT FUTURE in front of them, especially if they stay together as a group! Edit: first time I heard this I thought it was just one artist changing up her voice like K Dot does, watched the video for the second listen and was shocked that it was so many MCs flowing as ONE! They have a synergy which is amazing! I won’t go so far as to make Wu-Tang Clan comparisons yet because I have to hear more but I’d be lying if I said they don’t remind me of the Wu!

The “unnie” line goes over everyone’s head I feel and it’s one of the best lines. I love that you stopped and tried to break that down. Younger girls and boys will call older girls or boys or older sisters “unnie” it’s a way to respectfully address a female who is older than you but not an elder.

As J-pop has been focused on internal market for a long time and Avex wished to changed this situation. Avex put huge budget on XG to create global girls group . Initial training was held in Japan at the beginning for building up their basic skills like dancing, rapping and singing. Afterwards, they choose Korea as a market for promotion. That’s why some people misunderstand that XG is K-pop but they clearly define and manifest themselves as X-pop. They are from Japan but not ordinary J-pop nor K-pop but x-pop which keeps learning from good from other music genre and keep evolving. No categories of countries or boundary for XG!!!

Unnie is what a younger girl refers to an older girl aka “older sister” in Korean. It's used as a sign of respect. Culturally, they have a hierarchical formalities in their custom and it's also embedded in their language usage system -like formal and non-formal way of speaking. So you are suppose to speak formally to someone older than you for manners/respect but you can speak informally to your same-aged peers. So "Young Queen but act like and unnie" = she's the youngest in the group (refereed to as "maknae") but she has an old soul/has a maturity to her essence and/or she's referring that she may be young but she still commands respect like a "unnie" (older sis) or a young queen (like how ppl had to obey 12 yr old queens back in the day if she ascends to the throne as a kid). Either way, she command respect as a young one.
