I definitely vibe with Mona Awad's writing as I'm reading, but the endings sometimes leave me wanting. I have been interested in rereading Bunny as I've been told it is better upon reread.
What creepy music you chose for your b roll!! 😱 but I loved the all-out Halloween displays! A spooky season read that I have read and I want you to read: The Eyes Are The Best Part 🎡🎠🎢🎪
An Excellent Vlog Danni! Love the rating system. The Halloween garden displays are so awesome. Fantasticland sounds very interesting. Hope you are having a happy spooky season! 🎃
Thanks Cliff! It was definitely a fun time. My neighbors definitely are creative in their displays every year. Hope you had a happy spooky season as well!
I gave Bunny 2.5 stars. Maybe I should try Rouge? I was in a major slump and tried several chapters from 6 books. I'm reading The House Witch, and I'm really liking it. Knock wood 🪵 The Bad Ones. I played "light as a feather, stiff as a board", and one time, it really worked! I know where, I remember every girl except one, .... freaked us out! Your decor is great 💀 🧟♀️ 🧛♀️ 🦇 👻 🎃 ⚰️
I do recommend Rouge for people who enjoy a good fantasy element. I've heard good things about The House Witch. I want to try the series at some point, but I've been dragging my feet. Glad you found something you are enjoying! 🥳 There were definitely a few times I freaked myself out playing games like that as a kid. 🤣
Fantasticland sound sooo good. I love interview style of telling the story so this is going on my TBR immediately. I really loved how you rated each book. It gave a good reference on how they compare to each other and to see which book might be for you, combined with a desciption and your thoughts. ❤🎡 Also, the Bad Ones cover alone makes me want to read it... 🤤
You should definitely pick up Fantasticland! I think you will enjoy the chaos. I love a good interview. I made up the rating system on the fly. 😅 I just knew the books were such different vibes. Glad it worked to showcase their uniqueness. If you read The Bad Ones, I would love to hear your thoughts! It was 100% a cover buy.
Rouge is a weird one, haha. I liked it and it’s the only book I’ve read of hers. Cool Halloween decorations!

Right so many fairy tale connections with Rouge
I'm glad I'm not the only one that spotted them. I started to think maybe it was just me.
Ooh I’m going to adding some of these to my TBR ❤❤
Have fun Lexi! I hope you enjoy!
We kept her in the cellar sounds really interesting 🤩🤩
I do think you would enjoy that one Lotta! It is very fun while still having horror vibes. 😊
I love Kelly Barnhill’s writing but have only read When Women Were Dragons by them so far. I keep meaning to read more from them.
You must read When the Girl Drank the Moon. It was absolutely lovely!
Happy Halloween 🎃 Dani and everyone in the comments
Happy Halloween to you too Lynn!
We Keept Her in the Cellar sounds really good, I will have to try that one
I do think it would be a book you would enjoy. It reads super quick and was just a fun time! Definitely darker than I expected for a retelling. 🤣

@Danni.Dabbles House Witch isn't as cozy as I thought. I think that's why I like it. 😉
