I was just talking about this to my wife and sons about a confrontation I had with a big Russian man and the first thing I thought of was the palm strike to his face/chin area… amazing content family!!! Much love and appreciation for you guys!!! Honor!!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Bas Rutten used palm strikes effectively more than anyone else in his fights in the 90s. The rules in japan were palm strikes to the face and punches to the body. It's an effective tool.
Yes I'm real big on palm strikes and Wing Chun machine gun punches to follow so he can't recover plus palm strikes save you from breaking your fingers hand and wrist. I try if available to go for the eyes very first thing. Bass Rotten was an expert on the use of palm strikes 👍🤜🤛
I agree, to the HEAD. If you train just a very few hours at how to punch properly, punches to the solar plexus, bladder, testicles, floating ribs and kidneys work VERY well, provided that you land them" cleanly'. That means that they are not somewhat blocked or deflected by the arms.
Just an idea. Can you do a slow motion example of how a palm strike can be combined with using fingers to interupt vision? And maybe, again in slow motion, show open hand methods of interrupting breathing?
Great teaching and demos because it goes counter to what we are typically inclined to do in fights. Though i have worked a lil bit with wing chung guys and jeet kun do guys who have showed the options when getting inside. This technique I find effective for when CLOSING THE GAP inside.
"Bas Rutten that & this" Well, I don't care about what he did with his palms, because that guy was a fighter (so his purpose was to destroy his opponent through cold blows) and ALL I WANT TO ACHIEVE is to take the vision & balance of whoever threatens my integrity & f*ck*ng run.
Not contradicting you, but maybe you should consider these techniques as tools in a set of things that you CAN use. Not “have to,” use… PLUS, they stated on another idea that you have taken the man’s vision PERMANENTLY. So, even those techniques need applied in the right context. Life or death. And like you, I want to escape. So be sure to practice, sprinting at least a couple times per week. Bc if we don’t train it - we may not be conditioned enough to do it. Or! We may tear a muscle and that may cost us our life! Good luck and hopefully we won’t NEED to use any of this information. 🙏👍
Stop beating up your co-demonstrator. Kenny keeps on ticking. He feels pain when he is tapping out. Stop all that yelling too we can hear you or we can turn up the volume.

Thanks for palm Sunday. And for breaking it down easy to understand.
AJ thanks for providing practical advice. It is better than my years of training.
