Thank you for sharing your story! I was diagnosed with early scarring alopecia/ccca (plus I'm in menopause, so there's that) in January 2021, after losing most of my crown area. I met with a dermatologist (one horrible/one good) and decided to take an approach that focused on nutrition (ant-inflammatory and eliminating dairy). My hair is growing back (no meds or oils) and it's thicker than it has been in years. I'm still on the journey and just started a UA-cam channel to document this process and connect with other. We got this!
Thanks for stopping by. I'll check out your channel. I'm approaching it with nutrition as well. I just couldn't when the derm suggested shots in my head! Anywho, still on the journey and will post an update soon...
I was recently diagnosed with CCCA by biopsy. I opted to be aggressive with the treatment by injections, Clobetasol foam, Rogaine and antibiotic Doxoycline to combat the inflammation for 3 months along with prayers oh and diet change. Hope your journey is successful.
I was diagnosed with ccca alopecia as well by a dermatologist i thought the thinning and bald spots came from sew in weaves and glue ins so i ignored it for a long time .they said monoxidyl i tried that but there was something in the product that made my heart beat very fast i also got injections in my scalp which was very painful i never went back because i lost my job i got another job just waiting for insurance to kick in but i was advised not to manipulate area so i wear wigs i just put them on no glue no sew ins i use aloe vera treatment as well as deep conditioning and braids underneath along with doo grow hair grease mixed with rose mary peppermint avocado and Jamaican black castor oil with prayer yes i pray for my hair and have gotten great results im not cured yet but i had a breakthrough which mean there is hope i hope this helps someone i was thinking of making a video
Thanks for sharing your story. I stopped short when the dermatologist said the next step was steroid shots in my head...OMG. I'm still exploring natural options and will post a progress video soon. Stay tuned...
I have also been diagnosed CCCA, they found scarring in my biopsy. :( I have been doing a topical and injection to hopefully stop it from spreading. I have expected that hair wont grow back but I just want it to stop. I have also chopped my hair off and started my loc journey. How are things going for you since the treatment?
I started treatment 6 months ago and I have seen a DRASTIC change. I recently did a big chop and there was no way I couldve pulled it off a year ago lol. I also include biotin and scalp massages into my day. You can buy both from Amazon for a great price. Dr put me on a break from injections for 3 months to see how it plays out while still using the minoxidil
So should I go to a trichologist or a dermatologist? My hair is breaking in the crown area and my scalp is super tender and irritated.... I need a doctor like now ... I’m about to cut my hair off
Trichologist are good for holistic health and to reduce hair loss. Dermatologist are good for conventional medicine to stop inflammation. I use both and have stemmed my hair loss.
@@DarlingEbony go to blackhairandskincare they have hair products they re grow CCCA type hair. Also take msm pills and pumpkin seed oil pills change your diet to healthy eating
Starting all over wouldn't help with the actual CCCA because the cause stems from internal conditions. Until that's addressed, when the hair grows back, the same pattern would return.
I am not a licensed professional, just sharing my personal story. However, maybe there's a trichologist in your area that can help. Try looking for someone who prioritizes natural approaches. Some offer online services now too...

How are you doing with your locs

Don't cut your hair until you see a dermatologist, preferably a Black dermatologist.
Visit a dermatologist first to determine underlying causes. A trichologist is a good follow up to help you with treatment plan.

@@MamaEzi What treatment did the Dermatologist prescribe for you? Also what treatments are your trichologist doing? Thanks
Hello Ma'am🤗...
What exactly were you prescribed by the physician
Hi there, since I'm not a doctor, I'll refrain from listing specific prescriptions here:)
@@loccessories You can't tell us, since the "doctor" prescribed it and not you?

So how is the process going?
Still working on it. I stopped actively addressing it for awhile and see that it's time to get back on track. Will be posting an update soon...
Yeah I wanted to know do most people chop their hair off with the CCC alopecia and just start all over again
You can but it’s best to treat the inflamed area.
Starting all over wouldn't help with the actual CCCA because the cause stems from internal conditions. Until that's addressed, when the hair grows back, the same pattern would return.
Do you have a email to contact you? I have the CCCA Alopecia and wanted to ask some questions. Thanks
We need to form a group
@@ntuan9360 I have Ccca alopecia. Wish I could talk to someone who got help .
