    Ivan hey Tom Boswell here I spoke with you on the phone, anyway I just got the treadle to finally do what it's supposed to, I just don't see my hand piece hitting hard enough could it be just in the handpiece itself? It's a hand piece ordered off of Amazon. The cheapest I could find I think. I'm sure you know the one.anyway I used my own piston and don't have a spring in there with it.??????? I'm close but ????? Any way the treadle is bad ass works great I like it. You're awesome thanks for your help.

I’ve had this one about 16-18 Years now and it’s still going strong. Sorry about not responding sooner. I just found out that people were commenting. Just got a smart phone.

    A little off topic but something you said at the end of the video made me wonder...if you build a frame completely from scratch do you have to get some kind of special documentation if you intend to register/tag/ride it on the street?

      $150 for labor plus the cost of the hardtail and shipping. So $549.99+shipping. :)

    I take my frames to my local monument company for sand blasting before working on them. They all use blasters to cut names and dates on grave stones and nearly all do blasting on the side for cash. No paint, no rust, no Bondo, no problem.

  • @GraveyardKing666
    @GraveyardKing666 12 років тому

    I'm the one who brought to the attention of HIH that the hard tail doesn't mount up to the '79 through '81 frames the same way as shown in this video. When I hard tailed my 1980 XLS we had to fabricate a new back bone to get the hard tail to fit correctly. This is due to the stock rear section meeting up the back bone higher than the earlier years, and that section where you cut is ovaled (This is the factory design), so the hard tail back bone slug won't fit in the tube.

Bump them out I guess. however, not knocking it still seen crazyer builds from 80's to spend2000's. my chop would take more time on frame don't wot to over heat tube. it could crack when cooling down or tube change readings .
