What I love most about your videos is that your doing all this in a budget friendly shop and not with a bunch of fancy tools that most of us cant afford. Great build man!
great job as always Son, also Im loving the look of your temp rear wheel, Im sure the replacement wheel will look just as good if not better, hats off on a great new mod
Thats really looking good I've done the TC frame also im a welder by trade and beveled the pipes really well . Then took a 2 inch belt sander too make it look stock no weld joint .
I love those tires ! The Sporty I just got has got new tires but no tread . I live in the woods and park in the basement , if the grass has dew on it I can't get out of my yard . I never had this much problem with my FLH Dresser.
@@cdula26Why have something that looks like everyone else's?, the awesome part of building a chopper or a bobber is being able to utilize parts from other things to make it unique. Also the only one that really cares about what shirt you're wearing is you, lol.
@@BerserkerNick yeah I know what building a chopper is, I have a 78 shovelhead with a 24 over rigid front end, hard tail, downtube and backbone stretch, neck raked 55 degrees, painted by me, open chain primary, jockey shift, foot clutch, no front brake, king and queen seat built by me, handlebars made by me. Everything I’ve pretty much handmade on the bike. You wouldn’t catch me with twin cam badges or emblems on the tank lol. Sure using other bikes parts or whatever is cool but displaying amf on a non AMF bike is goofy lol.
Hey could you post your welder settings for the hardtail? Wire size, speed and voltage? Having trouble with my setup during practice. Thanks and great job on the build.
It looks like you used MIG welding instead of TIG, is that correct? If so, why did you choose that and have you had any problems with this approach? Trying to determine how I should weld my future project. Great video!
OMG, you're gonna change that rear wheel, I'm so happy. I hated that rear wheel. I hope that you change the front wheel for a slim 26" wheel. It will look really awesome. I can't wait to see you ride it at the next camp out. Cheers!
Great video thank you! In general is Mig preferred over Tig or does it not matter? I wanted to tig mine for a better looking weld but I’m not sure if it would penetrate as good as Mig…. Still learning welding. Thank you!
always do the rosette weld last to allow for gas's to expel while welding but if you did perfect & low brow & TC bro's sells a repackaged product ,meaning most of what they sell is the same parts that v twin manufacturing , mid usa m/c , drag specialties , midwest m/c & etc , sell Except they mark the price up higher than retail . Support your local chopper shop when you can & keep your money local but if there sending you free parts I understand ,lol.. , Keep up the good videos .
i'm working on my 1988 Sportster 1200 and i been wanting to weld a hardtail to it. i'll be going to the TC Bros website and check them out.great video 👍
Hey cool vid. I’m not very familiar with choppin n hardtaillin. how does jack up the back for the engine case off the frame check affect it? Does it shift the gravity? Im guessing in final state the cases don’t want to be touching? Thanks
Where do you get your weld on hardtail? And what bike do you recommend for a first time builder? I'm an experienced fabricator, mechanically inclined and a journeymen welder. Just looking for somwhere to start
That's the exact reason why I'm torn between lowbrow and Tc Bros. Love the axle plate and rear motor mount of lowbrow, but I hate the ascetics of the backbone to downtown.
You won’t see the downtube anyway if you use a horseshoe oil bag. The lowbrow kit and the throttle addiction kit will end looking tighter and more put together than a tcbros kit. I’ve built all 3 and other brands as well. I’d skip the tc kit if I were you.
brooo keep this back wheel or give it to me kkk!!! its crazy man, awesome. I'm lookin after one like this for my 2007 sporty. all closed, but i live in Brazil, and here its very, very expensive... and its hard to find.
Awesome progress Son! Been watching your videos for a while now and they are definitely inspirational. Would a mig welder work for these sort of chops? In would like to get a welder but want to get the right one for the type of metal for motorcycles.
I like it bro. Im from the north bay originally but if you need a awesome custom painter. Look up Kyle Martin in napa thats my brotha from a nother matha. Keep it up.
What I love most about your videos is that your doing all this in a budget friendly shop and not with a bunch of fancy tools that most of us cant afford. Great build man!
Super cool. Been thinking of doing a hardtail sporster and you did a good job at showing what is needed to be done.
great job as always Son, also Im loving the look of your temp rear wheel, Im sure the replacement wheel will look just as good if not better, hats off on a great new mod
Really nice video, the change in music was nice, great shots and explanations. It was actually a joy to watch!

CHOP CHOP!! Been waiting to see you do the conversion and see whats involved. Awesome
Did the same for my 2015 48... this is gonna look sick. Excited for the next video
Thanks for showing the process gonna be doing the same to my sporty soon
can't wait to see the finished product... I'm almost ready to chop my sportster now.
Love your endeavours, keep the videos coming you are an inspiration to me.
Excellent video, very informative and a quality job. Thanks for posting.
Ordered it today from you guys. For my 2001 883. Can’t wait. I’ve got to get that kick start and the hammer kit in and I’ll be ready.
I liked the relaxing music . Great job on this frame. Thanks

This is on my wish list! Thank you for the video! Love the project!
Hell yae. got my tc bro hardtail on my sporty this weekend. was not bad looks great
Awesome. Can't wait to see the finished product. Keep the Vids coming!
good video man! I'm considering building a bobber after I finish my current project. Glad to see the TC Bros rear frame fit so well.
Yes!!! finally spectacle for the eyes...!! great.
Wow.....You are a great teacher in Chopping 101.
It's coming together. Gonna be a nice little chop.
Good job. This will be what I do next time around, instead of buying a Paugcho frame. Much easier to get registered this way. Be Safe. Guy Speight
When do you think you’ll share the next video? I can’t wait, I want to see another part 😅 you Rock!! Greetings from Costa Rica
I love those tires ! The Sporty I just got has got new tires but no tread . I live in the woods and park in the basement , if the grass has dew on it I can't get out of my yard . I never had this much problem with my FLH Dresser.
I noticed the old AMF tank at the beginning of the video and immediately said "ooh I hope he uses that tank"
But it’s not a AMF bike 😂 I have a shovel head why would I ride around with a shirt on with a road glide on the back of it lol

Tig weld.
There is no other option in my book.
You looked like pro, cut that bike in half. I have never modified a bike like that, very interesting to watch. Enjoyed it.
nice job brother! something i also wanted to do to my 883 but never had the time or the balls lol , looks mint !

Great job brah, wow. U got me wanting to but.mann once I make that cut, no turning back.
Stay rigid!!!!
You can always swap your shit back to a swingarm frame. Chop away brother
Nice job Mr. LNSPLT! Real quality work my man, be safe out there brother! Dave from Rhode Island
Bruh that seemed way easier than I thought. Now I'm not so afraid to do this myself someday.
Awesome man! Loving this build already!
Awesome I’ve been waiting for one of y’all to do a hardtail sporty.
Thanks man. Amazing work like always.

I think you do a awesome job! I am old and need the shocks on my 1983 FXWG.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing the progress
Pretty sweet and you made it look easy , Bravo

Hope I can do the same thing once by myself here in Indonesia, such a great beauty.

Hey what size/type wire are you running in the video? Thanks!

thanks for the tip about the Rosette weld! didn't know that. I'm not a welder by trade so any advice is greatly appreciated

I been waiting for this video, Man I'm Loving this build, man you killing it Bro. Looking forward to more!
Awesome video as always. 👍
I’m not a welder but am curious if mig welding the frame works just fine instead of needing to tig weld it
Hey whats up I followed the same steps tho my frame moved slightly about 1/8 in do you think thats a huge deal? Would have to recut ect. To square up
What welder are you using for welding on the hard tail and the rest of your fab work?
Hey cool vid. I’m not very familiar with choppin n hardtaillin. how does jack up the back for the engine case off the frame check affect it? Does it shift the gravity? Im guessing in final state the cases don’t want to be touching? Thanks
It’s coming along nicely!
Yepper I buy mot of the parts for my Kz750 I bought my unassembled rear frame section from TC bros the quality of the parts was great.

Beautiful work Son!
great job man, what is your welder set up?
That's the exact reason why I'm torn between lowbrow and Tc Bros. Love the axle plate and rear motor mount of lowbrow, but I hate the ascetics of the backbone to downtown.
I also love the electronics tray that Tc Bros offers with their hardtail kit.

Love the vids. Can’t wait to see this finished.
Great work bro. I'm a fan!
Love ur viedo . I got to get another Sportster to do this hard tail
Love your videos, the bike is already looking badass
Belleza de moto, ojalá algún día pueda andar en una
Is this one gunna be a jockey shift like ur other builds?
I don’t plan on it but who knows might change my mind later
Nice work dude
Keep the awesome videos coming
What setting did you use on the welder wire speed and voltage I have a Hobart handler 210 with gas. Thanks for your time
@@chopsimpson6844 it depends on the thickness of the metal. Also every machine is different
@ 1/8”
why did you drill the frame after cutting, i didn't see where you used the holes, you fitted the frame and went to welding?
Gonna be badass. Really enjoy your videos
nice project, keep on good working!

Awesome, what welder are you using for your build?
I’m in process of doing the same thing. What oil tank did you use after the conversion?
Try and ride out for the El Diablo Run with us!!!
I’ve been waiting for this all day. First comment
Dope dope dope video man, this bike is going to be amazing
What size front wheel and tire is that. Looks good
looks like it went together pretty quick
Took 2 days lol
Very talented young man
Why didn’t you paint the frame after welding it? Just curious, looks great!
Still gotta weld on the fender brackets, sissy bar brackets and etc. Frame is gonna get powder coat when I’m done with welding
Looks so sick!
How powerful is that welder bro much love for your vids man
Tc bros hardtail does look better, both lowbrow and tc bros are great company's though, always got quality shit from them
Is that a 3/4 or 1/2 pipe you're using as frame?
Can I weld this with a 110 flux core welder? Will it hold?
What wire mig did you run? What heat settings?
