@@VladimirVladimirovichPutin0001 not even remotely, i have a 6600 and can run this at max with 120fps+ (I capped it since some places have less detail and will make it look weird going from 200 to 130 etc etc)
xray is an old engine and this mod doesn't really hurt performance

I'm most impressed by its performance. In some regions it seems to perform better than the vanilla game, especially in areas with a high water and flora density. So smooth, so responsive!

I'm looking forward for Stalker 2 release too, Stalker Anomaly is a good choice though alot of people in the community say you need some knowledge or experience with the original 3 games

It's very pretty, but whenever I see a Stalker mod like this that cranks up the grass height and density, I can't help but wonder: does it also fix the endemic engine limitations that let the AI see and target you through grass that is completely opaque to the player?
Because the main reason I always turn grass down in any Stalker mod isn't the performance hit--it's the imbalanced bullshit.
Expedition does not, however EFP (Escape from Pripyat) does, and it's a much sleeker, better put together mod. It's one of the few mods that I haven't messed around with or restarted a bunch of times.
All of these mods are also INSANELY power hungry. I have a Lenovo Legion 7 and I can't turn up the foliage density that high, my framerate tanks to 20.
@@anima_et_animus1832 good fps on my aorus 15 p yd you have to change some nvidia control panel settings use MSAA on control panel not in game, stalker is unoptimized for newer systems and control panel features are much more modern and optimized.

@@JP-dt5fi What are you talking about? It absolutely doesn't haha. I've played all of the large total conversions, and EFP is the best, most stable, and most streamlined. And the graphics between the two are identical

I am currently going through the base game stalker shadow of Chernobyl and have installed stalker anomaly ready for when I’m done, seeing this has just made it an even bigger excitement to finish and hop in with this new mod I can’t wait

Anomaly hase a VERY bare bones story(a modified version of the CoC mods story) in comparison to vanilla stalker.
Since you guys already listed some, do you have any other recommended mods you should absolutely use for the prior games?
@@dantauche7917 not really maybe clear sky complete but gunslinger will get you what you want. There are some for shadow of chernobyl but they change the gameplay too much so I can't recommend them and considering you're mid game wouldn't make sense anyway

yea dont even mod it bro, trust me. Im a modder and I try to mod almost everygame I play and it backfired everytime I modded a game before finishing it.
As graphically impressive is the Expedition 2.0 pack is, EFP 3.0 and GAMMA are much more stable and feature rich mod-packs of Anomaly. And what's nice about Anomaly is you can pick and choose what addons and reshades and shader mods you want without having to commit to a certain mod-pack to get them. For example I use a reshade of the same quality as Expedition as well as all the various shader mods it includes. While at the same time not using the Expedition 2.0 modpack, but instead using my own custom load order based off EFP 3.0.
agreed, expedition is pretty much mid compared to efp 3.0
I wanted to play EFP 3.0 with expedition reshade but couldnt get it to work :(
I found a mod that incorporates the graphics of Expedition 2.0 and EFP 3.0. It works great although not as good as the full modpacks graphics the difference is minor and barely noticeable.
@@xmedival34 In order to do that you have to disable and or uninstall the aggressor reshade included with EFP 3.0, and then download/install the " reshade only " version of Expedition 2.0.
@@xmedival34 yeh you can also try experimenting with other mods and shaders with efp and potentially get better graphics
downloaded Expedition 2.0, it looks amazing even without reshade. reshade is not doing much making it runs very smooth.

Curious, what did you use to record and what bitrate you encoded the video with? Asking, because high quality graphics are so easily artifacted by the video encoding at UA-cam end, but this is super high-quality All in all, great job highlighting a graphic mod!

Could you share your enhanced shaders setup as I understand there are corrected cube maps/per and number of tweaks to really make the modpack pop but I am used doing it in EFP/MO. Not sure how exactly how to get this based on your previous install guide.

I just wish they could supe up the AI of the companions and enemy AI to be a little better and more challenging. Sniper gameplay makes the AI trivial.

Do you run anything additional along with Expedition 2.0? Been trying to take bits from EFP myself for the entire day. Mostly just additional features. Still haven't been able to launch the game, so figure I'd ask. :)
Well not everything is compatible so just make sure u launch once or twice to make sure u aren't conflicting
@@yungapexdrilla7120 Thanks, thats what I am starting now.. Just annoying when you want as much from EFP as possible so you have to technically relaunch the game about 235 times.. Wish there was some easier way to do this. :)

Never tried the last command, it seems to work without it. Of course, you need DX10+ render selected in options.
If you have already done this, and the question is why with EXPEDITION or Enhanced Shaders during certain weather there are problems with anti-aliasing, especially on asphalt, then I can’t help here.
have they fixed the bugs on this modpack? i had to swap to efp cus expedition kept crashing once i got to the freedom base regardless of whatever fix i tried
i need help, water is completely broken for me using this mod, whenever i get close to water there is some wierd reflection bug or something where everything on the screen is doubled in some wierd distorted way...

Do npc's see through the grass? This looks amazing but if enemies just ignore the grass and shoot you a mile away it's not going to be very playable
You can downsize the grass to make it less tall
Just wondering, did you use any reshade filters at all when showcasing this? or did you turn the reshade preset off? Because I tried using your reshade preset in your older video on how to install expedition but it made everything look wayy too bright and over saturated, it was basically unplayable but when I toggle the reshade off it looks a lot better.

You said this gameplay is with “no filters and completely built in” but I didn’t know if that meant no reshade filters at all or no post editing filters or something because reshade does come built in. Hi! I want to run Expedition but a message sounds of Windows appears when I try to run the game. Tried to run like administration but doesn't work, tried to reinstall and I have the same problem. I can play Anomaly without errors but it's imposible to start Expedition, following the steps of installation. Any idea what could be the problem? 🤔

I’d imagine the re shade would be the only thing compatible
EFP 3.0 and GAMMA have Expedition 2.0 beat when it comes to included addons. I would honestly just use the reshade from Expedition and or use a mix of it and Prosperity reshade. The only other thing you need other than a re-shade and texture pack to get your Anomaly looking just as good if not better than Expedition 2.0 is the Enhanced Shaders and Screen Spaced Shaders. The majority of making Stalker Anomaly look " next gen " comes down to both using shader mods, and a reshade ontop and having your graphics settings as high as possible.

@@dvrktones I'd for sure look at pairing the " Enhanced Shaders " package with " Screen Spaced Shaders " , just assure you use the included compatibility patches so both play together nicely. Those two shader mods when paired with a reshade of your choice will meet or surpass the visuals on Expedition 2.0. The included Aggressor reshade that comes with EFP 3.0 is perfectly fine, however it is very high contrast and bright and was directly made to mimic Escape From Tarkov. I'd highly suggest looking into an alternative reshade to layer ontop of the aforementioned shader mods. What I did was I used the Prosperity reshade and then took the reshade from Expedition and added its additional reshade options ontop. That way I could use my preferred reshade ( Prosperity ) but also pick and choose some nice reshade options that were from the Prosperity reshade as well. Also don't forget that EFP 3.0 is stable, and you can personally revise it and expand upon it if you see fit. After I disabled all of the " Tarkov " related addons I took EFP down from 230 addons to about 200 flat. I then expanded upon that load order by adding 50-75 additional addons and doing extensive testing and functionality checking. Allowing me to have a more personalized Stalker Anomaly modpack. Always read the " readme " files and the mod descriptions on Moddb, and good luck!.

Can someone help, i cant open the reshade menu when i open anomaly. Ive tried reinstalling exactly like the video shows and changing the input that opens the menu.
Expedition looks good but it makes all the grass and leaves grainy and aliased compared to base anomaly where it all looks soft and clear. Anyone know what could cause this? It's at the point where base anomaly looks more pleasing just because of this issue :/ I've tried upscaling to no avail :(

I highly advise you to play the originals before anomaly, or at least one of them. Anomaly will ruin them otherwise due to the lack of features in the original trilogy.
hey mate I recommend you play the original trilogy. (though anomaly is a good way to start getting into s.t.a.l.k.e.r.) if you feel like the 2007 graphics and gameplay are too janky for you I recommend you play a standalone mod called radiophobia 3, which has the same story as shadow of chernobyl, as well as clear sky LFO for clear sky and the gunslinger mod for call of pripyat (gunslinger is not a standalone mod so you need to get the game first).

the ambience,the effects,all the abondened vehicles,out of the darkness of the bushes,the surrealness.a dreamless flight within the lines of fog.and the stalker,s muffled steps blending with the rain. as the stalker knows no grim steadily and effortlessly crossing hell and heaven. the dreadful aura misted the dark shady nights. no better way to describe it.

hey, I download the mod and I put it in the anomaly forder, I press extract here but it just copies a new anomaly expedition 2.0 folder. is there a way I can add the mod
download 7zip and select extract here not extract to..... if you cant do that, copy the contents of the extracted file and paste it into the anomally folder. click replace files

I’m not so sure.. I tried to download and install expedition, it seems like it’s missing content. And seems quite vanilla still. GAMMA seems to take the cake honestly

All expedition does is make the graphics nicer. Gamma changes the gameplay
@@Lobardan i was talking about the modpack but in all honesty, if you don't want to go as hard core as gamma or efp. Installing bas, a reshade, a trader rebalance, hd models and fdda goes a long way in making the game more enjoyable without installing 200-300 + mods... And it'd probably still beat expedition since it's buggy as all hell

I first started playing stalker and only downloaded expedition 2.0 and everything was going great until I needed to go to outskirts for living legend quest. It keeps crashing when loading into outskirts, doesn’t matter where I go in from, it’ll crash on loading screen. I saw on reddit that downloading HD models mod would help but still crashing. Any idea how to resolve?

Custer I gotta question do you use Beef’s NVGs, cause I cannot seem to get them to work with expedition. Every time I turn them on, it turns my screen blue then I can’t change it back. Even when starting a new game. Really anyone can help just thought I’d ask the man himself.
