- Reggie is a 55 year old man who has tumors all over his body and is diagnosed with neurofibromatosis. He fears that others will be scared of his appearance. Reggie wants people to know that he’s just a normal person who loves baking and his family.

Our bodies are temporary. Physically we all change when we get older watching my grandmother having more and more limitations not being able to get around anymore. It doesn't matter what we look like. What matters is how we treat each other while while we are still here. Our souls are perfect.

Hey Reggie! I just saw this. Reggie is a really great dude. Back when I was in roller derby, Reggie was a huge supporter. He supported all of us. Reggie is a tough guy and has a huge golden heart!

I have the same condition as him, NF1. It's pretty interesting to listen to someone of the same disorder you have and watch how different our experiences were and are.

I just want to give you a hug 🥰 within the first minute it's clear how sweet you are. It's so hard sometimes to step back and see the bigger picture, that your soul is what matters and your body is just a temporary vehicle.. you have a beautiful soul. I'm sorry you have had to go through any bad experiences because of your disability. It's not fair.. it hurts my heart that you worry about scaring people. I have a prothestic eye, which may seem so small and trivial compared to a lot of these videos. But in my own personal world it's hard to deal with, especially when it's on your face and unavoidable. So I really appreciated what you said at the end of the video. Thank you ❤

It's good that Reggie points out that you can't just wipe off abuse. Your force yourself to try and be positive and move forward but only because that's your only option. it doesn't mean you weren't hurt or didn't get affected by it. Being hurt by abuse is not something that only happens to weak people. It's just how people work. There's no avoiding it. If you want people to not hurt, don't hurt them.

Kids are really cool. They'll even go out of their way to befriend people they have a sense of them being different or overlooked or unpopular. I'm visibly queer and kids talk to me. When I was homeless I tried to go out of my way to avoid kids but they would seek me out to chat. Kids are cool. It's the parents that are always the problem.

Oh, and the joke about the flavour of cake made me laugh a lot, although I'd say that vanilla is anything but boring! I also appreciate the way Chris dresses as it probably helps put people at ease. It reminds me of Marie Kondo creating her own 'uniform' for the same reason.
