AsI do not like the suspension of the Burgman I replaced it with Hyper Pro front and aft and it is a miracle! A totally different bike! Just great.

you're doing a great public service here. I think Colemans Suzuki stiffened my springs the ride is so much hard and I can feel every bump in the road since the rear tire change, I will try to do this and see if it helps.

Is there any benchmark? What is left and right mean? Turning to the right means clockwise?

I"ve heard about "increasing the pre-load" to put more weight on the front tire. Is this the stiffer setting or softer setting?

That's why rear suspensions ideally is softer to absorb the bump from the front forks.

Yeah the OEM shocks are rubbish, best to swap them out for an air set to get a much better ride. These shocks are over sprung and under dampened

what do the numbers mean on the shocks and what size are they?

not sure about the size but the numbers go from 1 to 5, 1=softest preload, 5 = stiffest
