It's crazy to me that Kirk Cousins and Aaron Rodgers are older than Russ Wilson and haven't done anything in the past few years but they are not washed up but Russ is?...Russ is a good game manager and that's all the Steelers need to make a true playoff push

They both don’t rely on their athleticism to get the job done. Cousins was having a good year before he got hurt and Rodgers didn’t even play.

It’s about the fact that Rodger’s was hurt and didn’t play last year but last time he did in (2022) he played better than Russ and Kirk has been playing way better than Russ not sure why he was brought up but anyways Russ’s last two years haven’t been good 2 years ago he was straight trash last year mediocre. Ben stayed 5 years too long, Pickett is a backup QB. Idk what this "failed to develop" comes from? Other QB died and another QB that is a backup tried his best to be a backup in Mitch.

@dpayne3646 Listen any time that is picking 20th or lower in the draft you are taking a chance if that first pick is a QB...you saw in this draft as much talent there was at the QB position what Top notch QB got drafted after the 20th pick???...Tomlin is a great coach because he finds a way to motive these guys to play even when they really don't have a chance in hell of win...he causes players to actually believe they can win even when they can't and somehow THEY WIN!!!!...That's why Tomlin is a helluva Coach!!!!
@PatriotWatchUSA And they are still making it to the playoffs and anytime you make it to the playoffs you have a chance to do the impossible...there have been teams that have limped into the playoffs and found a way to win it all...I'm here if you need my help as well sir...lol

Facts
Fields is a talented guy with more upside than Wilson, but Fields is an awful quarterback. I think Wilson problem is holds the ball too long which leads to sacks….but I would still start Wilson.
More upside? Sure, if he suddenly becomes Tom Brady when it comes to thinking and processing the game.
Realistically if he even matches this older Russel Wilson that would be an accomplishment for him.
I really doubt he has the potential to be better than peak Russel.
Stop with the Wilson should have two rings. First who cares the play call yes it was bad but in end he didn’t see the defender and threw the pick. And if we doing what ifs remember the game before they beat the Packers in overtime. Remember that game? Wilson throws 4 interceptions and that packer player mest up that onside kick and got in the way of Jordy Nelson. So Packers should of been the in the Super Bowl if you wanna play what ifs

Russ executed that play perfectly, and every expert says it! He didn’t cause that interception; Ricardo Lockette caused it by running a bad interior route. Specifically, he didn’t break strongly enough on the ball, and you can see that if you review the play in slow-motion. I’m a former WR, so I know.
On a goal line play, SECURE THE BALL FIRST!
That means he shouldn’t have broken for the goal line like he did. He should’ve been a bit more shallow. The goal line was the expected point of contact (EPC).
Ricardo Lockette fckd up that play, but the Seahawks players prefer to blame Russ because they were jealous of him and feel sorry for Lockette, especially given that he was nearly killed on the field not long after in a game against Dallas. IMO, Lockette is a coward because he should’ve defended Russ. Everyone with football knowledge knows Russ executed the play perfectly from the way he lined up under center to the signals to the magnitude of the pass.
Watch his eyes and how he looked off the defense.
There’s another bit of trivia people love to overlook: Brandon Browner was a former Seahawks player, and he recognized that play before it happened! He directed Malcolm Butler to the right spot. Maybe Russ didn’t notice it because He was looking left or far right to confuse the defense.
Remember also that Euss outplayed Brady that whole game, and he built a 12-point 4th quarter lead. Who blew that lead?

@@markkaasha2111 Rodgers is one of the greatest QB of all time coming off back to back MVPs. His situation and Russ are not the same. 3 coaches said no to Russ, he played the worst football of his life in the last two seasons. Casual.

His passer rating was all time great just 2-3 seasons ago. Not sure how it's doing now but if he suddenly has 2-4 more years of the same production as last year or in his Seattle prime days he will be probably the 2 or 3 best QB of his era.

Russ didn’t throw a pick. Ricardo Lockette ran a bad interior route and failed to catch a perfectly thrown ball. That INT wasn’t Russ’s fault, and he’s the one who put the team back into position to win the game after the LoB blew the 12-point 4th quarter lead he built!
