It's visually appealing tho... It's like one of those games where the exterior is hella big but once you go inside it's somehow smaller than what it seems.
I feel this on such a personal level. I make one square bunker, and my friend is already farming elytras at the end to make it easier to reach their sky base.
Circletoons you probably won’t ever see this but you are truly my favorite creator you make me laugh when I’m sad and overall lift me up thank you so much
@Aaa-vp6ug I'll make a hole straight down that ends in a pool of water, so that's pretty fast. Climbing back up the ladder takes around 30 seconds...I've never actually counted but I'm sure its less than a minute.
I once made a massive house on top of a jungle tree and my brother thought it was done in creative because apparently I couldn't have built it in survival
I can just imagine going down there, getting lost in the world, then suddenly remembering that you're still playing the Minecraft server whilst being in the streets of Constantinople 500AD
Sometimes I just don't understand how someone can just start building or drawing without any picture in mind and still make it work and make it look gorgeous
I like the last one because it somehow has so much more emotion, it feels like it was created out off necessity without much thought, maybe just to shield the owner for a night while they were searching for the ideal location to settle down, it feels like an artifact and I love it
The buildings of other player may look nicer but you will always fondly remember the one you first built. Building stuff was always the best part of Minecraft.
One of the few times I've ever built something "fancy" was a small compound that took no more than 20 square blocks. It had infinite water, a farm, a nether portal, full crafting equipment, a front yard, a mine, and a wall. It was situated next to a swamp on one side with a river on another. It also surprisingly survived a wither attack, which I wasn't expecting.
My base is almost fully underground with a water canal leading straight into a trading hall It’s quite nice I’m planning on putting some automated farms in at some point for villager trading
I would be SO HAPPY to see my friends build like that lol and I’d be more than happy with the little cottage that I made with a massive unground garden, storage and other stuff underneath it!
My friend groups were a big part of why I stopped playing minecraft. A lot of them had way too much free time and would strip the spawn areas of their resources and build giant fortresses in maybe 2 days flat. It made it hard to get into the game, harder to have fun with my builds, so I just stopped playing it. Now im at a point where I can't really find myself enjoying the game, its kind of just a sad nostalgic look at something that was but isn't anymore
Reminds me of when I had a simple corner mountain house in minecraft (nothing good or special) but the treat was the massive underground farm I had that had multiple layers of different crops.
with siblings, everything is like a competition. Even building isn't fun with my brother playing on the same server, I always feel like he will end up with something better
This is the type of reaction my friends have when we play together. Then I'll visit their bases and find a ton of things to compliment them on. Everyone is creative in their own way!
Then there's me. You finish your little castle and look over to me, living in a ruined hut, being blown up by my 8th creeper in the last hour, genuinely tweaking.
Door into a mountain wall is literally me. I've grown a rep among my friends as "the moria dwarf" because I would excavate entire zones underground or into mountains but decorate the outside with a lantern, a glass pane and a welcome sign. My favorite reaction is always when I meet new people who challenge us into a weekend-long build battle, they would build a (admittedly pretty) house meanwhile mine would look bland until you go inside and I've somehow managed to recreate the throne room of erebor (My sleeping schedule is in shambles)
As someone who plays on a server that has been going for a while, if you take the train network around the server you will see all levels of buildersfrom the humble dirthut to entire cities and redstone monsters. Don't take it as a sign that you are bad at building look at their vuilding techniques and incorporate them into your next build. Eventually you will go back to your old builds and you can see how far you have come from when you started. You may chose to preserve that history or improve your old builds with what you learned. And even if you don't think you have gotten beter at building your builds still deserve to exist.
I'm the one who only does the mining part of Minecraft. Building is for storage. I give stuff away then go back to mining. The sounds... they're entrancing.
This is why I only play with my small group of friends, each of us have different strengths and mine happens to be building. I’m not fast or particularly good, but neither of them are either.
i go for simplicity. Sometimes as soon as a i start a fresh world i dig down a bit to build an underground sort of bunker near my spawn point. My favorite builds in Survival are underwater or high up in the air.
Last time I built a house in minecraft my friends destroyed most of it, surrounded it by a spruce forest, fucked up my bridge and spawned a wither inside of my house to try and kill me. I did nothing to them, all I did was try to play the game and get diamonds on my own. They also blew up my cave system by spawning charged creepers into it.
Are you the freakish beast that finishes expert builds in a day or are you the friend that fucks around barely doing anything
www.foolsblade.com/
Im the guy that has to get food and upgrade everyone's armour with my secret exp farms
Pretty much the second pal
Fucks around. I don't even build I just find a nice and cozy hill and live my beloved hobbit life!
I'm the person who rarely stays at a base and moves around a lot.
So I have little to no skills at building bases.
I’m too lazy to work on my base and just end up chucking random stuff everywhere when I need it. It’s like a parkour course half the time.
"That one kinda sucks"
And then you go inside and the inside is secretly a whole recreation if the French Catacombs
Lol
I did that once
Had a giant slime farm. A 64 furnace smelter. A bambo farm thats 60 by 20 blocks. Picking it up my minecarts
We getting out of the Catacombs with this one🗣🔥

The ultimate flex in a survival playthrough is building a complex redstone build in your house. That's what I did with a redstone staircase.
That’s it? Damn.
Meanwhile the redstoners:
"You built your house? I built a redstone machine that mass produces them"
Did you just define what the ultimate flex is, and then proceed to state that you possess the ultimate flex 😦
I love redstone staircases
