Relatable. I also studied in India's one of the best universities, with less than 1% selection rate based on national level entrance exam. Where every student was top in their school or in their city but ended up being just average because of the relative grading.

this sums up my life since technical high school... it's a very interesting process going from being a top of the class student all your life to a very average student among other intelligent and focused people. Initially, I thought that I had lost a bit of my intelligence, but then I realized it was normal to feel overwhelmed when there are many like you and some even more obsessed with studying. I must say my technical school was harder for me than university, because different than other high schools in my country I had classes every day from 7am to 5pm, and sometimes even on saturdays, and college was less time consuming, which allowed me to seize my time better. that thing you said about not skipping classes, for example, I only saw in the technical school. even though the university I go to is one of the top three in my country, i saw many students use the gratuity of the university to be able to "enjoy the time in college" doing anything but studying

    Fascinating. What's the major/concentration/degree?

Doesn’t Ukraine kind of have bigger issues going on right now? Kinda feel like if you’re there studying, exam pressure is sort of at the bottom of the list.

I agree, of course there are many problems in Ukraine, bigger than academic worries. The war in the first place. It all seems silly with the war and the threat to life, but since university takes up most of our time, we just can't ignore it and not worry about it. Especially in the best university in the country, where we are obliged to work hard and keep the bar high;) And this all together has a very strong impact on the students' mental health.
