Soooo hoppy!
My brace came like yours. I thought it was odd it bows the frame in.
Yeah.. very odd.
I think they made that cutaway shape to reach the hole that is down that curve and just eliminated the extra material left up above to maintain the same equal width of the rail...
but there is no need for that curve or hole at all. it could have just been a smooth hoop with the brace anywhere along the shock hoop. Hell, they could have made the brace adjustable by using the same size screw and letting you put the brace where ever you want.. even better, letting you use the shock screws and shocks to mount the brace.
@@TheShopMiniRC agree, and I personally would have made a way bigger shock mounting area with way more options of incline and height for different builds, but nobody seems to make it that way...
Why all the extra front shock mount holes? Nobody runs shocks leaning forward.
You would use those if you stretched the front links for a longer wheelbase. But yeah, we’d rather have more rear / inward leaning positions.
Mini Rc I have a question can you use a laydown servo with the furitek chassis? Thank you for showing it the grasshopper looks more open than some of the chassis being sold
i matched it up to a laydown servo and it does look like there would be enough room. It might be tight and the side wire might rub on the chassis when articulating but I bet if you went with a 3flow9 torrent with the rear exit wire, it would have 0 issues rubbing. (as long as there is room for the wire at the rear of the servo between it and the motor)
Thank you for the suggestion and the servo looks good too keep making your videos it supports us newbie with the hobby@@TheShopMiniRC

@@littlesadface thanks!!
Young grasshopper. 😂😂😂
Thanks a ton for watchin!!
Maybe tamiya grasshopper is that shape maybe meant to be like this just a thought that came to mind
hmm.. i think they are completely unrelated.
Instead of using the nuts on the back of the top shock bolt y not put the brace bar there and put the bolts into the bar and don't need the nuts
Yep, that’s a good option as well!
@@TheShopMiniRC just a thought. You build these and work on them way more then me. I'm still barely getting into these and still learning. But I appreciate yr channel and all tips, tricks, reviews on parts and help. Much appreciated. Love the channel thank you
@@Kpilato_21 huge thanks for the watching! I hope they help.
they stole it from a dude on thingverse you can print this exact chassis he had his out befor furitek and he added the dip for asthetics
Gamy RC is the original designer and he works for furitek ;)
