P most likely is the best friend one can have! And I don’t think it takes long to understand her, and English isn’t even my first language 😅 Her parents are right: everyone who has her in his life is absolutely blessed!

I am always truly so impressed by his communication skills. You can tell that he really reaches every one of these children and young adults in a way that they understand. It’s very moving. He is truly a precious human.
I noticed something so profound that you did chris while you were communicating with P. You gave her two options, to be silly or ask questions, and indicated with your hands to give her a way to answer. You are very experienced and a wonderful advocate for people who communicate in other ways than just verbally. That was such a simple accommodation but I really thought that was amazing.
This is a technique used often in classrooms for kids with less or non-verbal needs. Her AAC device is great-the hand choice adds to that (an eye gaze choice chart is another option for students who can’t use hands or words to communicate). 😊
I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to no longer be able to understand your friends. Like why they no longer want to play with you. I hope she finds friends that are able to accept her as she is
I love how she actually pays attention to what people say, and tries to connect with them by either repeating what they say or associating something in her life. It feels like she's genuinely invested in every person she interacts with.
Hi, the use of the word "Actually" here makes it seem like you believe folks with different abilities choose to not interact and pay attention to people. Very incorrect.
@jrpoon wow, I didn't take it that way at all. Even neurotypical people fail to pay attention and invest themselves in what people say. She's excelling in something many averagely abled folks fail at.

It's not just bc she was adopted - but being adopted in a completely different country & culture, with ppl now looking strange & unfamiliar, while she was already 7 and likely didn't know much of English... This would be a difficult adjustment for any child I think, let alone one having obstacles in processing the world around them.
Her dad was my science teacher last year, he talked about that a lot, but also mentioned once that they never changed her first name because of the change that would come with it, but he gave her a last name. It was probably the most wholesome thing I’ve ever heard

What a small world! I I find this video in my feed and it plays automatically I almost changed it but decide to watch it anyway, Then halfway through the video I realize I have met this girl before when I went to the same orphanage in September 2011. I can believe it is the same little girl I had met when she was about 3. I was on a missions trip and we use to play with her in the nurses room while she ran around in one of those baby walkers. It is a blessing to see her all grown up and so happy!
The word she loves to say "Amanha means "unique " in India ,Im guessing she heard it used about her a lot in the orphanage and maybe in a very kind way so it possibly gives her a good feeling to say it...You are defiantly a Amanha beautiful girl

I think she’s fully lucid and understands the conversation very well. Shes non verbal but very witty and smart. Don’t underestimate her due to her condition.
I don't think she understands complex sentences, but I think she can understand very well the emotions that people want to convey and she mirrors what people say to her, which shows that she enjoys interacting with them. It does look like her condition affected her brain development a lot which makes it impossible for her to have the exact same cognitive abilities as the average person. But what matters is that she seems to be happy, she loves and she is loved.
With mentioning you're an Indian, it's like you're implying this girl is Indian. I thought the girl is black, like African black. But yeah, sometimes it's incredibly hard to distinguish between the two. *Just got to the part where they mention P is Indian.
Her parents are definitely correct about her intelligence, I could tell she understands way more than a lot of people give her credit for even before they said that. Her expression immediately turned from silly to serious and contemplative when they started discussing the more sensitive aspects of her diagnosis and early life. The way she looked at her dad, smiled, and kissed him when he was telling her how deeply and unconditionally she is loved was more powerful than words. It was so cute and funny when she yelled “trauma!” I’m not the best at interpreting social cues but I think she said it like that to convey how disruptive and overwhelming it feels to experience as well as to show that she chooses to rise above and even find humor in her struggles which I can really relate to as I’m sure many others can as well. A lot of people don’t seem to realize that those with disabilities can also be funny, silly, witty, ironic and even sarcastic but P sure proves them wrong. Some might assume that she is confused if she says something unexpected or that she can’t tell the difference between fantasy and reality if she talks about giants and princesses when really she’s just joking around, using tone and body language to imply what she is thinking or feeling instead of outright stating it, or using her newest creative project as a conversation starter just like non-disabled people do all the time and often get praised for. Again, I’m so glad she has such a wonderfully supportive family who see, celebrate, encourage, and support her in showing others her many talents and passions. The fact that she can communicate so beautifully and efficaciously using far fewer words than most really is an incredible gift, and anyone who doesn’t recognize that is missing out on really knowing P and getting to experience all the rare and magnificent ways in which she is intelligent.

P's interaction with her parents, dad especially, is sooooo heartwarming. Looks like she is a daddy's girl! That moment she kissed him and said "I love you"❤And to think that she screamed really loud when he first picked her up is almost unimaginable. She definitely has a lot to say and mom is very quick with her expressions. P is loved,no doubt...and she knows it❤❤❤
Hi! My daughter has mopd type 2. From the beginning of the video I knew it was mopd, but I was surprised she has her own type. She must be the rearest. She's so cute, smart and fun! You're all a beautifull family.
What the dad said about replacing the bad memories with the good ones literally made me cry. That is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard anyone say.
I Love P's sparkling & imaginative personality. She's definitely a very special & clever young lady with two very devoted parents who obviously Love P very much.
Chris deserves a noble prize on human kindness, I love this guy. Breaking barriers. Opening up cross roads to beautiful souls of people to other people don't wanna get to know due to the outer physicals and not seeing the soul is awesome loving genuine and authentic, and most importantly the same as all humans. The love of these parents and all the other parents of all the other kids are real super hero's
P is an amazing girl. She has a rapport with her father that is extremely evident. The way he looks at her is pure joy. Mom has been a wonderful teacher and it shows. Bless everyone of you. P,Mom and Dad are special people. ❤❤❤
P had me smiling all through this video! When she pretended she didn't know where Chris was, I was cracking up. She is so adorable! I just followed her on TikTok!
Thanks for being amazing voices and kindness for the disabled to awesome people at Special Books by special kids. Here's my contribution from an disabled UA-camr as myself 😁
P is the absolute cutest, she had me smiling and laughing the entire time! 🤣♥️ i love how she repeats what people are saying, definitely shows that she is able to follow along and understand so much ♥️
It looks like shes moving so fast, as if someone pressed the "fast forward" button everytime she moves or talks! :o She has such a bubbly personality! It's amazing how you can get into their world and communicate with them, no matter their condition 🥰 Thank you for sharing such amazing content 💜
I noticed that Sweet Pea has intense focus. She is very smart and a cutie. I love her intense gaze and how she focuses on the person speaking and what is being said. It must be frustrating for P to not be able to easily express herself. She's adorable.
The smile on her face when her father described her adoption day as the best day of his life. She knows he means it, and that she is loved for who she is. That is as beautiful as human connection gets.
Tears formed in my eyes when I realised she was saying hello and laughter is enough. To know she can use her device to communicate that is just amazing. She's so intelligent. Again, showing just because someone looks and acts different to the majority, doesn't mean they're any less intelligent, capable or human.
The parents are so in love with her pure heart and soul. You can see it run so deeply in their eyes. I'm so happy they have each other. Side note, this channel is such a breath of fresh air. I truly believe these kids with "special needs" see the world differently, and I wish we could all see it the same way. The world would be a much better place.
She's so bubbly! I love it. And Chris, great job as always. I know you hear it all the time, but you have a great ability to connect with others, and your skills increase with every interview!
P is such a beautiful sweet angel. I think you’re all so blessed to have each other. I’m wish you all the very best. Send you and your angel P all my love and well wishes. I think anyone would be so lucky to have a friend like P. She is so positive and all smiles. 💞💗💘🫶🏼🥰✨💫
You can tell she's intelligent by the way she looks at Mom and Dad when they're describing her condition. She seems to fully understand what is being said. God Bless P and God Bless her parents for adopting her!
Wow, 7 pounds at 2 years old 😭 glad to have you here, Miss P. Love how mom lights up when P does. I can imagine some of the feelings her parents have from seeing her grow into this bubbly, bright enigma, after first meeting her in the orphanage. Good luck with meeting friends! I'm 31 and trying to do the same thing P lol!
Her parents are awesome!! You can tell, she is so very loved. Her enthusiasm and energy makes me smile Ile too. She pays attention and wants to be in the conversation. She's beautiful and her laugh , 😃 💕💕💕
Oh my God I love this little girl so much!!! She's got the greatest personality you just want to literally pick her up and squeeze her and give her the biggest kiss!!! ❤😘
I love that her parents are always listening closely for her response! 😊 She's a lovely soul, especially because most people don't know that hello and a smile or laughter is enough!
I looked up the We Carry Kevan backpack and wow, that father is amazing. He did his research to buy the best mobility device he could to enrich his daughter’s life and hike with her. Brings tears to my eyes 💜
I've come across Kevan and his friends a couple times at a conference. He seems richly blessed with friends and purpose. That was in TN and I was just watching Iron & Wine interviews since I'll be seeing Sam play for the first time soon. Algorithms for Midwest connections I guess?
I love her retelling their stories, how adorable is she!!!! I’m so glad she found such wonderful parents ! When she looked at you mimicking a cow, herr asking “ how did you do that ?” She stole my heart !!!! She’s so smart !! She’s sooo cute!!! ❤❤❤
I just wanted to comment on you putting a white blanket on the couch to ensure that P was well represented and seen. That is a beautiful touch, as much as it probably made the camera person's job easier for light balancing, it feels symbolic in the way that P, her family and your channel are making her seen. P, your sense of humour and intelligence shine through and you are a ray of sunshine in this world! 💕
She's very bright watching so closely to mom and daddy talk and engaging back. Must be fun watching her learn and use all the new technologies to help communicate.
P and her her parents are so sweet and amazing. It mustn't be easy at all adopting a child with special needs and they do that amazingly with lots of positivity and it makes me happy seeing it ❤
P is just precious. I felt like I could relate to her humor and I could see how smart she is. Her parents seem perfectly matched with her. Their laid back personalities and their firm faith will continue to give P the security and love that will make her thrive. God bless you all! ❤
Ahanana, dear “P” and Cris (mom n dad:) Another amazing video about another amazing special person! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Keep on ‘snailing’! 😅Wishing you continued blessings! ⚓️🙏🫶🏼🕊️
@sbsk, you all do an awesome job when interviewing and help the people you talk with be comfortable or have fun. This young girl was so fun to watch. She's very observant, watching her look at her dad and mom, and at you, when each person was talking was cool. She definitely isn't non-verbal. In her way, she is trying to communicate, though sometimes it's not in language like we use, but then at times, it was easy to understand what she was saying or trying to convey. Even when she was talking super fast in what is language for her, you can hear the cadence of talking or speech. What an amazing young one she is.
Yeah, I literally laughed at that 😂 She's so smart & funny, and I think ppl really should be careful when talking about things related to her (like, to her parents) while she's present. Something tells me she perceives they're talking about sensitive (even hurtful) things about her experience, like she's not even there...
@@dyawr I totally agree .. I saw times she was not happy to discuss things or was questioning why it was being discussed. I wish so much that US used more of the tools like the pad she has and sign language.. this young lady has a LOT to say

"Ahnana" sweet P. ❤ you brought tears to my eyes, sweet P. Our good Lord put angels on this earth to make a smile. You are one of them even though you’re better than an angel
The blessed dad made an amazing point at around the 19:20 mark; she is so intelligent; there is just a communication barrier/difficulty that people don’t understand. Hate that she’s underestimated; she is full of personality and so beautiful! Nice to meet you P!
Thankyou so so much for introducing her to us. She is such a mood and might be the coolest kid I've ever seen😂 She knows how to joke around and be silly always making the people around her laugh and giggle. That's actually a great talent in itself. I think I would totally vibe with her and have the greatest time of my life just like you did. Lucky you! Lots of love to you lil P❤❤❤ I think many people would love watching more of her adorable stories in future if she's cool with it!
I appreciate your sentiment. Yet, There are also people who take in special needs children simply because they're vulnerable. Thinking anyone who adopts does so because they are good allows abuse to go unnoticed. I'm not saying that's the case here. But I'm saying we need to be more thoughtful.
There is a passage in the Qur'an that talks about children with disabilities being free from accountability in this life and are granted paradise.. The parents chosen to guide these angels to paradise are rewarded eternally for the love and compassion they gave these children 💙

That moment she kissed him and said "I love you"❤And to think that she screamed really loud when he first picked her up is almost unimaginable. She definitely has a lot to say and mom is very quick with her expressions. P is loved,no doubt...and she knows it❤❤❤
These parents are absolute MAGIC. So aware and caring. It brought tears to my eyes. And P is so fun!
P's mom and dad are such soft, gentle, and kind people. I just know P was the missing piece to their family
Hi! My daughter has mopd type 2. From the beginning of the video I knew it was mopd, but I was surprised she has her own type. She must be the rearest. She's so cute, smart and fun! You're all a beautifull family.
You should let him interview you guys. Then she could she someone that has a similar condition to hers and not feel alone 😊

I haven’t smiled this much in months! P is such a joyful person and I think I will always remember her and try to carry that joy with me 🥰
P is an amazing girl.

She has such a bubbly personality! It's amazing how you can get into their world and communicate with them, no matter their condition 🥰 Thank you for sharing such amazing content 💜
The amount of love in this family is absolutely heartwarming ❤
Excellent parents
@@cartierwhite_lasvegas Fr, my respect to them... it takes a lot of selflessness & dedication to adopt a special needs child.
P is adorable! She's so beautiful, inside and out. I love the "SNAIL"!! How cute is that? Mom and Dad are wonderful people.
I can see she is much smarter than people think she is. Great job mom an dad for saving her and taking such good care of her.
I noticed that Sweet Pea has intense focus. She is very smart and a cutie. I love her intense gaze and how she focuses on the person speaking and what is being said. It must be frustrating for P to not be able to easily express herself. She's adorable.
I think p is the most precious and perfect child my heart is just filled with joy watching her and I think she's just absolutely perfect❤
The smile on her face when her father described her adoption day as the best day of his life. She knows he means it, and that she is loved for who she is. That is as beautiful as human connection gets.
This young lady just emits so much joy and love. The entire family amazing. Thank you for always introducing such inspiring people.
What a sweetie!!! She absolutely beautiful, too!!! Hope her joy is contagious, the world needs more of it!! ❤
The world would be a much better place.
the "SNAIL!" prank got me every single time loll she is hilarious!
Me too!! 😂
YOU JUST SNAILED ME??
Yes! I had to go back and watch her snail Chris like 10 times!
That was a great one! 😅
P is beautiful and very witty. Thank you for adopting, loving and giving her a wonderful life. ❤😊
You can tell she's intelligent by the way she looks at Mom and Dad when they're describing her condition. She seems to fully understand what is being said. God Bless P and God Bless her parents for adopting her!
Adopting parents are angels!
Not everyone would like to adopt like this girl having ...
May God bless all of you!
She. Is. So. Adorable ❤️
I love her! ☺️ I so relate to her mom, trying to help her child have an easier time socializing. It’s hard to see your kid lonely around their peers.
Perfectly said by P’s dad: “Cognitively, she is smarter than many people realise” - EXACTLY! [19:14]
Yeah she is. You can tell by her sense of humor when she’s joking with her parents, and the way she listens to them intently while they’re talking.
beauriful!!!
She is so confident!! Bless her heart. 😀
Such a sweet and wonderful video. Thanks for posting, and God bless this family.
You see that hand? She said period😆 2:06, I love her already what a sweetheart.💝💖
Salute to mommy and daddy for taking such good care and loving their daughter. ❤️❤️
Im not trying to be rude, but this channel always makes me smile knowing that there's still good people out there. God bless you have a nice day.
How is this rude? I completely agree❤ seeing these videos brightens up my day!
Rude? Why would that be rude? 🤨
How on earth would that sound rude?!
I think they said “not trying to be rude” to get our attention, lol❤
I completely agree
I love that her parents are always listening closely for her response! 😊 She's a lovely soul, especially because most people don't know that hello and a smile or laughter is enough!
Some of the most beautiful people in the world 😢😊 thanks for sharing 🙏
She's haves an unique beauty. And a forever pure heart that's filled with joy n laughter. God bless her forever ❤
I've been waiting for you to interview P for years! She's such a light. I'm so glad she's in the world ❤
I looked up the We Carry Kevan backpack and wow, that father is amazing. He did his research to buy the best mobility device he could to enrich his daughter’s life and hike with her. Brings tears to my eyes 💜
I thought 'we carry Kevin' was just some new kids show I didn't know about 😂😂😂 like having a paw patrol backpack 🎒😂😂
@@angiepangie989 I thought that too and then looked it up. It is so awesome!
I absolutely loved watching this. She is so cute and very smart. You two have done a wonderful job raising her.
You are so right. I would not have noticed that a white blanket was required!
P is the most wholesome little girl. I absolutely loved watching her interact with you. She’s very quick witted and cheeky. ❤
She's very bright watching so closely to mom and daddy talk and engaging back. Must be fun watching her learn and use all the new technologies to help communicate.
P and her her parents are so sweet and amazing. It mustn't be easy at all adopting a child with special needs and they do that amazingly with lots of positivity and it makes me happy seeing it ❤
P is awesome. She's got a great sense of humor, and you can see the intelligence in her eyes. I hope she'll always have a happy spirit 💗
P is just precious. I felt like I could relate to her humor and I could see how smart she is.
Her parents seem perfectly matched with her. Their laid back personalities and their firm faith will continue to give P the security and love that will make her thrive. God bless you all! ❤
So happy to finally see her on your channel 💗
Ahanana, dear “P” and Cris (mom n dad:) Another amazing video about another amazing special person! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Keep on ‘snailing’! 😅Wishing you continued blessings! ⚓️🙏🫶🏼🕊️
Ahnanana. Someone needs to introduce her to Adam West's Batman.
She's so peppy and upbeat.I see beautiful luv all around here in this video.Thank S.B.S.K.❤❤❤❤
“So do I teach you something?”
“No!” 😂😂😂
A1 daughter answer 👌🏽
@@khaliah7754Typical teenager 😂
Yeah, I literally laughed at that 😂 She's so smart & funny, and I think ppl really should be careful when talking about things related to her (like, to her parents) while she's present. Something tells me she perceives they're talking about sensitive (even hurtful) things about her experience, like she's not even there...
@@dyawr I totally agree .. I saw times she was not happy to discuss things or was questioning why it was being discussed. I wish so much that US used more of the tools like the pad she has and sign language.. this young lady has a LOT to say
She is adorable!
That beautiful childs innocence.
I think she's wonderful.
Oh my heart. What a beautiful family and a beautiful man interviewing them and beautiful people watching.
This interview made me smile so much. I love that she met such an amazing family. She seems so smart and energetic and her tshirt says it all. We can see she understands everything, remember the storys and interact with the conversation. I loved to meet her in this video
Beautiful family. Love seeing all the smiles and laughter. God bless them all.
P is absolutely delightful. "Snail" had me rolling! I wish I could be her nanny. I'd play with her all day long.
"Snail" was very clever. I love how she came up with that.
SHE IS PRECIOUS!!! These souls are pure love and what we need in our lives despite the difficulties!! Thanks so much for shairing this!! ❤❤❤
any parent who takes in a child with special needs is an angel on earth
I appreciate your sentiment. Yet, There are also people who take in special needs children simply because they're vulnerable. Thinking anyone who adopts does so because they are good allows abuse to go unnoticed.
I'm not saying that's the case here. But I'm saying we need to be more thoughtful.
@@LS-kc5xgthat's true
There is a passage in the Qur'an that talks about children with disabilities being free from accountability in this life and are granted paradise.. The parents chosen to guide these angels to paradise are rewarded eternally for the love and compassion they gave these children 💙
@@ojitosrodriguez114 that's true mashallah
There are demonic individuals who adopt children with special needs too.
