Hi! I'm new to your channel and I love this tour of my home town! I have a question, what camera do use and any edit programs you suggest to make a killer video like this one? I'd like to know if you can share this with me, thank you!
Great tour of old town, really brought back what it's like to walk around there. I'm looking forward to a Part 2 with the rest of Albuquerque, which I haven't seen. The video needs a camera grip with better vertical stabilization though - the bouncing was distracting.
Wel;l, you fouled up big time right out of the gate. The "Duke Cit" nick name is named after John (the Duke) Wayne. You're talking about going to Central from the Plaza in Old Town but you were walking in the opposite direction
You seem to be portraying Old Town as typical Albuquerque. Old Town is just a tourist stop. I love it and always take company there, but it's not representative of the city. Yes, the cost of living is much lower than large cities like NY, but so is the average income. I believe Albuquerque's cost of living is average compared to the whole US, or perhaps a little lower.
The government in Albuquerque will do nothing (but they'll do it aggressively) about the homeless and it's become a cleanliness issue. The restaurants in Albuquerque are surprisingly bad, but the managers of the restaurants are VERY defensive and they would never admit a mistake in their food prep. (True - look at Yelp to see the defensiveness) The education system here was always bad, but since the pandemic, few people even graduate from highschool. It shows in every interaction you have - with grocery store employees, drug store employees, clinic employees. The other remarkable thing is that they diligently NEVER follow up. If someone says they'll get back to you, get their name and then call them a week or two later. They got busy. People will risk killing you to speed to a stop sign, and most days there are car parts (fenders, bumpers, car mirrors etc) on every corner because there are so many accidents. The police just decided they will not respond to 911 calls at the homeless camps. The weather is beautiful, the people are really nice (if they are out of their cars).
Its the places old town is pretty much deserted and when you go down a few streets to downtown thats where its at and uptown as well this video doesn't give any justice
