This is a really sad SCP, that poor girl just can't help it and while suffering greatly she still apologises for something done through no fault of her own
She is too young now but I am wondering, if she were to have a child of her own and the child was to die would she be able to channel him or her in a similar manner?
This scp story reminds me a movie about parents who lost their child, and how they learned to heal. One line from the film I remember distinctively was "...When a child loses their parents, they're called an Orphan. But what do you call parents who lost a child..?"
2118 is like reopening a wound, and depending on the individual, rubbing salt and squeezing lemons on it. It isn't intentionally harmful, but it is rather morbid to leave alone. What it does do, however, is offer some degree of closure. Closure in regards to finding out how some children died for whatever reason. It's imitating the dead, but sometimes imitation is the best form of flattery.
in the SCP world, it seems like u are either a mass murdering monster or a tragic story that has no happy ending whatsoever very rarely are there any good SCPs or good stories involving SCPs
@@joshwright4799 as far as I know, Freeze's wife, Nora, is A) an adult, and B) not dead, but in cryostasis, so 2118 would probably have nothing to imitate to Freeze.
That would make good sense. Sadly, some SCPs can become something much more deadlier, but it can never be their fault. Imagine if she was kidnapped by Serpent's Hand or killed off by the GoC just for being an anomaly.
I read the article and its basically done against her will. her anomalous properties manifest whenever theres a parent with a dead child near her, its like an allergy rather than a ability, it just happens are you can't really stop it.
Yeah but the problem with that is that her own parents also lost a child and since her anomalous capabilities happen without her control, it may cause her parents to abuse her (or unwittingly hurt herself like with the glue incident).
This would work, but she'd be in the public eye and they wouldn't know what random people she'd bump into- say, nieghbors, parents of friends her own age, etc. had lost a child. She'd have to hope she's only surrounded by single people who never, ever had experianced death of a child in their lives. ironically she seems to be the only child that could really benefit from some very staunch child-free adults to watch over and raise her so she could at least have a decent childhood to adulthood.
The video makes it seem that she can't control the talking at all. Like, if she was near someone who lost a child too young then she would start babbling and be unable to stop it.
Scp-2118 is another one of those sad SCPs, she's like scp-053 and scp-3663, she's an anomaly that never wanted to hurt anyone and never meant any harm to anyone.
She could be usefull if used the right way, like during a trial for example : Judge : you're accused of killing your own 6 year old child Parent : no i didn't do it i swear Scp-2118 : please dad don't kill me nooooooooo Judge : i sentence you to un alive
SCP-2118 Object Class: Safe Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2118 is currently contained in a standard humanoid holding cell observed at all times by standard motion-activated security cameras. Cell is to be furnished with appropriate furnishings for a █-year-old child, along with two stuffed animals (an orca whale and an elephant). SCP-2118 may go to an outdoor enclosure once a day, for a length not to exceed one hour between the hours of 0900 and 1700. It is to be accompanied by at least one attendant who has never had children and is versed in American Sign Language (ASL) and its translation etiquette and usage. SCP-2118 is not to be allowed verbal access to any other personnel except within approved testing parameters. Description: SCP-2118 is a human female, age █, with orange hair and light gray eyes. It has a scar on its right cheek, 9cm long, in the shape of an open parenthesis. SCP-2118 claims it received the scar several years ago when it was struck by a stranger on the street, but is reluctant to elaborate further. SCP-2118 communicates primarily through ASL and occasionally through writing, though it is capable of producing coherent speech. The anomalous properties of SCP-2118 manifest when it is exposed to a parent who has, at some point in their life, dealt with the death of their child. In these instances SCP-2118 begins to speak in a voice inconsistent with what its own should sound like, instead reflecting the age and gender of the aforementioned deceased child (hereafter referred to as SCP-2118-01) at time of death. SCP-2118 is aware of its speech and vocal patterns as well as the psychological distress they cause the parent, signing various apologies and platitudes even as it continues speaking. Testing has indicated that SCP-2118-01 must have been prepubescent under the age of 18 at time of death. (Further testing indicated it is not the biological age, but the legal age, by which SCP-2118-01 defines a 'child'.) Typically the words and sounds SCP-2118 mimics are consistent with the final words/sounds of SCP-2118-01. It is uncertain, at this point, how SCP-2118 accurately mimics the sounds of drowning, asphyxiation, or the formation of blisters in the throat cavity. Of note is that SCP-2118's face maintains a look of contrition while said sounds are being mimicked, despite the occasionally violent nature of SCP-2118-01's death. I feel as if that's not a good idea, sure there is a possibility it stops 106 from being as hostile as they are, but its also a big possibility that 106 would become more hostile

The one thing we can all take away from this is how important consent is. The SCPF may want to know more, but they need to wait until the girl will willingly help them know more.
I really wish SCPs were real, and especially this one. I lost my brother to suicide back in February, he was off at college and was completely alone. When the police came and told us what happened, I asked them if he at least left a note, but he didn't. Nobody knows what his last words were, and SCP 2118 could really bring me some closure in that department.
You mightnot want to hear how they died in the process. Who knows, they might have not been able to say anything. I do warn you. SCPs are contained not just for the world's protection but even for those contained in some cases.
When I first read this one several months ago, when I read the interview with Agent M all I could think was imagine if this is how you found out your child was dead.
Such a sad SCP, she’s the mirror of erised and the pensieve in one package. She probably just wants a normal life, but people keep getting mad at her or want ti use her.
What if they introduced her to _Shy Guy?_ She might be able to channel someone from his past years as a normal mortal man. And, drag up some memories of his old life. Remembering that might just get him to remember some other things about who and what kind of a person he was. It could be the start of curing Shy Guy. : )
I would love to see you guys covering the whole story about SCP-4840 along with the rest of that timeline like Old Europe and SCP-2615 the fae and the different stories about SCP-1000 the children of the night. Audapaupadopolis has such a complicated history. My head wants to explode every time I try to understand it. I mean I get it, but I won’t remember all of it lmao 🤣
Kinda wish they'd do more videos related to SCP-2746 and SCP-1913 with how the video on SCP-2746 ended I really want to know more about the animal-related SCP's the video hinted on.
Truly morbid. I have watched enough news to know that not all children that have passed away did so peacefully. Hearing what happened to them I don't even want to try to imagine what their final words might have been
Man... This one had me thinking of my son. He hasn't passed away, but we haven't seen each other in a couple years. Got my heart aching over here for fictional parents, cause I'd break into the foundation if she could simply channel ANY child. Can't even imagine longing to hear your dead child's voice and then the voice you end up hearing is them being stabbed to death or something. Phuckkk man.....
I wonder what would happen for a parent with a late term miscarriage they mourned greatly? Also, when they brought the killer D class in and she said in sign language “it’s about to do it I’m so sorry” means she can’t control it, like a coughing fit but much sadder. Also, can she write?
Minute early LETS GOOO Well that was... really crude. This went dark very fast. I honestly wonder if the Foundation have intentions of taking this anomalies out of their respective SCP instead of containing them. It's clear that some of them like this girl would rather not have it. Day 15 and 16 of asking for a video of "The Things Dr Bright Is Not Allowed To Do At The Foundation" with some backstories and explanations to some of them! Last video was 2 days
What would happen if she spoke to someone who had a stillborn, because when you think about it is still born, didn't even have the chance to make a sound before it died
*Serious question: what would happen if SCP-2118 was bunked with SCP-053?* Would that solve 053s loneliness and they would both become friends? Or would they not get along? (They could give 2118 a device to type into that activates a voice, or teach 053 sign language to give her something to do)
I wanna go and give this SCP a hug, who wants to join, it is advised that those with deceased loved one who were under the age of 18 not come join because of their anomalous effects, also they seem to be slightly lonely so perhaps another child, preferably one already in containment who poses no danger can interact with them, or at the very least there be sessions were staff who do not meet the criteria interact with them, and getting off track again, who wants to come hug them?
Because 2118 is just 9 years old, she still needs education. If the foundation can mould her, she may become more emotionally mature by her late teenage years and adulthood, allowing her to help solve cold cases involving children without risk of emotional distress.
I feel like the author thst wrote this SCP had an unsolved murder of a child who she/he is emotionally bonded with. Also did The Foundation seriously reported a murder to the police? Is it at least an undercover SCP agent posing as a police?
It's SCPs like this one & the Young Girl that I feel really sorry for. They have no control over their abilities & feel truly sorry for all the trouble they cause, but there's nothing anyone can do to help them except keep them prisoner for their own & everyone else's safety. Their lives must be Hell.
Don't forget about the real SCP - 166 or SCP-847 The Mannequin, and SCP-040 Evolution's Child. 😢 They could build a minimum security facility for such girls. It could be staffed by all women, and they could even meet each other and associate in the common areas! 😃 Ms. Sweetie could be kept there, and they might even learn some things about using their "Curses" in ways to defend themselves. But, Not the invisible woman SCP - 347 , SCp-029 The Daugher of Shadows, SCP-811 the Swamp Woman, nor The Babba Yaga, etc. :
@@TheNoiseySpectator Excellent ideas, I agree completely. But the organization doesn't really even pretend to care about these girls, or anyone else, for that matter. Look at how they use the D-Class people for all their crazy experiments. Yes, the D-Classers agree to participate, but they really aren't given a choice, & if one is killed or maimed or driven insane, oh well! They just terminate (murder) them if things go sideways & go on to the next one. And look at how expendable even the SCPs are. They sent the Young Girl into the cage of their most dangerous SCP just to see what would happen, after gaining the girl's trust. And they sent that happy orange blobby thing - I forget it's number - into that same monster's cage for the same reason. No, the SCPs aren't considered "human" to these jerks.
@@BoughtByTheBlood Eh, compared to most. The foundation is oftentimes their best place. It helps the fpundation is flexible in dealing with SCPs. Be it for good or not.

Was he under 18?
She could definitely help grieving families and police also.
I wonder how she'll react to the Little Girl.
I know they're probably held in different sites, and different threat levels.
This is heartbreaking. I feel so sorry for her
*Hank Anderson meets SCP-2118 after Deviant Connor dies*
SCP-2118: They're going to raid Jericho
After the failure of the indoraptor Dr. Wu desided to start working for the SCP foundation
That first minute makes my boss, who I find a little intimidating, look like the world's softest heart.
Yes another video, another day, another scp to contain
Uhm most of them are already contained
@@troubleteam3147 c o n t a m i n a t e d
she is one of the most human/normal things they have in containment.
Ah, you forgot to mention you turn into this SCP whenever you're the middle child
Or, you take the ladders instead of the elevator.
I am the middle child and take the stairs
The animation improvement is so great.
Hunter's voice acting keeps getting better and better
Doctor Wu? Can he break himself up into gravel? Is he really just a shadow of the man that I once knew?
This isn't a curse, its a blessing. She could help police, grieving people and scientists. Only if the right person helped her 😢😊
As a father of deceased, unborn children, this is kind of messed up.
Day 12 until SCP Explained makes a video about the Broken Masquerade cannon.
@@Jason-tz7ir Dude it’s just a suggestion you idiot let the man do what he wants
@@Jason-tz7ir He is clearly a troll
She needs a cuddle session with SCP-999.
Find the tickle monster and give it to her during any testing from then on.
When I first read this one several months ago, when I read the interview with Agent M all I could think was imagine if this is how you found out your child was dead.
Hey, you could make a video about all types of cognitohazards, that would explain a lot about it.
I’m lost in what scp video to watch next
The last time I was this early, the Administrator was still a child. 😅
Such a sad SCP, she’s the mirror of erised and the pensieve in one package. She probably just wants a normal life, but people keep getting mad at her or want ti use her.
Day one of asking SCP explained to do the 914 trials
What if they introduced her to _Shy Guy?_
She might be able to channel someone from his past years as a normal mortal man.
I was hoping you would do a an SCP like this! Thank you!
Kinda wish they'd do more videos related to SCP-2746 and SCP-1913 with how the video on SCP-2746 ended I really want to know more about the animal-related SCP's the video hinted on.
Bro, I came for anomalies, not depression
This one is just sad. Heartbreaking for everyone around. Poor little girl just wants to be loved like any other kid.
Just an average enjoyer of this channel
My favorite scp
Truly morbid. I have watched enough news to know that not all children that have passed away did so peacefully. Hearing what happened to them I don't even want to try to imagine what their final words might have been
Me: Next video on broken masquerade Cannon?
"I lost muh daddeh!"
Top 30 Saddest SCPs material? Absolutely.
9:26 *(Implying the Foundation cares about ethics)*
Sign language is really hard in the dimension of the ball hand people.
Day 83 of asking the O5 Council to use SCP-1968 to create a universe in which 682 doesn't exist.
wouldve been a better twist if the author wrote in the site director as having lost a kid
When creating dinosaurs didn’t cut it anymore so you move to handling anomalies
Best. Channel. Ever!
Poor kid she has to endure all this poor child was probably normal b4
finally, a video about me.
Cringe.
Mate don't take this personally i couldn't give a fuck
Yes anything crazy is like you because ur not like others
Same
I see 3 people who don't know what sarcasm is
mind blown dr wu is so so smart in making dinosaurs cuz he was in the SCP Foundation
Like 053, only instead of turning people violent, she makes people sad.
So the d class they used was innocent of the crime he had been accused of
I wonder what would happen for a parent with a late term miscarriage they mourned greatly?
Also, when they brought the killer D class in and she said in sign language “it’s about to do it I’m so sorry” means she can’t control it, like a coughing fit but much sadder.
Also, can she write?
3:24 What is this Jurassic Park?
Minute early LETS GOOO
Well that was... really crude.
Literally stfu. Nobody asked.
Wow ! Not your everyday SCP story. Somehow I find this particular story very tragic. I lost my only son 10 years ago.
Are you doing a end of the year animated compilation scp explained story and animation?
Nobody should EVER have to lose a child or have one missing.. but that’s just the way of things
My oc loves kids like they adopted 10 and they would adopt this one too
3:08 this is what i hear when my mom yells at me
No more parents getting away with it
3:05 ayo what the researcher bout to do she lookin mad sus my guy
I was just reading about this one
Idea to delete Scp-682 of the SCP list of worries: Write in SCP-294 water when boiled teleports scp-682 to red dimension.
Wonder if she could help solve cold cases of missing children presumed dead
What would happen if she spoke to someone who had a stillborn, because when you think about it is still born, didn't even have the chance to make a sound before it died
3:23 it's the guy who made the indominus Rex!!
*Serious question: what would happen if SCP-2118 was bunked with SCP-053?* Would that solve 053s loneliness and they would both become friends? Or would they not get along?
(They could give 2118 a device to type into that activates a voice, or teach 053 sign language to give her something to do)
053 would probably induce violent behavior in 2118 as she does with anyone, resulting in 2118's death from 053's other trait
To be honest this could be good plot for a horror movie
This is sad, man did this made a turn for the worst.
As soon as I herd about the use of sign language I knew
Still salty my good Ikea idea wasn't spoken of 😂
Which one is it?
I feel like the author thst wrote this SCP had an unsolved murder of a child who she/he is emotionally bonded with.
Also did The Foundation seriously reported a murder to the police? Is it at least an undercover SCP agent posing as a police?
Thank you for the video
Very sad scp
This sounds like prime time for amnestics
It's SCPs like this one & the Young Girl that I feel really sorry for. They have no control over their abilities & feel truly sorry for all the trouble they cause, but there's nothing anyone can do to help them except keep them prisoner for their own & everyone else's safety. Their lives must be Hell.
Don't forget about the real SCP - 166 or SCP-847 The Mannequin, and SCP-040 Evolution's Child. 😢
They could build a minimum security facility for such girls.
It could be staffed by all women, and they could even meet each other and associate in the common areas! 😃
Ms.
Dr.Wu?!?! Is working with Dinosaurs not enough for ya?.
What would happen if she herself lost a child in adulthood, would her anomalous affects not be triggered or would she constantly repeat her dead child’s last words again and again for the rest of her life…
There should be a movie about this
Oh no!!! Rock Humans infiltrated the SCP Foundation!!!! Better Call Josuke!!!
