    Great review man! I was worried you'd hate them.
    I agree with all your points. Very accurate. Altho I think you can skate street ledges on them as long as you have the non-metal H-Blocks (I.E Alumide or stock)

    • @ThirtyandRollin
      @ThirtyandRollin  4 роки тому

      Ya you can for sure I should have clarified that point more clearly.

      Get the plastic H-Block or plastic frames for street. The Alumide H-Block wont last. The materiale is not hard enough, to withstand street skating. It does slide tho.
      Also the Alumide Block can get stuck in frame. Happend to one of my frames on the dominant foot. The screw went stuck after unscrewing. Took 3 hours and alot of force to change that h-Block.
      Bought my solas last year. Now i use them with the aluminium H-Block. Much better all around Imo.

    Totally agree with your points about how these slide. You do have to approach objects with confidence. But when you do it's better than the plastic on ice feeling.

    4:56 The frame just played the most thrash metal riff I've ever heard on a grind. Listen to it and bow down your head.

    Awesome review man! You're much better at putting it into words than I have been. As someone who skates park and not street, they fit in perfectly with my style of skating. Biggest upside is not having to wax everything in a skatepark that's generally packed with people.
    I completely agree on power transfer as well, they've got such a good feeling for bowl riding.
    Edit: it's interesting that you say they're better for advance to expert skaters, I consider myself in the beginner/inter stages in the grand scheme of things and I really did feel they were worth just to get rid of the fear of sticking.

      I agree on sliding part if you hit your h-block every time. But top and backsides get more challenging on ledges and coping then my "cheater" Oysi frames. It's not a bad thing to practice to hit grind the right way with these. They force that factor but I would rather not fear getting wheel bit on anything. That way I can hit new features and grinds anywhere I go. If these had a bit more wheel bit protection I would get them in replacement of the Oysi frames in a heartbeat.

    Such a solid review! Your video editing and quality is always so top notch. 🙌🏼 I think I may just have to pick up a pair. I've got the GC 60mm Aluminum frames and I am loving them. I'd love to compare the 2.

    • @ThirtyandRollin
      @ThirtyandRollin  4 роки тому +1

      You will love them! I am interested to see the difference s too. I know the GCs are a bit wider in the side walls but the rest looks similar. I may be trying the Keizer frames next.

    Great in-depth review! I have the Solas myself and really like them, they really are amazing and I second all of what you say, especialy that you can definitely stick on backside groove tricks. I even stuck on a few souls on a broader p-rail which really sucked - but I'm a sloppy beginner at grinding I guess. So I'm using them from time to time and in the meantime I got on Oysi mediums. I really think you should try out those! You only lose 12mm of wheelbase, but you get a groove that has a great shape for rails and coping and a lower ride-height as well (while losing some speed). I was able to take my 60mm wheels that were worn down to 58mm from my old Oysi and just bought some additional 65m wheels which was less than 120$ total. I sold my old Oysi frame after the first session on the mediums...

    Great review. Thanks for the info. Are you riding Intuitions in your M12s? Do you get any liner slippage?

    • @ThirtyandRollin
      @ThirtyandRollin  4 роки тому

      I am with no liner slippage. They are super tight in there after I heat molded them to that boot. If you have liner slippage try hot gluing dots around the areas you are slipping.

    Silly question, but I run a two wheel setup and was wondering if you found it better running all four wheels or two for grinds etc?

    • @ThirtyandRollin

      2 would be better for grinds but I like the menuverability and speed of 4 down.

      @@ThirtyandRollin Thanks for the reply, mate.
      I might have to switch up my setup.
      I saw another video where you were using really slow bearings and I feel the same with mine. One wheel spins freely and the others are the same as those super slow bearings you had in the other video.
      So, new bearings and 4 wheels.
