I don’t think Yoda’s faking it with the cane. I think he’s not just using the Force to speed himself up, he’s using it to breathe flexibility into his limbs. He’s Yoda - a totally empty vessel to be filled by the Force, but only when he needs.
Necroing your comment but you're on the money. Yoda constantly talks about letting go. If he is not fighting, he probably just accepts he's getting slower and slower. Cane? Normal thing about life. No vanity, pride or ego. Just someone in tune.
In nearly 2 seconds, Yoda had done 4 spins. 2 Horizonal at ground level, and two jumping vertical, at shoulder level. Anakin had no idea what happened, before he was thrown into the Lava, all limbs completely severed.
You forgot the legions of clones still killing Jedi at this point, a massive win for sure but until a new chancellor was chosen the clones I’d imagine would still be a hell of a force to deal with
I totally agree with this “theory” playing out this way. I always thought it was a huge mistake to send Obi-Wan after either of them single handedly. I cant even imagine yoda making that grave of a tactical error.
Probably would’ve been best to tag team the emperor. That way they could remain on Coruscant afterward where they’d be able to take control of the clone army to stop the slaughter of Jedi and reform the galactic senate under temporary control of the Jedi Order. Anakin would be a problem for another day. He was dispatching the separatists and not a threat to the Jedi at that particular moment.
Here's the thing tho: Obi-Wan went of his own accord, viewing Anakin as his own responsibility because he was the one who trained him. And besides, he hoped against hope to bring Anakin back. Yoda would have simply been an executioner, as would have any other Jedi besides Obi-Wan. Because Obi-Wan believed in Anakin when NO ONE else would

I think the reason Obi-Wan didn’t stop Anakin from choking Padmé, was because he wanted Anakin to do it himself in hopes of bringing him back to the light side. Yoda on the other hand wouldn’t have been so certain on this point and would have taken more instant action as you described. However you really ought to do a sequel to this, where Vader escapes and Obi-Wan and Luke have to track him down.
I think the reason Obi-Wan didn't Intervene Sooner when Anakin was choking Padme is because he wanted Anakin to stop on his own. He probably still wanted to see if there was a glimmer of good in him.

Because a double attack one Sith would alert the other one to the Jedi’s survival. Either Palpatine or Anakin can surround themselves with an army of troopers, taking away the Jedi’s advantage of fighting an opponent alone with no interference or backup. Plus both Sith are vulnerable when they’re separated and isolated and it’s smarter to take them out at the same time.

Revenge of the Sith is amazing, no complaints, do people probably have issues with it? Probably. But it’s perfect to me lol
The reason for Obi Wan not pushing at Anakin would be that doing so would likely break Padme's neck. Anakin was choking her with the force, not with his hand so force push could have caused her neck to snap, as it would not break the hold but just suddenly shift it. Padme would still die in this because Anakin would have still been a Sith and that is why she lost the will to live.
I dont think she would die, because she would be able to see him and he would be almost in his intact form just with new feet. It would be a completely different story if he was there as his mutilated form from the end of the actual fight between him and obiwan
SIDIOUS killed her. He used the force to give her life to an akin. He planted those dreams in his mind and drove him to the dark side. She didn’t die because of that. She died because sidious was draining the life out of her for an akin.
@@ammo7276 That completely voids Vader's character though. His whole thing is hating himself for everything he's done, top of the list killing his wife. What I like to think is Obi-wan demands Anakin let her go. It was his choice to let go, eventually.
@@Kairac112 but all the Evil things he did were when he turned to the dark side. He killed the young, the jedi, his wife. Before he started getting close to palpatine he was well on his way to possibly becoming a master. (even though i dont think he would have gotten that rank for a long time). There is plenty of theories of palpatine draining the life out of padme to save anakin from dying. He should have died when he was burned in lava. But he didn't? Why would that be? Did palpatine force heal anakin? Palpatine was to far away for that. Sure he was well connected to the force and it was possible he force healed anakin. She did die full of sadness, regret, and possibly hate. But there is a lot of evidence showing palpatine drained the life out of padme to help keep anakin alive long enough so he could bring him to his ship and fix him. I believe Luke would be instrumental in Anakin's getting out of prison, whether that be by facilitating his escape (prior to becoming a Jedi Master) or by lobbying the Jedi Council (after he has become a Jedi Master). Luke has always had a soft spot for his father and if he was able to believe Vader still had good in him, he'd sure believe the same about an Anakin that hasn't committed atrocities on nearly on the same scale as Vader. By that time, I figure Qui-Gon would have reached out to counsel Anakin as well.
Many have asked: "Even with Sidious and Vader dead, how do Yoda et al reverse Order 66 and the Empire?" Well there would be a power struggle for sure. But, if Yoda and Kenobi, working with Organa and a large block of Senators could prove Sidious was behind starting the War, the could easily sway the Senate into passing a resolution reestablishing the Republic and electing a new Chancellor in place of whatever succession plan Palpatine left... That legitimate Chancellor, with the Senate and most of the civil service, and remnants of the Jedi, may be persuasive enough to rally most of the former Republic to the Senate. The Moffs, if they had been established and in power in their systems/sectors that quickly might object and fight, but they would face emboldened planetary governments that were not fully dismantled yet. Mas Amada, if he fled, might try to claim power from somewhere, but I doubt he carries much support. The Clone Army's attitude is hard to discern with Palpatine dead. Would they follow Tarkin and the admiralty? Do certain generals/admirals enter the fray with their own claims to power, or simply seize systems within their immediate grasp? Ultimately we might see a civil war between forces led by the Senate, and probably a majority of the Republic, versus various military factions, big and small, as well small-scale separatism led by Moffs or their own governments. And that doesn't really take into account the large CIS forces still in the field that could easily be reactivated and the unconquered CIS systems. So, long and short, it could become a very messy, multi-factional civil war... and the CIS itself might all of a sudden find itself defeated one day, and the strongest single faction in a new civil war the next.
Palpatine had the senate so under his grip that I don’t think they would’ve been able to sway the public away from him. The Jedi were enemies of the republic and were already seen as the villains in the eye of the public.
Seeing theory's ending, it cements how most of us think the Yuuzhan Vong would have been a better sequel Antagonist. Or in my case, a dangerous Sith from the distant past coming back in a Yhwach-like prophecy.
Slave 1 … ig-2000, hounds tooth , punishing one. They had good names in the early to mid 90’s . I guess now you can’t say “ slave” in a totally made up universe.
Theory's fan fictions are always amazing and I could watch these for hours. As always I definitely want to see a part to this story. The end to this video is hilarious.
If I recall, some of the original script of Revenge of the Sith depicted Padmé participating in the early stages of rebellion against the new Empire, as well as a moment where she nearly assassinated Anakin. So for a future fanfiction idea, I would love to see your thoughts on how the story would go down if Padmé and Anakin lived on, to be on opposite ends of the conflict, with Padmé raising Luke and Leia as a prominent figure in the Rebellion and Anakin going on to become the much feared Darth Vader.
Anakin was too much of a creep obsessed with Padme to go against her. Palpatine would of been killed by Anakin then instead in Episode 3 probably stabs him through the back with his lightsaber in the fight against a confronting Mace Windu and the other Jedi after Palpatine mows them all down as he did. Then also Mace may of not of been thrown out the Windu and he will forever now have eternal respect for Anakin instead of the obvious disdain he had for him in a more rival esque fashion.
I have a suggestion, instead of Anakin escaping, either have the Jedi having very little option but to release him under the condition that if he helped them his punishment would be reduced. Or his son breaks him out or something.
I sort of like the idea of Luke committing a jail break for the sake of his father, although I don't know why he would do it. Maybe he becomes jaded in this timeline, too
Question: With an ending like this...what do you think Ahsoka would do? Do you think she'd head back to Courasant to see who of her former allies survived? Or if she learned Anakin had children? Or would she continue to do her own thing elsewhere in the galaxy?
I dont think Anakin would escape ever knowing that his family is alive and well. He would accept his crimes and lay imprisoned until the invasion. The Jedi would definitely need the chosen one for this war…
This one is good but I like the “what if Anakin didn’t take a seat” better. The changes I’d make in this one or the areas I don’t quite agree on are how Anakin goes to jail and stays there. The way it would actually go is forgiveness, of course. The Jedi could never trust Anakin the same way. At least not for a long time, but at the end of the day, Palpatine is gone and the sith are defeated. No need to have him in prison. It would be more like “we need to watch this dude and keep him with us because he a wild card and we can’t afford to just let him go.”The good would resume. If Palpatine can corrupt him, the Jedi can rehabilitate him.
I don't usually listen or watch videos of this manner, but this was amazing! I completely agree with everything said here and even laughed at the exegol gag. I am a follower of anakin and his beliefs but, as I said previously, this was amazing and I agree with all of it!
I really think Padme would still love and want Anakin back, even the Jedi may forgive Anakin knowing that the dark side is responsible and Anakin would more than likely return to the light after seeing Padme survived and didn't in fact die during child birth
The Jedi don't believe in grudges or vengeance. The Jedi Council never cared about the lives of younglings to begin with, as evidenced by their dispassionate response to Asoka's report on herself and a dozen other padowans being abducted by pirates and hunted recreationally. The Council just said the Force was testing them and ignored the clan of padowan hunting pirates. Sadly enough, the Council probably *would* value redeeming one remorseful Annakin more than the lives of the countless younglings he slaughtered.
@@bodaciouschad Idk man. Yoda and especially Obi were clearly devastated at the kids being killed. Obi went to mustafar to defeat Anakin, not try to get him to apologize

The whole "losing will to live" is the worst character development GL was responsible for. We all agree the Disney Galaxy is for the most part trash, but GL was no saint either.
@@meeshmosh2000 There's actual case of people dying like that in our reality. It's called Psychogenic death and they're not necessarly related to health problems, sometimes even people with a good health dies because they loose the will of living. On top of that having the kids of this guy and you, being the sole reason of all of this. Yeah, you would pretty much loose the will to live.
Love this alternative story. Only question is wouldn't the clones still be an issue? Just bc the emperor was killed, wouldn't the clones still be under order 66?
In the Star wars: the clone wars you can see in the end that all clones have some sort of tumor in their brain so that they would listen to palpatine, but without palpatine they would be some sort of clueless living beings. Like droids with a working program, but without a purpose. They wouldn't be a problem and would probably just wander arround.
See that is most don't realize is that most Clones still had those chips in them. So yes if Yoda and Obi-Wan had beaten them they might have won.....but they in a sense would still have lost because many of the Jedi were already killed by the Clones...those who managed to somehow survive were in hiding or on the run and the Jedi Order itself was more or less all but destroyed and scattered to the wind.
This has to be a new favorite of mine, and I know I say that a lot, but I just adore how you perfectly capture the characters and styles of each. I’d love to see a part 2 covering the vuuzong vong war with Anakin redeeming himself and saving the galaxy as the Chosen One.
This was a great video! I’m glad they used Obi wan in the movie because the brother-like relationship brought extra emotion to the fight. I’m glad they didn’t use Yoda to dominate Anakin, but this was super exciting to watch and imagine! You do a great job at bringing the videos the life.
I still wonder if it wasn't for order 66 if yoda could have beaten sidious. It appeared to me that yoda was stronger than Palpatine but lost due to the situation. That scene with Palpatine tossing those senate pods to me was one of the most revealing feats for yoda . Stopping that pod while sidious was pushing it then sent it back so fast that he barely missed having a close encounter with a flying saucer, and the force lightning clash . It was almost like yoda , when being pushed back slightly was like " suprise I'm stronger than you " while leaning back in to the clash before physics was like " aww hell naw , we can't have this , suprise " off you go .
How would a temple-trained Luke compare to Anakin? On the one hand, he probably wouldn't be as battle hardened as his father, but he would have the advantages of an informed Yoda, a mature Obi Wan, a better early childhood, training from the proper age, and - I think - being a better student. While Anakin was criticized pretty often for relying too heavily on his natural ability, Luke managed to reach his potential despite starting a decade later than his father (who already started late). Something else Luke would have is an equal in Leia, which Anakin never really got. Everyone who could beat him did so through skill and experience, which is partly why Anakin always looked to become more powerful: it would make him unstoppable. Ultimately, I think Temple Luke vs RotS Anakin would swing in Luke's favor. A more interesting question is Temple Luke vs Full Potential Vader - the Sith Lord that killed Obi Wan on Mustafar and killed Palpatine two decades later (since he never lost his three remaining limbs). That would be a fight to behold!
I’d still give Anakin the edge even over a temple trained Luke. Anakin’s ceiling was just so high, the sky was practically the limit. Luke was very powerful in his own right, but all things being considered equal otherwise, I would have to give it to his father. Not only does he have a lot more experience in real lightsaber duels, but he also has the highest force potential of any being in the universe. It would be very close either way though. Now Suitless Darth Vader vs Luke just wouldn’t be fair. I don’t think even Sidious could’ve stopped suitless Vader, which is why I feel like he somehow planned for Anakin to end up in that suit one way or the other.
anakin is simply too powerful to consider him in any fights where he's at his full potential. full potential anakin would basically be able to ragdoll sidious and Yoda at the same time considering what he did to the son and daughter on mortis, who are basically the sole embodiments of the force in dark and light. full potential anakin is quite literally > the gods of the star wars universe. now Revenge of the sith anakin specifically? yeah he'd still have the advantage over temple trained Luke. regardless of his training, he would still be getting trained by the old and feeble Yoda and obi wan.. he simply would not and could not receive the lightsaber training to even defend against anakin properly. alls Luke would aquire in his lightsaber training is knowledge. he wouldn't get any real practice. anakin is one of the most seasoned veteran duelists of the clone wars, and is one of the top duelists of the clone wars, and is THE master of his preferred lightsaber form. as Rex said, in his book, experience outranks everything. RoTS anakin would blitz temple trained Luke. Luke is simply from a post-war Era. the cycle of generations goes like this: hard times create strong men, strong men create easy times, easy times create weak men, weak men create hard times. anakin lived his childhood and young adult life In a war, and during a time of great warriors. after this war ended and these warriors died out and were no longer needed, we get weaker warriors/fighters in the form of Luke, Rey, kylo ren, old ben kenobi. the less impressive duels of the original trilogy can basically be explained by the fact that duelists of Luke's time are pushovers compared to anakins time.
I do not think padme would've left him behind. She knew there was still good in him on the original timeline. I do not think that changed.Great video though!
“What If?” could so easily be made into a Star Wars movie/Trilogy/TV series. We’d all watch, the possibilities endless. Start with Darth Ridicule (Jar Jar).
I love this theory, I believe that after Anakin explains his reasoning for trusting Palatine and how he tried to explain the visions to Obi Wan he had about his mother dying, then that came to past, then having the same visions about Padma, he was willing to do anything to save her. I believe that The Jedi Council should put Anakin on like a trial period. Exclusive training, meditation and guidance from The Jedi Council due to Obi-Wan not being a great fit to properly train Anakin
Duder! That was AWESOME SAUCE! Man though, you had me at the end when you said "until the Emperor rises again from Exegol..." I was going to roll my eyes, but you stopped yourself - LOL! This was an awesome What If. Thank you for all of your hard work and love for Star Wars.
Idk, I feel like yoda would have sensed the good still in Anakin. Obi Wan almost coerced Anakin back to the light but reacted in anger when he said the Jedi are evil causing them to continue fighting. I think yoda could have brought him back to the light.
While a part of me agrees, I feel like Yoda wouldn't take that risk, considering the entire Order died. Even Yoda has feelings. I think here they may lead to him deeming Anakin irredeemable.

That way they could remain on Coruscant afterward where they’d be able to take control of the clone army to stop the slaughter of Jedi and reform the galactic senate under temporary control of the Jedi Order.

The Jedi would go back to Kamino for a way to reverse Order 66. I’m sure there was another failsafe installed in them.

Palpatine was one handing pods and tossing them like popcorn. Also the darkside has no self limitations. He was stronger.
This is my favorite “What If”, so far!
Luke is simply from a post-war Era. the cycle of generations goes like this:
hard times create strong men, strong men create easy times, easy times create weak men, weak men create hard times.
anakin lived his childhood and young adult life In a war, and during a time of great warriors. after this war ended and these warriors died out and were no longer needed, we get weaker warriors/fighters in the form of Luke, Rey, kylo ren, old ben kenobi.
the less impressive duels of the original trilogy can basically be explained by the fact that duelists of Luke's time are pushovers compared to anakins time.
Nah, Luke aint fuckin with annakin lol
@@n.b.l.5709 It’s cannon that Luke in his prime is the strongest Jedi ever, so yes he would.
@@Jake-pm3pz snooze 😆 thats not what was seen in the movies
Nah, he k!lled kids
While a part of me agrees, I feel like Yoda wouldn't take that risk, considering the entire Order died. Even Yoda has feelings. I think here they may lead to him deeming Anakin irredeemable.
@@mr206gohawks8 Obi-Wan did attempt to talk Anakin down.
“I have failed you Anakin I have failed you”
Then the begin to discuss chancellor Palpatine to which Anakin insults Kenobi’s religion.
Causing Kenobi to just completely give up on his padawan with 1 final
“YOU ARE LOST”
Nah yoda would be more ruthless then obiwan
@@CaptainDrumm15 Yoda has never been ruthless in his entire history, he’s patient calm and collected. He definitely could’ve talked Anakin down from the Dark side.
Should make a part 2, that was actually pretty sick. Anakin escaping and converting Luke, or something along those lines.
I really appreciate you mentioned the youzhang vong, which was by far my favourite book series. And I was always hoping for this to made into a motion picture.
I'd love to see a fanfic where "what if Anakin was younger when he was discovered or what if he was discovered at a younger age by the Jedi?"
I truly respect kenobi he truly has made a name for himself through hard work and dedication
I don’t know if you need to hear this. But Thank you so much star wars theory for all the work you put into these. You are a master story teller and I am very appreciative.
This was such a good story! I look forward to Part 2 where the Yuuzhan Vong take entrance and Anakin is a hardened ex-con with more Sith hatred than Maul!!
"Skywalker is arguably the most powerful Jedi alive, and he is still getting stronger."
Source: Revenge of the Sith
He would get bodied by Yoda is said arguably that does not mean he is that means you can argue that is Yoda or mace was the strongest
@@10xyourlife65 What do you mean get bodied the fact its a argument shows you he won't
@@Redoren966 you can be in the argument and still get bodied Obi-Wan held his own against Anakin Obi-Wan cannot hold his own against Yoda for a long time
@@10xyourlife65 Obi-wan is outright stated to beat a hungry and conflicted Skywalker. Not a prime Anakin hell Anakin before turning to the dark side was stronger than Obi-wan that is something Dooku and Obi-wan mentioned
@@Redoren966 yes because Anakin never reached his prime if Anakin hit his full potential nobody would beat him mace could potentially be him just because of his style but that's only if Anakin's on the dark side.
You took that in an entirely different direction than I was expecting. When I saw the title to the video my thoughts went to Yoda killing Anakin, and the fight with Palpatine never happening.( that would also be a possibility I'd like to see you explore). I really like where you took it. Keep up the good work.👍
I would like to think in this scenario, imprisoned Anikan would be a Hannibal Lector type figure once the Yuuzhan Vong invaded, potentially the wildcard Luke would seek information and advice from.
Amazing how much one character can change a whole storyline
Love this story, the battles would be so awesome to watch! Would love to see it. Also your character voices are on point 👌
i feel that Padme would have a role in all of this, maybe she took Anakin when no one was looking
I always feel bad for Anakin because I want him to win and get what he wants and deserves but at the same time he did many bad things.
I think the jedi would have asked him to join them if he apologized or was able to convince them they were really one-sided and that they indirectly caused order 66.
Also padme I think would have still loved Anakin because even in Revenge of the Sith movie she still believes that he is good and she still loves him. So I think she would still love him and try to help him.
Just some of my thoughts. Great vid
Na Anakin Doesn’t deserve shit. When he killed a room full of kids I lost all respect for him.
@@christianjohnson2275 😂😂😂
@@aymendehayni1476 at least you get it lol
Anakin destroyed himself he was to weak to resist sidious influence and his own insecurities. You think a guy who kills a village of Tuskens and younglings deserves anything?
@@ricardosoto5750 Well I mean he does feel remorse and does cry after doing it. I mean he was not taught well beforehand to control his emotions so when he saw his mother die he burst and exploded with his rage taking control.
He desevred a better teacher and also a but more leniency.
I love discussing the pros and cons of different lightsaber forms, and I completely agree with your take re: Sidious v. Yoda/Obi-Wan. Kenobi's mastery of Form III would perfectly compliment Yoda's style against an aggressive opponent like Sidious. Too bad they didn't take this approach canonically.
Thanks for the great video!
You're voice acting improved a lot!
Greatly enjoy these what if’s from ya. Haven’t had much faith in Star Wars lately but you still make it entertaining
Your Yoda and Anakin voices are so spot on!
*Yes you finally do my favourite What if. Been thinking about this for years. Please animate this Theory. Please*
9:59 I couldn’t help but laugh at that description. It makes Palpatine sound like he gets easily bored with his Emperor duties.
14:28 I got confused for a brief second, wondering where you were going with this.
The voices are beyond good!
You're getting really good at these and I'm looking forward to more! Great work Theory!
