Thank you for your review. Being that this ammo is close to being the lowest priced 9mm ammo from TSUSA, I’m sure a lot of people are curious on the performance of this particular ammo.
You're welcome, thanks for watching and commenting, I hope I could shed some more light on this ammo. It's new and I think it's really great, 1,000 rounds with no failures and I'm happy with it. I need to run it through a PCC sometime if I get some more of it.
@@58Alpha Well its from Hungary and so probably decent unlike the crap coming out of Turkey that blows up guns. There are some good foreign import ammo but it takes some research and pick and choose. My favorite ammo believe it or not is not US made. Serbian PPU in both 5.56 and 9mm exceeds NATO standards. The brass is thicker than domestic brass also. Really accurate clean burning ammo. I could care less about Serbian politics. All I know is its really good ammo. I would probably pick domestic Federal brand ammo second. Thanks for sharing. P.S. I was looking at the New Republic web site and they have some .38Spl. 158gr. FMJ FP range ammo I might give it a try. Pretty good prices. I usually shoot my own reloads for my range ammo so this might be a good range ammo addition.
Thanks for watching. I couldn't really find where exactly it was made, I didn't see it was Hungary. But I've been to Budapest a few times and I know their companies are producing good quality products so yeah, this stuff shouldn't have any issue and I'm excited for new companies to come into the market here in the US. I have some PPU but never really noticed it, I just shoot it but I'll try to give it some thought about how good it is next time. Also, yeah New Republic has some other popular calibers, it will be nice if they do come out with more rifle ammo like 308 or 270 that I have a need for, also 10mm. I'll keep supporting them so they can make it if need be lol
@@58Alpha Its not on their web site where its made. I saw it listed with their ammo on Target Sports USA. 5.56 PPU is defense ammo for me. Its that good. But I just use PPU 9mm for range ammo since I use other ammo for defense in my pistols and my PCC.
I just got some because they were the cheapest I could find and I shot about 250 rounds of them through my Glock 17, 19 and 26 and no issues with the oem, magpul and Tillman magazines
Target Sports USA is the best. Pay the $100.00 per to be a member. Free shipping on any quantity. This helps because you can order 1 box of different ammo to try out. Also, you get an 8% discount when you’re a member.
Yeah, i've just felt like I'm not going through as much ammo as is needed to warrant the membership. Do you really save that much vs shopping around each time online? How much is it every month to be a member?@@michaelshanahan4965
I get Academy brand Monarch 250 rounds for $60 which is .24 per round. Damn good price. If i can get this ammo with free shipping, i might consider it.
hmm I didn't have that much dirt on my hands after loading lol I do use a speed loader though so I'm not rubbing them that much, but they seemed clean. Glad it ran perfect though!
Good to know I burned through it but initially thought it was me flinching my shots were about 1-2 inches below compared to my blazer brass and Winchester nato. I basically my what aiming my dot a2 inches higher at 10-15 yards
@@58Alpha ammo is good for the price at 10.50-11$, but it is kind of dirty with it getting my optic dirty at the end of the range session. Also maybe just my gun but sometimes 2 in 50 rounds would have light primer strikes and not fire. I’m guessing the primer cast is a little bit thicker
I had two failure to feed with my G26 with this ammo. Only shot 50 rounds of it though. Have a few more boxes to go through. But I also brought wolf steel cased ammo and it ate that box up like nothing with no failures. Hopefully it was just a bad box.
I mean I am not sure how failure to feed would be due to the ammo though. Hopefully the rest shoot fine. I went through 1,000 rounds in a test and had 0 malfunctions in two separate pistols (not Glock of course)
@@58Alpha Well it wasn't magazine related since the steel ran through just fine. But I will be going tomorrow to the range to see if it was just that bad box.
yeah, wondering if there was just a bad feed ramp, maybe a light limp wrist where the slide couldn't go all the way back and then force a new round forward, or if the previous casing didn't eject smoothly getting it out of the way before the slide pushes the next round in. But yeah, check out the rest of your ammo, if it runs smoothly, i guess I wouldn't think about it anymore then. Failure to feed i'd rather have than stove pipes or failures to eject.
@@58Alpha Well I just came back from the range. Fired 100 rounds, zero issues. Not sure if it was just a bad box or maybe the magazine was brand new and needed to be broken in. Who knows lol. All I know is that they worked just fine in the G26 today.
@@58Alpha no idea whether Blazer actually has a variety of truly jacketed ammo, I know they primarily are plated, even though they are advertised as “FMJ.” Nothing wrong with plated, but definitely makes me hesitant to shoot it out of a ported 2011. If you hear anything, I’d love to know, just stocked up 4k NR FMJ.
@@mattharden3989 Okay, that's interesting, I was not aware of risks of shooting certain ammo out of a ported barrel. New Republic though is very good ammo, seems like it's clean too.
I have been using this ammo for months at the range. Zero issues and that’s using several different brands of pistols. Great price. Good stuff.
Fully agreed!
Thank you for doing this review. I've been using this stuff for months and have had nothing but good experiences.

The range i go to sells this,$17.00 for 50, ran about 300 thru my new m+p subcompact, had one failure to feed, other than that its been good.

Is the FMJ actually a jacket or is it plated like Blazer?
As far as I know it was FMJ, I did not notice it as a plating. And Blazer has FMJs too...

@@58Alphaso I pulled a bullet from the cartridge and it has exposed lead at the bottom. So it is indeed a true jacketed FMJ.
@@mattharden3989 Okay, that's good to know...a TMJ would have it totally encased in metal then; total metal jacket.
Did you by chance measure the ammo? I need less than 1.5 inches long for my cz lol
Hmm. The length of the bullet and casing? I didn't measure it, why do you have to be 1.5" or less for a CZ?
Is this ruag out of Hungary?
From what I hear, it is. And the factory is audited and they make very good ammunition. No risk in buying!
