My dad was in the G1MRA back in the 60s and later, I used to go with him to the Exhibition at Central Hall in London, I even got to help drive on the layout a few times.
@@WoodsPrecisionArms Cool indeed! I don't build model trains, I build RC boats and ships, but steam has always been a fascination for me. Nothing has more character than these lovely steam powered machines!
Steam is too addictive... I bought the Hornby live steam mallard set and now I own 3 sets, a rolling road, several mamod engines and various boilers in varying states of repair in boxes... nothing better though than that clitter clatter and smell of steam oil burning off 😊
@@remkojerphanion4686 I’m the same, don’t do trains but RC boats and cars - I just found out about these little steam trains myself - I always went to the steam show in Florida where they have the ride on miniature ones - watch some of those videos those things are unbelievable!!
