The evolved weapons are really important to go for. Each weapon has a passive that you need for it to evolve once you max out it's level. For example, garlic needs the red heart (pom-whatever). I think if you hit start and check the grimoire in game, it tells you which weapons go with each passive. It looks like in multiplayer, if one player takes a passive, then the other players can't get it, so probably important to plan a little ahead with what weapons everyone starts with which passives they should take. In any case, super fun watching you guys get addicted to this game!
That's assuming he actually acquired each combination. He didn't seem to know exactly how things worked, so he might have had some listings still with (?) on it. I just got the game a few days ago and was going a bit nutty trying to find out the combo for the "Drill" and Song of Mana... as I got deeper and able to last longer/beat death/level faster, I got to the point where I'd get beyond the limit of weapons and passives... so I got basically all the passives with black boxes and Armas, then specifically got those two weapons with Candy Boxes to figure it out
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, I mean Appso unlocked all characters but he still doesn't know how to get evolved? I can't believe how he unlocked all those characters without knowing that.
I would 100% watch every minute of every video you guys put out on Vampire Survivors. Its such a great game. Add in the crew's commentary and flubs and it's my favorite thing out right now.

Neebs, I'm PLAYING Vampire Survivor while WATCHING y'all play Vampire Survivor lol. It's a great game. I have played it so much I just need a picture to know what I'm going to pick lol. I don't even read anymore lol. GAME TIP: When the square of skeletons show up, let the person with the garlic lead! All those skeletons are one, or two hits max. It's a chance to REALLY wrack up some gems. After them comes the werewolves which are harder. Werewolves and zombies.
you need certain items to be able to upgrade your weapons that you choose. for example, lightning ring needs the duplicator. the white bird (peachone) needs the black bird to evolve. also note you can pass your upgrade to someone else if their upgrade item comes to you.
@29:46 you can see the Pummarola (red heart) says New! evo: garlic and has Poe's picture next to it. This means Poe needs that red heart to be able to evolve the garlic. So you all would pass your level up to Neebs so he can get the item needed to evolve his weapon.

I wont lie im also addicted :D ...got it the 11th and i already have 16.5hrs played xD Great game, great pass time with friends to note: to get evolutions in coop you have to choose your items carefully, use the skip/pass/banish carefully with your teammates and you still only get 6 offensives and 6 defensives altogether plus whatever items there are on the map. (thats why only Appsro was able to get the spinach. I think Dora had an empty slot but AFAIK there are only 1 of all items. i.e. if someone gets duplicator someone else cant get it, hence the skips/passes for you to be able to not steal what your teammates need to evolve their offensives.) Love your work, believe it or not its quite relaxing after a hard days of work. Keep it up guys and gals, love yall!
I am ADDICTED to this game now cause of these guys. A lot to unlock and I like unlocking stuff. Kills me to see Appsro having all that unlocked, but not knowing about evolving everybody’s weapon correctly?

Once y'all learn the synergies of weapons and accessories you'll really like this game! Poe's garlic and the red heart (the one that gives more regeneration) let's poe's weapon evolve into a stronger version once it is maxed out and you grab chests. Most weapons have an accessory they pair with to evolve. The dog's doesn't evolve. Those other character's y'all used do though.
At 31:50 you leveled up a bunch because when you have too many gems on screen it removes them but keeps the XP that they drop and puts them all into one gem and puts it in a corner of the screen and you picked up the one gem
You guys have got me and my friends addicted to this game. The only thing I would do to improve the game is a proper cross-play multiplayer option because I love watching you have so much fun together. Never stop being yourselves guys ❤

1000% nerdy enough to watch this and want more :) I am working on 100% completion of this game I am 91% due to new dlc This game itches that spot. To say you guys have just scratched the surface is a under statement. Over 60 characters to play and 11+ levels and 6-7 different bonus modes to make the game even harder. Also evolving weapons and synergies are a must! Garlic, Bible, Santa water, axes are all good starting weapons if you evolve every one. To beat death you must at a min have clock lancet and shield evolved good luck and hopefully we see more!
Played this game for quite awhile myself. I don't mind watching you guys play it and have fun. Also, one thing you want to do is learn how to evolve your weapons, i.e. you can evolve Garlic by getting the pummarola item (red heart item that gives health regen) and it'll turn the garlic aura into an aura that does lifesteal on any damage it does to enemies. Also, if you want to beat Death, you want to have Clock Lancet and Laurel and something to do damage. I think it's pretty much something to do solo.

Yeah, his list would be a little messed up. He didn't have Cross + Clover initially, and no Pentagram + Crown... nor Cat + Golden Mask
You probably know now already but when there is a "evo" notice on a new skill it means they will combine and evolve in a later stage.

That skull weapon upgrade makes sense now.
The lowest level enemy on that map that can be upgraded to farm xp.
