- At a Smithsonian/Zócalo "What It Means to Be American" event at the British Museum in London, The Economist editor and columnist Adrian Wooldridge makes the case that America has defined itself by accepting or rejecting elements of British culture.
I have no British ancestry. But I recognize that the UK is the mother country of the USA
What needs to be further investigated is why US still continues to pay tax to the City of London if it is a free nation?
Its gets crazier when you learn America became a corporation in 1871. Owned by London... lol happy internet rabbit hole! 😂
Hey, Make America Great Britain Again. MAGA hat anyone?
You could argue that the U.K. has become a "colony" of the U.S....the moment the dollar became the reserve currency of the world was the end of independent British banking...
Americans can keep talking about the military as usual, but Britain is better in every other way and is a better place to live the the US
As long as they speak English, use alot of our culture and beliefs they are still British
We're still owned by britain..look at youtube..it always say "the queen or queen elizabeth" it never says britain's queen or the queen of britain. Just like how hong kong and tai wan is still owned by china regardless of what's being debated the papers that built those countries are from the higher owners.
britain is the mother of the united states of america, britain is and always will be . we speak english, with funny accents. our founding fathers and mothers were english. from canada all the way down to the mexican border in the american continent. the eastern colony side of the usa the original 13 colonies, the names of towns and villages all english names. i am a english scottish american.with some austrian on dads side of the family but my mom was from the english (russell) clan.
Treaty of Paris says US is a free and sovereign nation
The United States of America is a corporation, ruled by the British Crown and the Vatican.
City of London directly and indirectly controls all mayors, councils, regional councils, multi-national and trans-national banks, corporations, judicial systems (through Old Bailey, Temple Bar and the Royal Courts of Justice in London), the IMF, World Bank, Vatican Bank (through N. M. Rothschild & Sons London Italian subsidiary Torlonia), European Central Bank, United States Federal Reserve (which is privately owned and secretly controlled by eight British-controlled shareholding banks), the Bank for International Settlements in Switzerland (which is also British-controlled and oversees all of the Reserve Banks around the world including our own) and the European Union and the United Nations Organization. The Crown controls the global financial system and runs the governments of all Commonwealth countries, and many non-Commonwealth ‘Western’ nations as well (like Greece). The Crown traces back to the Vatican, which is headed by the Pope (who owns American Express) In essence the City of London Corporation would become the “One World Earth Corporation” and would privately own the world.
All Roads Lead to Rome
America is still the British Empire and all of our news is about British Empire countries. The UK, Autralia, Canada and the USA are all linked.
Not a British colony but a Crown colony.
With the passing of the Act of 1807, we became The United States of America, Inc., no longer a free and sovereign nation (Republic of America). The Act of 1807 established the District of Columbia (Washington D.C). They are a foreign entity with ties to England and the Vatican, with elected officials (Presidents) that are ACTUALLY foreign CEO’s of the United States of America, Inc. The passing of this act forever changed our rights under the constitution, as a new constitution was born by changing a few key words.
Being a texas mexican it does feel like a foundation of american culture is english. I sort of think our instuitions are also directly influenced by british culture.
As our breakup letter stated "Enemies in War, in Peace Friends" The commonwealth are our closest ideological allies. Any hostility between us feels like that you would have with a brother. We can toss insults at each other but if somebody was to attack England we would take that personally.
A friend of mine in Wales🏴 actually said it best that, in regards to military might and overall mentality, it could be said that the U.S.🇺🇸 is the son closest to the father🇬🇧. Canada🇨🇦 is the well-behaved first born but Uncle Sam is the rebellious son more like the father in his prime (which the father hates to admit😂).
America has Monarchs etc, they just use different titles... Clintons, Kennedys and Bush's are merely a few, and are distantly related.
