Now, the part where you said that you go to Power Setting, and it gives you the options of turning off the charging, putting on for 3 hours, or just keep it on always. The ds4 doesn't show orange light while in rest mode. I've done all the above procedures. My other ds4 however shows orange light while in rest mode.

Bro after you put ur ps4 in rest mode wait until orange light show on ps4 then plug in ur USB cable in ps4 then to ur controller and after that if ur controller doesn't show orange light click on PS BUTTON ON UR CONTROLLER
