Question, did your headlights go out completely, or were they going on and off? Mine are giving me problems, can't find a ground problem, so I'm wondering if I need to do this replacement ? Thanks
Helped a lot to see how to access the switch and how to change it out. I would have liked to know what the problem was to see if it was like the problem with my truck lights.
+Cyndi Sleck i dont have any 94 dakota around but here is the steps: Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the steering column cover and remove the instrument panel bezel. Two screws are hidden behind the steering column cover. Remove the screws from the headlight switch bezel, pull the assembly out and disconnect the wiring. Remove the nut retaining the bezel to the bracket. Depress the spring button on the right side of the switch and remove the headlight switch knob and stem. Remove the spanner nut and remove the switch. The installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
It is sad that for the last 30 years there have been constant issues with the light switches on these trucks...When I bought my Ram 2500 Cummins everyone told me my truck would just fall apart around that great engine it has, Sucks that they were right...
Outstanding
Identical to my 1993 Viper
How did you replace the connector? Did you solder or crimp it?
Hey -
Thanks for the video. There is nothing like being able to see the job played out before starting.
