      Thanks Freddie. We are opening up now and have something called people in the showroom again. They do strange things with a small square card and seem happy when I wrap one of my pots in a bag. One yesterday was so surprised they forgot they were mask less when entering. She was so apologetic. We are opening the border to the US in 3 weeks, I wonder what that will be like since we are still under mask and distancing rules. We now have 80% single dose and 60% double dose vaccinated, highest in Canada. We are being told that masks will be optional when we reach 80% double dose, with only 11 active cases here that is likely to happen. If we duplicate the UK and the US we may get locked down again. What a topsy turtvy time.

    • @freddiemoretti8456
      @freddiemoretti8456 3 роки тому

      The guilt that one feels when we forget our mask. Has happened a few times with me even though they are not required I feel better having one on in a store.
      I think Florida will still do well as a leader of being silly about not protecting others and themselves. Always striving to be number one.

    Hi Vaughan, I would definitely like the Apple Green recipe... although I haven't had great luck with rutile greens in the past. Also, the "mouse grey"... is that actually called "Field Mouse Brown"? I use Field Mouse Brown and it's an oatmeal glaze, mine comes out a light brown with quite a bit of crystal formation. I can't really use it for production because it can look almost white sometimes and then be a lot more brown the next time. If there is a different recipe that is actually meant to be grey, I need to try that one. Thanks for your videos, enjoying your channel!

    • @Vsmithpots
      @Vsmithpots  3 роки тому

      Send me an email and I will give you the recipe. I am not sure what the etiquette is for passing on recipes from books on a published site. Copy write issues. It is the recipe in Mastering Cone 6 Glazes for the Field Mouse Grey.

      @@Vsmithpots Thanks for the offer. I had the book, probably from the library years ago and didn't have great luck with some of the recipes, like variegated blue. Maybe it was the materials I had at the time or the fact that it needs to go on so thick. I do use Field Mouse Brown and I get a very different glaze than what your results are. I did a little bit of research and the recipes from the book Mastering Cone 6 glazes are online and the Field Mouse Brown recipe is the same exact one I have, so I guess I get a light brown glaze and yours is grey. Maybe it would turn out grey for me if I omitted the rutile, not sure. Most (if not all) of the recipes from that book also appear in John Britt's Guide to Mid-Range Glazes, a book I have.. Field Mouse Brown is in there in case anyone else might need to know. I would be interested in your green glaze recipes if you decide to post any of those.
