This is probably how it would have played out in the canon. Anakin was powerful, even after turning to the Dark Side, but Yoda was Grandmaster of the Jedi Order for a reason. They were in completely different leagues.
I mean, I know Yoda lived a poor life in a swamp and everything, but certainly one of his friends in the Rebellion could have gotten him a rocket launcher, right? Would've made this whole situation much simpler. Seems like a missed opportunity. Also, Vader only got his arms and legs cut off, not his balls. Why wasn't Yoda taking some gratuitous crotch shots? Seriously, he's 3 feet tall, and Vader isn't that nimble. Another missed opportunity. No wonder the good guys lose so much....
As an outsider / someone who doesn't play or normally watch gameplay, I kind of agree that this wasn't very entertaining to watch. I get that everything has a proper strategy, and I also get the fact that I'm incredibly ignorant about the game. I don't know the mechanics of the game, so I don't know what was impressive or not. As an outsider looking in, I don't know what Vader could've / should've done to progress the match in his favor. I can't speak for everyone, obviously, but I can imagine two very defensive players waiting for the other to make the move is very boring to watch and I don't get the full understanding of who is more skilled. I understand that patience is important. I don't know. I don't mean to come off as condescending, ridiculing, or anything like that. I'm simply like a kid looking at something and being confused. I was hesitant to even make a comment, because I generally feel like, "Who asked", ya know. I didn't expect what I saw, and I would agree that it looked like he left out of boredom, and mild frustration. I would say though that you do seem to know what you're doing / what's meta. If you understood this game you would know why this is entertaining and the skill level I just displayed. The character I had was weaker in every metric so I had to play defensive to win. If he was good he would’ve punished me more and pressured more. Also I wasn’t even that defensive, did you see how low I got his health? If I was only playing defense I wouldn’t have taken that much damage I was literally about to kill him before he quit. He knew he was about to die that’s why he left. I enjoyed the clip. I usually spend half the time with dash strikes and then when their energy is just under half, i go for counters and hits from behind. More times than not it ensures the win
Who did I insult? I didn’t insult anybody. And the gameplay wasn’t boring. If you know the game and are familiar with the mechanics it was a masterful display. One of the weakest characters in game making the strongest character in game rage quit when he was about to lose.

Defensive play styles can be easily countered by aggressive play style if you know how to parry and hook swing. Vader can easily pressure more and deal more damage than Yoda and he has more health and can recover more damage and has faster swing speed plus more damage reduction when he uses his middle ability, if I don’t play defensive I lose
It’s actually very fun to play. You should try it. The game wasn’t really designed for 1v1 Saber combat. The game was designed for mainly large scale battles and the other modes.

I like the lightsaber effects and sfx and the banter between the two characters but you don’t think yoda has the advantage? I never played these starwars battlefronts just the classics but I remember in the original starwars battlefront 2 I always hated fighting yoda as he is smaller, he had a smaller hit box/target so I was literally swinging at the floor. He should have less health or something to balance that. Also I hated his fighting style in Clone wars movie. A master does not jump around exerting energy like that so I feel they dropped the ball on that one. Good video.

Definitely not the best Yoda player. Yoda is the most OP character in the game, but only if you know how to play him right. You can do a normal dash through your opponent, and then a dash attack when you're behind them. With the right star cards you can chain this 3 times in a row, and take out half of your opponents health without risking any damage. All you do in this video is hiding behind your block

And no thank you, hiding behind your block for entire rounds doesn’t take much skill. Hookswings, parries and knowing how to exploit the mechanics of the game makes for an interesting duel.

there is only offense and defense in 1v1 match, if they were both to go offense yoda would be decimated quickly, plus he was going for openings when he saw them, its vader's fault for not trying to find counters, and fyi vaders are not easy to take down especially maxxed player ones so his strategy was prob one of his only choices
Yoda, as the others have pointed out, can be vulnerable to punishment for relying too heavily on aggression. As powerful as he is, his lack of size would force him into fighting in ways that may not seem to work but do anyway. Everyone fights their own way to win on their terms, be it him, Dooku, Vader, Luke, etc. You can't force them all to fight the same way and expect to win every time.
It was quite fun for me. It's just the dashes make Jedi and Sith look like they are skating sometimes and difficult to follow until you actually play the game enough. It seems like a dodge or a brief dash for offensive or defensive purposes.
