I just made these and am eating them right now as I write this! I can attest to how perfect this recipe is!
One small thing: he did not mention how many egg whites to use and they are not in the written recipe, so I guessed two, and it came out perfect 😊
    Happy pancake making 😀

It might just be me, but those "unsightly" pancakes cooked in a bit more fat are exactly how I like them. I find the uneven browning appealing in this case.

Agreed! I don't know what's wrong with a bit more butter as long as it hasn't burned before the batter hits the griddle. Seems a bit nitpicky there. :)

I had it with syrup and ate the other with homemade whipped cream 🤩 and I followed the tip for egg whites and milk to be at room temperature and to allowed melted butter to cool.

I disagree with the less butter part. I would go for the less consistent more textured looking one.
That extra butter can even impart a crispiness or even a crunch sometimes on the border, which really contrasts nicely with the fluffy inside.

As a kid cooking pancakes, I was kind of obsessed with making my pancakes having the smooth look. Normally, it's the first ones that gets the uneven look because of the fat and will have that extra butter flavor, and the rest will have that smooth surface. But that butter flavor is great too.

    • @Becky_Lewis_Awareness

Moe Chan. Did you get your instant noodles replacement? If not, just put scrambled eggs in a plastic bag, twist off tight, cut small tip of corner tip of bag and squeeze in to very hot broth or even cup of TEA 😁 to cook. Strain if desired or add more seasoning to your liquid medium. The stringing out of egg in hot liquid makes little noodles😂. Enjoy! 🤗

Mid September is close enough for all things pumpkin, right? 😆 This past summer I made cobbler. Now, I’m on the hunt for pumpkin. So far this is my second option. I found pumpkin muffins first, now I want to look for homemade pumpkin latte’s. 💕🎃 🎃🎃💕
I meant to ask about those egg whites. How long does it take to get soft peaks with a whisk & are they absolutely necessary? While watching another channel, 4 professional chefs competed. It looks like it’s very labor intensive and it takes strength. I’m pretty sure I’ll get my electric mixer out for that! I’m starting my pumpkin hunt tomorrow. I have everything else but I’m going to get a few cans.
    Thanks for sharing!
If I had watched until the end I would see the difference with the egg whites. 💕

Dear Thomas, first I really love watching your videos as I feel like I’m gaining confidence and skills from you. Do you realize that the pancake recipe that the link under your video is not the same as the one you walk us through on the demo. It has nothing about the egg white addition. I would love to add pumpkin pancakes to my list of pancake mixes, but it is easier for me when I can read the ingredients and steps after watching the video than trying to scramble around and write down that stuff while the video is playing..
