    Looks like a motorcycle without an engine.

    I like the layed down water bottle. Not a fan of disc on road. Also like no seat tube thing. If there is nothing there there is no drag

      Do you know if Cervelo is still using 1 1/8" & 1 3/8" head tube bearings on the P5X ( head tube looks like a baseball bat thick ) as they do in the S & R models or have they gone larger??

    Could this be considered "tech doping?"

    • @ThetriguyYT
      @ThetriguyYT  8 років тому +1

      +groovydoo I don't think so, everything is 100% legal for triathlon. Very different story for cycling/time trial though.

      Panagiotis Pappas are you a dumbass it's not just because there is no seat tube that it took 3 years it's the hole design and aerodynamics first do some research before you make such dumb statements 👌🏼

    Why do TT and triathlon bikes needs more braking power?

  • @brucewayne3141

    Lots of rooms for a motor. U dont even have to conceal the battery in a water bottle. It's so roomy u can fit it in the tubes!!!

    how fast can it go on a flat paved terrain,thats what I want to know from every new bike..I got very strong legs by the way so pushing it's limits it's not an issue,so tell me,How fast can it go????😈😈😈😈

    too much costly

  • @simonrano8072

    So much effort on frame shape for little gains and then you put disc brakes on it.... Are triathlete so arrogant they need disc brakes ? They think they are too fast for rim brakes ?
    I alway see Tri guys with super fancy aero TT bikes with 5 cm of stack under the cockpit because they prefer being comfy killing all aero advantage from the frame

    • @Tizzledk
      @Tizzledk 8 років тому

      I think thats because people have to run afterwards....this is a bike for the pros right now me thinks....or those who have lots of disposable income...anywho is a compromise between aero and comfort you can be really aero and than waddle of the bike because you can't run or you can say maybe I don't need to lower my bar 2cm/1 inch more so I can run that marathon.

    • @xGshikamaru
      @xGshikamaru 8 років тому

      Simon Rano it's because rim brakes and carbon rims don't go along very well, it's actually a poor design because carbon isn't good at dispersing heat. And carbon clincher with rim brakes is a no-go even though marketing tries to tell you it's okay now. Also rim brakes create a lot of turbulence unless they are integrated which then makes them a pain in the ass to set up. Long story short, it's not about braking performance.

    • @simonrano8072
      @simonrano8072 8 років тому

      xGshikamaru carbon clincher breaking is a smaller issue nowdays and remain a problem mainly during long mountain descentes exactly were this bike is useless. there is enough space in the stores to carry pre glued tubs that are easier to change for trained persons. Finally triathletes are pretty shit at aero stuff. they purchase 5 W on the frame 10 W on the wheelset, 2 W on the tyres etc. and then waste 50 W with a 10 cm of front stack and none aero position despite aerobars. A road pro rider can achieve much more aero position on UCI legal TT bike, event on a standard road bike. They like fancy equippment but they barely used it correctly. This bike is the quintescence of triathlon state of mind

    • @xGshikamaru
      @xGshikamaru 8 років тому +1

      Simon Rano that's because the needs are different. On a cycling TT you can afford to sacrifice a bit of comfort for more aero, because 1) it's shorter, typically less than an hour while a half ironman is at least twice as long and 2) you don't have to run afterwards. Get off your high horse, it's not that one kind of athlete is superior to another, they just don't have the same needs. Also, when you are in a triathlon you're on your own with no support to give you said spare tubular tube. You need to change it yourself, a few inner tubes can easily fit into the compartments of this bike, a tubular tube I wouldn't bet on it. So if you get a puncture or two mid-race your race is pretty much over, like Normann Stadler in 2005 at Kona...

      xGshikamaru I once ride a 70.3 on a clip on aerobars, super shallow rims, with a aggressive position. No issue on comfort, im use to ride low front. I lost the count of fancy bikes I passed that were averaging lower than 30 kmh. Every climb was a massacre amongs TT bikes and they were never seen again on aferwards flat sections. Swapping tubs in pretty fast when you now how to do it. Most of Tri guys has a little cycling background and they are easy target for fancy useless upgrades
